If yes, it is yet to air according to us. Cuz the look isn't really the same as the look of him in the episode in which he finds her. Its only similar.

The face touching scene.. damn this one has everyone pissed. 😆 But still i feel its gonna air in the next episode. Shamsher will return from Baba saab's room. Either he or Atiqa will arrange for Mehak's dinner. There will be some convo between Shamsher and Mehak. This face touching scene takes place. Mehak probably gets awkward and gets up and goes and sits on the sofa. Delusional Shamsher thinks she got shy. 😆 Lets see this is the prediction for now. Baaki, editors koi bhand na maarde. 😆

I think its gonna be the build up scene to her going and sleeping on the couch.

Now what I find funny is how Mehak went to the couch when Shamsher was still awake and voh subah uthke abhi bhi confused hai ki haye meri biwi mere paas kyu nahi hai 🤣

So these are my thoughts over all. Some related to what you guys spoke about, some just just otherwise in general.

Part 1

Il start with Radain Shah

Radain Shah, he wrote a show like Aakhir Kab tak which dealt with a very sensitive issue, and even handled the storyline and characters well according to poular opinion. The show might not have ranked high on views or trps (still trp wise, it was quite decent for a hum show i believe) but it was talked about among the critics and the audience which likes serious dramas. He was appreciated for handling the subject well, which a lot of writers tend to lack. Radain also has a body of work to back up that he deals with intellectual storylines. Now with KTK, we dont know how the process of his involvement in the project started. Did Seja go to him and ask him to write about the not so poular real life incident that he had come across. Seja might have told him to weave a story on this and to keep the genre as a masala watch. The aim would be to have their own Deewangi, Khaani, ishq Hai type of blockbuster project which the other production houses boast about. The other thing could be, that Radain himself wrote this story based on the incident. I remember him saying in his interview that he likes to write and talk about incidents that take place in real life or something he has heard of or something that he has witnessed and likes to give his own spin on it. Same thing happened with Akhir kab tak too. It was something that he had heard about and then decided to write about it. Coming to his work in KTK, he has obviously not written to the level of what he could have weaved the story as. I feel this script needed two more drafts before it was okayed. He seems to have followed the route of what would make the story line more entertaining rather than what would be logical. The premise and the charcters are believeable. There is nothing new or nothing about this which is unheard of. Its all your usual tropes and cliches. As a project there is nothing new that it offers, be it the story or the characters. He has concentrated more on 'kya likhne se zyada mazedaar lagega' over everything. And that also makes it deviate from what the characters would originally do based on who they really are. The dialogues are entertaining and catchy. But then again, some are inserted forcefully to make mehak or Akram bechaari/bechara ultra pro max. Sansani ke chakkar mein. I feel he has kept everything pretty one dimensional. Not much food for thought. Its all just unfolding. Its kinda straight forward in a way and doesn't have depth or nuance. One plus point he has is that he hasn't dragged anything but rather the pace is going very fast and strong. For a show which has only one episode every week, i must say it feels like 15 episodes kab aur kaise khatam hogaye, pata hi nai chala. And quite a lot has happened. So many bangs, one after the other. Radain should have worked more on the disconnects and inconsistencies. Radain also needs to work on how to take an xyz story and make it more easy flowing in the set up that he will now spin the story in. If he is getting bashed for that, rightly so. But on the other hand, he hasn't glorified Shamsher anywhere in his writing. Has always had the surrounding characters and Shamsher's character himself keep repeating that he is bad and there is nothing good about him. Shamsher and Shahmeer call him a villain. You have Akram, Naahid, Ahsan and chacha call him a darinda or an equivalent. Mehak and fam are always running away from him and kya nai sunaya hai mehak ne ab tak usko ki she doesn't like him, she hates him, she is scared of him etc etc. Babasaab was also like im sure they are not interested in our ladka but he is another delusional and thinks they are after his wealth lol, farwa is like what did you even see in Shamsher to sophia, and that he has nothing other than the nawaabzada tag. I could elaborate a lot, but the overall feeling is that Radain has not done anything good or rewarded the Character of Shamsher, neither has he glorified him. If anything Shamsher in the story is the most hated character by everyone, everyone thinks of him as a headache 😆 So i dont agree when people are bashing Radain for something he hasn't done. Lets see how he handles the redemption track and to what extent will shamsher redeem himself. Will he show a love story between them or not? And again, till what extent, there are so many possibilities regarding that.. Lets see what ending he gives the characters individually and as a pair. Its too soon to bash him for the handling of all these future tracks.

Having said all this, even if its first time that Radain is writing a masala script, i fail to understand why the charcter inconsistencies, the storyline disconnects? He is an intellectual writer so shouldn't his focus first be logic over everything. There are quite a lot questions i would like to see him answer in an interview but i think he would avoid it especially for this project.

