Part - 16

Shiva wondered where Raavi was going. He wanted to follow her but at the same time Janardhan’s henchmen arrived at the construction site and insisted that the shop construction should not be resumed until Janardhan gives a go ahead as nothing should be built in that neighbourhood without Janardhan’s consent. Shiva entered into an argument with them and refused to stop the construction as Janardhan does not have any legal authority to interfere in their shop construction. The argument developed into a fight and Shiva ended up beating the henchmen of Janardhan and told them to go and inform Janardhan that as long as Shiva is alive Janardhan can not stop the construction of the shop.

Raavi reached Janardhan’s house and parked the scooter outside the entrance of Janardhan’s haveli and approached the entrance. She was stopped by the security guard and questioned the purpose of her visit. She told the security that she came to visit her friend Rishitha. But the security informed her that she can not meet Rishita as the latter is out of the town since two months. Raavi recalled that she met Rishita some 15 days ago and she grew suspicious by the lies of the security guard. So Raavi insisted for meeting Rishita’s parents. But the security guard refused to allow her inside the haveli. Raavi was disappointed as she could not reach Rishita either on phone or in person. She felt that something is fishy and decided to wait near the haveli for sometime and see if any body is coming out. She came little away from the haveli and was watching the Haveli from behind a tree where no one can notice her. Suddenly a hand tapped on Raavi on her shoulder. She was shocked to death and closed her eyes in fear and stood like a statue.

“Aye Chacha Chaudhary ki bhanji! Yahan kya jasoosi kar rahi hai?”

Raavi was relieved to hear Shiva’s voice and opened her eyes. She saw Shiva standing in front of her with questioning eyes. She is seeing Shiva/ hearing his voice after a week. She didn’t see him after that night when Shiva dropped her home and she told him that she will not pursue her love for him. Though she missed him in this one week she controlled her urge to call or meet him. Now Shiva is standing right in front of her looking into her eyes and his presence was trying to weaken her resolution.

After the mute phone call which Shiva had received from Rishita which he mistook it as from Raavi, whenever the landline phone in Pandya Store rang he would almost jump on the phone and pick it up in anticipation of a silent call from Raavi. He received all the calls from suppliers, godown owners, customers, job seekers, donation seekers, fortune tellers, tele marketing people, wrong numbers and what not. Shiva almost became the official telephone operator of Pandya Store. But the poor fellow didn’t receive the mute call even from Rishita as the latter’s phone had been confiscated by her father. In this one week, he missed his mami ki behen ki beti’s bak bak. Now he is standing right in front of her trying to control his pounding heart and looking into her eyes.

After a few seconds, Raavi being Raavi controlled her mind, broke the eye lock with him and retorted.

“Aye James Bond ki apprentice! tu yahan kya kar raha ha? Tu Meri peecha kar raha kya?”

Shiva came out of the trance by her question and retorted.

“Sawal maine hi pehehe pucha hai. Jawab do”.

“Main kahin bhi hu...... kuch bhi karu....tujhe kya problem hai. Maine tho us din bol diya nah ki main tere peeche nahi aaungi. Ab tum kyu mere peecha kar rahe ho”, Raavi questioned him again.

“Agar mere peeche nahi aana toh us din mere liye Biryani kyu bheji tune”, Shiva asked.

“Konsi Biryani”, Raavi asked with confusion.

“Mushroom ki”, Shiva answered obediently.

“Maine tere liye kab bheji...”, Raavi suddenly remembered that she had sent Biryani to the Orphanage kids through Krish. “Ek minute... woh Biryani toh maine orphanage ke bacchon ke liye bheja hai... tum ne Krish se woh cheenkar khaliya? Sharam aani chahiye tujhe”, Raavi said in express speed.

Shiva knows that whenever Raavi feels extremely happy or extremely sad, she will make some special food and give it to orphanage children. Now he realised that as she was very sad that day she had made Biryani and sent it to Orphanage through Krish. But Krish gave a portion of it to Shiva as the latter likes Raavi’s signature dish. Shiva felt like killing Krish for causing this embarrassment. He decided to deal with Krish once he reach Pandya Niwas. He also felt disappointed that Raavi didn’t send the Biryani for him.

“Teek hai Biryani ko chod do....us din mere sath phone par luka chipi kyu khel rahi thi?”, Shiva asked her about the silent phone call.

“Maine kuch phone vone nahi ki tumhe. Kuch Sapna dekha hai kya?”, Raavi asked.

As already he got minus 10 points in the Biryani matter, Shiva didn’t want to pursue the phone matter as he feared that his score may go into negative zone. Raavi kept looking at him questioningly.

“Aye mami ki behen ki beti! Ab bath ko math mod. Bol tu yahan kya kar rahi hai?”, Shiva again came to the original question.

Raavi wanted to focus on what’s happening in Rishita’s house so she wanted to send Shiva away as soon as possible. So without arguing further she she answered him, “Meri friend Rishita se milne aayi thi”

“Kon? Woh Janardhan ki beti?....Chipkali ko Anaconda ke sath kya dosti hai?”, Shiva asked shaking his head.

“Khabardar tu meri friend ko ek aur bar Anaconda bole tho? Agar use patha chale toh tujhe mendhak banakar gatak legi”, Raavi warned him.

“Khud chipkali hai par anaconda ki parvaah karti hai”, Shiva muttered under his breath.

“Kya bola”, Raavi asked.

“Tu jaanthi bi ho ki woh Janardhan kaise Aadmi hai? Aur main Tujhe kitne baar samjhaaya tha ki woh Janardhan ki beti ke sath dosti math kar? Phir bhi use milne aayi? Ek aur bar bata raha hu..... us anaconda se apni dosti khatam kardo. Aur Ab chup chap ghar jao”, Shiva advised Raavi to go home as he sensed some danger.

