Chapter 10: Arjun Purvi Break Up
"yesterday we had a great fun, nah Purvi?" asks Arjun in smiling face. Though they came late at yesterday, still Manav felt safe for Purvi as she was with Arjun only. So, he didn't interogate much about this
"Yes Arjun, we have enjoyed it a lot" says Purvi without looking into Arjun's eyes
Arjun comes closure to her and keeps his hands around Purvi's shoulder "And we have shared some special moment too. I didn't know that you also have some feeling for me, you know, I spend the entire last night without blink my eyes..only remembering about you" Arjun says in smiling face
"what are you saying Arjun? have you gone crazy?" Purvi says in irritating voice
"what happen Purvi?" Arjun seems shocked
"don't you know that I love Vinay so much, this is true that he misbehaved me, but he apologized me as well and you know , see this ring, we will be getting married after we finish our college" Puurvi indicates a ring on her ring finger, but Arjun does not look at it.
"But, that kiss, that your touch of love..what was that Purvi? If you still love Vinay why with me then?" asks Arjun, he is now gradually becoming shattered
"What Arjun? What wrong did I do with you Arjun? come on, be grow up!!! we are not a kid now, at least you don't have to think that we came closure so we love each other..damn Arjun, that was not love!!!" says Purvi
"then what is love Purvi? you were crying..you hugged me, felt secured at my arm, shared every pain of your heart with me and then we had those most beautiful and special moment of our life..we came closure for the first time" Arjun tries to make her understand
"Ohh ghosh..it was just an accident Arjun, if anyone else was there, it would have been the same with him too..why can't you just understand it?" says Purvi explaining her point of view
"if there were another guy, you would do the same, you would kiss him, you would cry keeping your head on his chest, how could you Purvi" shouts Arjun now
"relax Arjun, why are you getting hypered..I know you like me, but wake up, I don't want you to be heart broken, it feels bad, you are my childhood best buddy, stop liking me." she poses and continues " I can't be yours, sorry Arjun, please forgive me, but I love Vinay madly, I can't think anyone expect him..."
"Enough Purvi, that's enough, I think, you don't love me, you have no right to say whom I love or whom not..this is my personal thing and I don't want anyone's interference in it and " Arjun doesn't end it, he gets interrupted
"but this is all about me nah!!!" Purvi becomes surprised
"I have not finished my words yet Purvi" says Arjun, now Purvi also feels scared as she has never seen such kind of face of Arjun, his eyes is really shining, difficult to understand if it is out of anger or pain, "I know, you just wanted to give out your frustration on me yesterday, I can understand it" Arjun takes a fresh breath and continues " you know, this is not your fault, I was actually living in the dreams, kya karu, aadat par gaya tha, but Thanks to you for making me practical, you know Purvi, I always want you to be happy in your life..not necessary, I can be your part of life or not, so, from now, I promise you you will not face any problem from my side "
"I am sorry Arjun" Purvi says in low voice
"no, no Purvi..not at all..you must not be sorry..you have not hurt me, this is necessity of life, you know..You love Vinay, because you know he is the right one for you and you should proud of your choice and decision, I am happy for you Purvi" Arjun says
"Can't we just be bestest buddy forever Arjun, you know me so well" Purvi pleads
"Of course we are Purvi, I will be your friend forever..you know like a Book..a friend always by your side, when you need me, when you don't need me, every time, if I stay with you no matter " Arjun says and turns back to her.
"Don't forget to invite me in your wedding receiption Puurvi, I am your friend nah, and wo bhi bachpan wala, so kuch toh haq banta hai" he says and walks from there
Purvi looks sad, surprised, she was not prepared, she didn't expect it. She looks at the opened door slide and vacant path through which Arjun just passed few seconds before. Everything went right few minutes ago, but now, everything seems to be as blank. She is happy, but can't celebrate it.