On the face of it, the two main messages that i see Radain giving so far probably is 1) How the rich, powerful and influential can ruin the lives of the common man when there is corruption and lawlessness and in such a situation things only get bad to worse 2) Forcefully getting someone and its repercussions, Battle of egos, how karma comes back to bite one, all these things will be the second half of the story

The one thing I feel is Radain probably wrote a very good version, more believable etc...but when the PH picked it, they told him to add a bit more masala to make it massy. This does happen very often. Because of which I am guessing a lot of the loopholes came into the picture...since he after Mehak's accident is just trying to move the story to connect it, not bothering if it makes sense.

That masala tadka has made both families to be shown in extremes. Akram is an absolute bechara whereas Baba Sahab is a nihaiti kameena.

Agree that the pace is what worked for the show in the first place. If it were any slower, no one would watch it. Coz KTK is a typical no-brainer entertainer, there's no way one can drag one scene on and on and on.

The one thing that pseudos don't seem to understand that Shamsher hasn't even been called a hero. He's been a villain since Day 1. Everyone refers to him being bad. There's no redemption happening right now. Which really makes me wonder how are they gonna wrap up the story in 10 more episodes. Doesn't make any more sense to me...unless the episode count is higher.

Many times when the material reaches the edit table, the numbers fluctuate. Rehana Aftab had told Hassan that she had written many scenes for Ishq Hai with got cut. So imagine, with Ishq Hai being 36 episodes, KTK's episode numbers must have fluctuated based on the stuff they shot and how they arranged it. For example, I think the wedding night stuff they are gonna show tonight was supposed to be in last week's episode itself. But because the dialogues etc drag on (coz written on paper is different than filming it), the scenes moved ahead. Its common practice.

Radain should have either had an assistant that would help with the masala bits or not written the show with so many inconsistencies. But like u said, he aint getting interviewed for this show ever lol.

Bhatti Bhai 😆

I have heard people talk about two of his projects. 1) thora sa haq which was roasted a lot but was obviously huge 2) Ghissi pitti mohabbat, this was loved by everyone and his work was appreciated thoroughly cuz apparently his direction in this was mazedaar. Critics and masses both were on the same page for this. Commercially too it did very well and had people talking. There were multiple tracks happening and he apparently justified each one of them.

So i had his latest work in mind and the popular opinion was he redeemed himself with GPM. Lol

Now coming to his work in KTK, there were disconnects in the first 9 episodes too. But not very glaringly obvious which started to get more prominent after the Mehak mari nahi zinda hai episode. Bhatti should have taken care of the environment of these characters to begin with. Mehak's house is so lavishly furnished lol. They could have shown Akram as a government school teacher and not a professor of a university to dilute him more and make him appear more bechara. Small stuff like that. Background of all these characters basically. Coincidences got too out of hand in which it all played out. Shamsher finding out Mehak's whereabouts cuz of her chachi doing the catering business and him matching her handwriting, Sheru finding mehak in multan, shamsher coming face to face with mehak in multan all these coincidences are too much.. things should have led to them better. And the execution of these incidents by bhatti were not convincing. Leaving behind big stuff like how Mehak escaped, like seriously? What on earth was he thinking here. Stuff like a lot of basic details in scenes with regards to continuity and all. The whole ahsan getting into dilawar mansion and shooting shamsher was so choppy. Had no sense how someone like him would get into a house like that.

In so many scenes, while you are watching you are like this character could have just done this but then you answer back yourself that if that didn't happen then how would the story move forward. That should not be how it plays out in the audience's mind.. rather it should be so free flowing the story line that these thoughts dont even come up in the first place. This is again where bhatti lacks. I dont care if a character is too bechara or too evil, but make his circumstances or environment believeable.

On the other bhatti executed a lot of stuff really well. Be it the university mein pitai sequence, when Shamsher learns of mehak getting married and the wasy he storms and comes there and ahsan ko ghaseet kar baahar laata hai, the accident sequence the way it was shot, the opening racing sequence of Shamhser.. all of it is so well done. Very larger than life for pak drama level. He has the nuances established between the two older couples too.

Basically he is half good and half bad lol

Now coming to Seja Bhai 😆

Production value is fine. I think he has given bhatti the liberty to do whatever he thinks fit. And has allotted accordingly. Woh nazar aata hai, with all the different locations and events that take place in the show.

But at the end of the day it looks like he is just interested in the numbers as far as this drama is concerned .. trps and views. And ofcourse popularity. His intention behind this project just seems that. He wanted a blockbuster popular drama for his PH.. the category of a deewangi or a khaani or a Ishq Hai. And he got it. He saw that potential in this story and if it was to be led by someone who is Popular and HOT actor established actor like Danish, he knew exactly he already had a hit. And put somone beautiful like Dur e opposite him. Get an ensemble cast with Naumaan, atiqa, shahood and laila.. it doesn't get better than that in my opinion for this type of setting. And Whether good or bad, put a rahat fateh ali khan song.. lol job done.