“Tu ye decide math kar ki Mujhe kisse shaadi karni chahiye aur kisse dosti karni chahiye. Tujhe koi Haq nahi hai”, Raavi said bluntly.

Shiva was hurt by her words and got angry.

“Tumhe jo karna hai kar agar idhar hi marna hai toh mar. Par Main nahi aaunga tujhe bachane”

Shiva left without waiting for her reply. She kept looking at his trailing image with tears in her eyes.

So giving short updates with the hope that you won’t mind the size of the update as long as the story keeps progressing. Please tell me if you have any concern. Part - 17

Shiva had left the place and Raavi kept looking at his direction. She was brought back to her senses by the sound of a car horn and she immediately turned towards Janardhan’s haveli and noticed that a car was entering the haveli. She ran to the entrance of the haveli and looked inside through the gate and noticed that Janardhan was getting down from the car.

“Uncle.....uncle”, she called out to Janardhan.

The security guard tried to send her away. But Janardhan ordered the security guard to let Raavi inside the Haveli. Raavi was happy and she smirked at the security guard and went inside.

“Namaste uncle”, she greeted Janardhan and the latter responded by nodding his head.

“Uncle main Rishita ki friend Raavi hu. Hum dono college me classmates the. Aap ko yaad hai ki Jab ek bar aap Rishita ko pick up karne college aayethe tab Rishita ne aap se meri aur meri friend Dev ke mulaqat karayi thi?”, Raavi said in single breath.

Hearing Dev’s name, Janardhan knitted his eyebrows and recalled Rishita mentioning Raavi as a relative of Pandya Parivar. He thought that Dev might have sent Raavi so as to reach out to Rishita.

“Arey beti! Ab yaad aaya. Andhar aao na”, Janardhan said with a fake smile and Raavi was relieved that he remembered her.

Janardhan took Raavi to the drawing room and asked her to be seated. Raavi sat on the sofa and looked around the house to see if she can get a glimpse of Rishita.

“Uncle Rishita ghar par hai kya? Bohut dinon se uski phone switch off aara hai. Isiliye use milne aayi thi”, Raavi said.

“Dharasal beti! Rishita ne kal hi apni bua ki ghar gayi. Ab ghar par nahi hai”, Janardhan lied with a straight face.

Raavi recalled the security guard‘s words that Rishita was not in the town since two months. She grew more suspicious by the contradictory statements made by Janardhan and the security guard.

“Rishita se kuch zaroori kam hai kya? Itni dhoor se aaye ho”.Janardhan tried to find out the exact purpose of Raavi’s visit.

“Woh uncle.....woh”, Raavi wondered if she can talk about Dev to him or not.

“Dev aur Rishita ke bare me bath karna chahte ho”,Seeing Raavi’s hesitation Janardhan asked bluntly.

Raavi’s eyes widened.

“Aap woh dono ke pyaar ke bare me jaanthe hai kya?”, she asked Janardhan trying to hide her excitement.

“Haan jantha hu kyunki meri beti mujse kuch nahi chupa thi”, Janardhan said proudly.

Raavi was relieved that Janardhan already knew the matter and she misunderstood that he supports Dev and Rishita’s love.

“Par uncle! Hamare parivaarwale ne meri aur Dev ki shaadi thay karliye hai”, Raavi said.

Hearing what Raavi just said, Janardhan beamed with happiness and was laughing out louder. Raavi was shocked by his laughter and looked at him bewildered.

“Uncle aap has kyu rahe hai?”, Raavi asked innocently.

“Itni kush khabari sunkar hasna toh padega hai na. Shaadi mubarak ho beti! Janardhan said sarcastically.

“Par uncle! Dev aur Rishita ek dusre se pyar karte hai”, Raavi tried to explain to Janardhan.

“Iska matlab ye thodi nah hai ki woh dono ek dusre se shaadi bi kar sakte?”, Janardhan asked with a smirk.

Raavi was shocked by Janardhan’s question and she realised that he is against the love between Dev and Rishita.

“Iska Matlab aap Dev aur Rishita ke...”

“Pyar ke khilaf hu”, Janardhan completed Raavi’s sentence with an evil smile and told her how he manipulated the situation by asking Dev to be his ghar jamaai when the latter had come to ask for Rishita’s hand and how he created the rift between Dev and Rishita so easily by badmouthing about Pandya Parivaar and provoking Dev. He also told Raavi that he kept Rishita under house arrest as she had come to know about his evil plans and tried to elope from the house. He expressed his happiness and strong belief that once the wedding of Dev and Raavi takes place, Rishita will stop pursuing her love for Dev and he wants the marriage between Dev and Raavi to happen at the earliest at any cost. He sarcastically expressed his gratitude to the Pandya Parivaar for indirectly helping him (by planning Dev and Raavi wedding) to make Rishita get rid off Dev.

Raavi was shocked by this revelation and she understood that Dev had decided to sacrifice his love for the sake of his family and agreed to marry Raavi. She felt very bad for Dev and tears gathered in her eyes when she recalled the harsh words that she had said to Dev the other night. Raavi decided to tell all these things to Gaumbi and to seek his help to unite Dev and Rishita.

But little did she know what was about to happen.

Hey I read the past two chapters together ..I like the strength of Raavi ..and okay you gave a cliffhanger to us but the story is progressing beautifully and at times painfully as it seems Shiva is being too stubborn 😭 Waiting for the next update
