Yeah that's why "that" scene doesn't make sense. Murtasim has been a very positive character except that particular scene.

As Yumna is saying he is the only non-grey character and isn't toxic.

And Meerab is definitely going to irritate him alot. 🤣🤣

She took some time to sink in meerubs character

On the other hand wahaj was murtasim since epi 1 like a boss..but I m glad yumna caught on grip of the character asap

Everyone is going Ga Ga over the dargah scene but

I really liked their confrontation afterwards where he goes to ask her why she said yes to the wedding and meerub very truthfully answers him

Both yumna and wahaj owned that scene and I really liked the dialogues of meerub there which literally makes murtasim dumbstruck

In the promos there was a dialogue where murtasim says karte Hain Shaadi ....dekhte Hain kitne din chalti Hain

But thankfully in the actual the editor has edited it out which was a very intelligent move

Murtasim just leaves saying DONT CRY to meerub which gave the scene a beautiful closure rather him retorting back to her with the above promo dialogue

Same.

And the way he comes round in front of her to see her expression when she gives the answer... it was a beautiful scene- well enacted.

I think this is exactly what Hasan and Amna have been saying in Something Haute reviews, ki it’s possible that Murtasim is actually a good man, and that the producers are better off going back and re-editing the slap scene and remove it.

This is my problem too from the beginning -

I wish they had reshot that scene to show Murtasim slapping her to get her out of her state of mind, that slap as a response to her pushing him just does NOT make sense, in fact it’s done in poor light if the producers or channel thought they will get more eyeballs for the show if they have a slap. Matlab every time a show for trps will use abuse like this, that is pathetic.

My love her Wajad is overtaking my anger for that slap

I don't think I have seen any other actor who is this much famous and talented and still down to earth

She is really sweet 😀

I don't like when people comment on her age esp that useless review of Atiqs odho

Yumna is very very classy in her interviews. I remember during Ishq e laa, she had done a live chat with the hero and he was talking about how Yumna wouldn’t talk to him during shooting because she wanted to maintain that distance for the sake of her character. And Yumna was so embarrassed and yet very politely and sweetly justified herself. I really felt what a classy woman, want to grown up to be like her.

I don’t care what they say about age, because her work really speaks for her, this is the same with many actresses - Sajal Ali is also like that, media and Twitterati are constantly judging but she is one person who lets her work speak for her. We desperately need more stars and actors like this. We have to somehow counter terrible comments with dignity - it may seem old fashioned, but I feel it goes a long way