If you see the views of KTK and MH from the time KTK went on air, except for like 3 or 4 episodes.. ktk's views have been crossing MH's views week after week. Even TRP wise. Now why i am comparing it to MH, is cuz these two are the current mega drama serials. So Seja as a producer has this also to boast about now. In TRPs three fourth of the time it has topped the entire week across all slots and all channels. What else would seja want.

Having said all that, i dont think he is ready for big projects in terms of execution especially when it includes big names like naumaan, danish .. cuz for that he needs his team to concentrate on other actual important stuff like story writing and direction. If it didn't have Danish as Shamsher, this project would fall flat and would not be the numbers it is making in views or trps even if it is a masala genre. Cuz of Danish's star power and his brand and audience's primary interest in him, other drawbacks are being over looked to a large extent. Seja, Bhatti and Radain should be thankful to Danish lol.

For both Seja and Bhatti, imo the only reason they got away with so many cliches and crap like that is Danny.

Danish is a larger than life personality, he makes u look at him even if he isn't the focal point.

This works as a major factor in all the scenes. Even Shamsher's crazy bits, anywhere where we should have been scared or shocked, we'd end up laughing. Hell my mother is Team Shamsher now 😆🤣

I doubt iDream has had a chart topping show recently? Last was Thora Sa Haq, which clashed with Deewangi and initially it was tough competition...but then Deewangi took over with double digit figures. And since then idk if they've had a major show.

Hence it makes sense they got Danny on board.

Part 3

Coming to the cast

Naumaan just does his stuff effortlessly. But from the story development pov we are yet to see his performance hit a high. I guess it should happen when it will be Him vs Shamsher.

Atiqa is not a good actor per se. She is always known for her superficial acting. There are so many expressions of her that you can copy paste to humsafar's which was a decade back. Acting tab bhi wohi thi, aaj bhi wohi hai, chahe woh achi saas ho ya buri saas. 😆Yet i over look it all. Cuz at the end of the day im just so happy that Atiqa and Naumaan are essaying the role of Danish's parents. I wouldn't replace them for anyone. Just so happy about this casting. Visually also they make such a good family.

Shahood and Laila. These two are adorable. They have their moments when they shine. There have been times when both have got very annoying while performing though. A lot has got to do with Radain not writing akram properly and making nahid say and act unexpected in some scenes.

Rehan and Andaleeb. They do their job well. Even the other chacha chachi. Usual.

Nida and Ahsan. Whatever their characters are, they both have performed well in every scene.

Farwa's acting was really bad in some scenes. In some she is okay. Sophia is just bad casting opposite hottie Danish. 😆

Dara comes and does his job. No complaints.

Sheru, was good for the most part so far but the previous week he was underwhelming.

Now coming to Dur e. Other than the fact that i think visually her and Danish look great and im looking forward to their romance if any and cuz im fond of her offscreen, i would think somone else should have been here. Bad pronunciation, especially in the starting episodes, continuity ke masle in looks.. like from one angle her hair is open and right from the other angle her hair is tied, all in one scene.. all these things distract me. Then just some bad crying and being expressionless in intense scenes. Nope, not working for me. Its disappointing cuz one cant enjoy the scene as a whole. This makes me as an audience watch and enjoy from Shamsher's perspective, cuz danish's expression are bang on and intense. But dur e just falls flat in most of the scenes in the show and im not enjoying the scenes from mehak's perspective and not feeling the stuff i should instantly feel cuz of her poor acting. Not comparing Danish and dur e. One is established and the other is a new comer. But what i would expect the very least is that she doesn't kill the scene itself. Acting not being upto the mark is tolerable but bad acting is not. Instead of concentrating on what is happening in the scene with Mehak, its dur e's bad performance that stays in your mind. Thats quite unfortunate! Dur e doesn't need to relate to a character to perform. Thats not how it should work. Mehak's character is a very basic damsel in distress character. I fail to understand why her acting is bad here. This character doesnt even require one to be a director's actor only to be able to perform. hammad and laiba are also her age, and hammad is also a new comer like her. But there is no lapse in their performances. We know Dur e was offered MH and she chose this drama over that. I wonder what she would have done to Hala, is se mehak hi sambhala nai jara. Lol Hania has done brilliantly and if you watch her interview you will know she has brought a lot nuance in her acting to the character. Otherwise it would have been a very regular Cinderella character. I feel the first biggest reason for MH success other than Farhan and Hania's chemistry is cuz of Hania as Hala. Just like how we say Danish as Shamsher is the prime reason for the show's success..so yes, it was a big lol moment for me when i saw Aamna praising Dur e for rejecting Hala and Bashing Hania for taking it up. What a joke. 1) How is mehak better than Hala? Hala has a proper back story, more nuances than Mehak 2) Dur e wouldn't even be able to do half of what what hania has done with hala, she is not able to handle mehak only 3) hala cries 24*7 cuz of the zulm, now imagine Dur e crying in the entire show.. we cant tolerate her do here even for a few seconds, I dont know what Aamna was smoking when she said all this 😆
