Radha rani as she was known was not Krishna's lover . She was much elder to him and already married . Her self realisation started when she first was tremendously attracted to the divine music when he played the flute . Later a friendship developed in which she lost interest in material things ...namely her sansaar or marital life ...in which she only thought of him as she saw God in him . This happens during sadhana when you are on your way to achieve self realisation ...it is a stage described by many self realized souls .

Meera , like Radha Rani too was a married woman . She had worshipped Krishna since she was a little girl because while watching a wedding procession she had innocently asked her mother ' where is my husband '. Her mother had pointed to a Krishna idol .

Such was her innocence at that tender age that she believed it with her heart and worshipped him so much that when her marraige was really arranged to a King she was already in an advanced spiritual state . So much so that even her husband knew it . Infact the first thing Meera asked him when they got married was if he was going to pull her down from the spiritual level she had reached . And he had answered 'No .'

This is called as 'madhur bhava' and it is a state in self realisation whereby you achieve it by regarding God as your fiancee and giving up your life to him till you reach the total surrender .

There are nine such 'bhavas' in Hinduism whereby one can realise God . Hanuman achieved it by 'Dasya bhava' in which one regards God as the master and the devtee is his servant who does his bidding .

Bhakti is best installed at a young age than old age is a living proof when one studies Radha Rani's life or Meera's life .

They were not even born in the same age . If Radha was born during the time Krishna was physically present Meera was born in a much later time .

There is no comparison between the two ...they both are married ladies who lost interest in material sansaar and achieved self realisation .

One thing they both did ...they did not dump their God at the last minute .😆

You are correct Kools. I was actually surprised when I read that they were in love it was merely selfless devotion. Devotion is a different kind of love.

For what and who? Mere mortals of fictional stories??? To justify Arjun-Purvi's love or Arjun-Ovi's divorce to reunite Arjun-Purvi? Pls keep god out of this silly serial 😲😳

Do any of these youngsters know who Radha and Meerabai were?
Lord Krishna was marrked to Rukhmani the first wife who held his heart completely...Than Jambavanti & Satyabhama...
Neither Radha nor Meerabai were Lord Krishna was in love with or were lovers...
Pls do not bring mythological stories to compare with this silly fictional serials..
I am posting mere facts abt who Radha and Meera bai were..

Could not agree with you more! There was never "love" between radha and Meerabai with krishna. My parents made me go to sunday school every week to keep in touch with my roots. I am simply appalled that such comparison could be even thought of.Both Radha and Meerabai were devotees of krishna.. I know Arvi fans want to justify their love I also do but please do not make such comparisons because some people may feel offended

I think there was love between Krishna and Radha and Krishna and Meera bhai ...but the love took a divine form between all of them (and in different time - and of course Krishna the supreme consiousness). Selfless Love is the most divine form of worship...in a sense, the highest form and is beyond the physical sense that we attribute in 'love' in the modern sense...
Even Mary Magladene is considered such love, although Christinity fail to see it as such...
Love of Chaitanya and RamKrishna is considered as such...all are at that point loving God -an inanaimate object but seeing life through the spiritual consious self...we also worship the mere mortal men who rose to supreme consiousness because of their spirituality...
Love this discuss XoXo...thanks...

Yes xoxoarvi ...it is devotion ...something that is very very rare and not commonly experienced . It is the only thing advised to be asked from God but when one shuts eyes in prayer one thinks of his immediate difficulties

a sick child
personal sickness
infertility''
marraige
promotion
poverty

etc etc . It is very hard to ask only devotion . Radha and Meera asked only that .

It is not 'love' as comprehended by us commoners , to experience it frankly one requires grace .

Maria Goretti described herself as the bride of Christ .

As Kalapi said ...Mary Magdalene also experienced it .

Jesus Christ himself achieved realisation by regarding God as a Father figure . Ramkrishna Paramhansa regarded that supreme power as a mother figure .

Hanuman regarded him as a Master .

It is nothing but different ways of devotion . It should never be confused with what we comprehend as love . Only the very few experience it and they are truly blessed .

So true Kool...it isn't the commoner's form of love, that one marries and reproduces (although our sacred books even regard that highly as duties of life)...and the interesting fact is that this is a true form of Bhakti that really can be achieved in ones life, as was shown by Sri Ramakrishna Paramhongso in the 1800s and proved his divine love under scientific reasoning...so what we see in the Vedas are true even now and can be achieved...divine love that goes beyond the mortal self can be achieved and love in any form in its truest sense will only bring one closer to God...

Wish PR CVs had that sense...
