I found the perfect song that Onir should sing to Purvi when she leaves him to get back with Arjun:

Thanks Varsha. I was just listening it to it and thought, how perfect is this song? I think it also suits Arjun, especially the way she dumped him on their wedding day after sleeping with him the night before, but this guy will crawl back to her so I'm disgusted with him. He won't question her or anything and just accept all of her sins. I want Onir to at least get justice and make sure he lets Purvi know what kind of a person she really is. I guess it's a good thing that he won't have to suffer such a wife if Arvi get back together and also Ovi will be free from this farce of a marriage.

I too thought it was a perfect song, but I think it will not be put to use just yet. Purvi wiill NEVER let Arjun expose her to the storm of shame and aggressive criticism that the revelation of her illegitimate baby will call forth. She will also never go back to him even if Onir were to let her go and Ovi to do the same for Arjun.That would simply not gel with her sanskaari self image. To be exposed and placed on par with Punni? Not on her life! And to be branded as an ungrateful woman who broke her marriage vows to a man whose favours to her she will never be able to repay? Never.

My assessment, for whatever it is worth, is that Purvi will once again be able to force Arjun to hold his tongue and obey her orders, in doing which he has anyway had plenty of practice. That can be the only reason for the scene where Soham takes on Arjun, and comes up tops, for Arjun was clearly stopped from going in and telling all, at least to Purvi (but with the rest of the K household behind the door). I loved that scene, and I don't care a hoot whether Arjun was wrongly accused by Soham or not.

I share the dismay and disgust of all those who were appalled, both by Arjun's apparent amnesia about his dead baby , as also about what this revelation would mean for Ovi ,and by his sudden gush of affection for Pari whereas he was behaving like a chronic dyspeptic, even with the baby, till then. It lowers Arjun's character so much that by now he must have broken thru the floor.

Poor Rithvik! Incidentally, my fears that after so much of underutilization for weeks now, he might begin to forget how to act well, are now, unfortunately, being borne out. In the scene after he finds out about the baby swap and then Pari's parentage, his performance was stilted, forced and artificial. The only scene where he looked like the old Rithivik was in the first shot of him in front of the Ks' place, when he looks up at the window. Now, I normally never add the standard caveat that this is my POV, for I feel that is self-evident, but this time I would,for once, emphasise that, along with a re-iteration of my unfettered right to critique the performances of any of the actors in this benighted serial.

As for Poor Onir (caps not a mistake!) I am afraid there seems to be no early chance of his breaking free from the toils of his Mishti. He would need a solid dose of good luck for that to happen, and Lady Luck does not seem too fond of him these days.

If I was Aladdin's djinn, I would have said, Your wish is my command, mere aaka!, and promptly produced my comments on Arjun yesterday. But alas, I saw this only after I had sent them in. You can see them above. This apart, my Sasha is here after a while,so I am now totally pre-occupied with him, and am here only because he is communing at present with his LA office. I thus could not, right now, care less about how Arjun's character is being butchered, or even about how the actor performs.

I have to add only one thing: I was, as I had noted in my response to Nina, disappointed with Rithvik's take on what should have been a big scene for him, that too after ages.But Shakti, of whom much less is expected because his low key style is taken by most of this forum to be non-acting, was very effective in the scene the day before as he looks at Arjun coming up and talking to his wife. It was not clear whether he could listen, at that distance, to what was being said, but the changing expressions on his face were very interesting, as was the very last shot of his face as Arjun turns to leave. Ambiguous, but jealousy and dismay at what he might have taken to be a revival of the Arjun-Purvi relationship, were all on display, very subtly.

shyamala aunty you have been one of the biggest and fairest arjun fans im really hoping you will write a piece on this. i will be very glad to read your insight. as an ex arjun fan i feel ashamed for him right now. his wife whose world begins and ends with him and pari is no where in his thoughts. he wants the woman who cares more about everyone than him. my mother was like that-samaj seva. but forgot to save her marriage and make time for me. i had drug problems in my teen years. thats what will happen to pari with purvi. his dead baby is no where in his thoughts. his daughter is even unfortunate that his love for her depends on her maternal parentage. imagine if he thinks she is purvi's for 10 years and then suddenly finds out that by some accident she is actually ovi's child- im guessing she will b immediately demoted from his love list. so sad. really justice for ovi, pari and dead baby.

Purvi n Onir's scenes were like brother n sister today i laughed so hard when Purvi was talking continuously like an News Channel n Onir was on Mute."Onir aap na apna dhayan nahi rakhte".
Soham's scene was good i loved the scene where he says Archana aai pls listen to me where Purvi was listening all this like Sulochana does everytime.
Precap looks interesting Manav should take Soham in his house bcoz he is own son n he has right to live there otherwise Soham can come up filing a case against Manav.
