I think the nature of the character is such that it is quite possible. He has been erratic & impulsive like that ever since the show started. Ever since he got obsessed with Mehak, one episode he is soft, the next one he is aggressive. He is unstable and doesn’t think twice before acting. He lives in the moment, kind of overly driven by emotions in the instant. His inconsistency of nature and actions is the very consistency of the character, or so I think.

He might say that he wants to let her go, but saying and doing are different. I don’t think he can bring himself to do that. Every opportunity he gets to keep her with him, he will take it. I don’t know how they plan to execute it; but, it is best if he is suddenly not redeemed completely. Mehak should continue to give him the cold shoulder. There should be a gradual transformation, but not to the point of unbelievable. I don’t have any high expectations, but let’s see.

They are making Shamsher say stuff like Babasaab ne Shamsher ki zindagi barbaad kardi aur Shamsher ne Mehak ki.. Shamsher so far thinks only the stuff he has done after the death track is problematic.. they haven't made him address the fact that the stuff he did before that was also equally problematic.. this is the problem!

One obvious disconnect is..

I remember Mehak clearly crying and telling her father and Chachu the night her father discovered she is alive.. that.. she will go file a complaint against this family and the father too was like who are these people (referring to shamhser and his fam) .. even Akram was like this was not a mere accident it was a well thought out plan to get Mehak killed. In the whole scene, the take away from their dialogues was that they believed it was Shamsher's fam who was behind the crime against her. They didn't pin point Dilawar, but still its understood its him.

Cut to present .. Mehak discovering this as her life's biggest secret doesn't make sense..
