CHAPTER 35

deepa, ajay & kailash found sandhya sitting by a thorn bush. she seemed to have bled a lot. some thorns were stuck to her ankle & she was wincing in pain. kailash waited for ajay to help sandhya out but when he just stood by doing nothing. kailash stepped in to help sandhya. deepa had rushed off to get some tissues & by the time she returned kailash was bent over sandhya's ankle & was carefully removing the thorns. deepa felt really sorry for sandhya as the wound looked really painful. "are you okay sandhaya?" deepa enquired concern in her eyes. "yes I am. but I'm afraid I can't walk. can someone please carry me?" she looked pointedly at kailash. deepa didn't see anything wrong in that & asked kailash to help her though he himself was reluctant. ajay just watched the spectacle silently. "this might just work out for me." he felt a little ray of hope light up in his heart. despite the serious situations, ajay found himself grinning widely. deepa noticed it but she was far more worried about sandhya so she ignored it.

kailash wished it was deepa he was carrying instead of sandhya. sure, sandhya was injured but why couldn't deepa ask ajay to carry sandhya instead of him? kailash felt a little annoyed at deepa but saw that she was just concerned for sandhya, so he helped sandhya. glancing frequently at deepa who was walking beside him, kailash made his way out of the garden. sandhya was snuggling up to him now, putting her arms around his neck & her face was dangerously close to his. when kailash finally put her down on the picnic mat, she was clinging onto him like a leech. "err.. sandhya? you can let go of me now." he said coldly & removed her iron grip around his neck. deepa swore sandhya looked frustrated that kailash had put her down. but she thought of the conversation she had with sandhya in the washroom & brushed off all wrong thoughts off her mind.

after 20 minutes though, deepa had entirely changed her mind about sandhya. she was making a move on kailash right in front of her. sandhya had spent a quarter of a hour ordering kailash to bring her food & drinks. she even made kailash feed her. deepa got more & more annoyed at sandhya that when she requested deepa to pass her a tissue, deepa threw the tissue box onto the picnic mat & stormed off.

"deepa? what's wrong?" kailash asked coming after her. "what's wrong? sandhya has been flirting with you & you are still so unreactive?!!!" deepa yelled at him. that's when kailash lost it. "hey YOU were the one who told me to help her remember? then now you're complaining yourself that she is flirting with me??" kailash shouted at deepa angrily. "I thought she had changed but no! she still wants to snatch you away from me! if you knew she was flirting, then why didn't you just move away?" deepa was still annoyed at kailash. "you know what? you're insecure deepa and you just don't know what you want. you know what? I will help sandhya & I am even going to drop her home. I am sick & tired of your mood swings." kailash stormed off to join sandhya. a single tear rolled down deepa's cheeks as she watched kailash's retreating back.

i wanted to show deepa's character as a real woman. not all those perfect female serial leads in serial who have no temper. deepa's character should have mood swings & at least small little tanturms like us girls so that's why i made her a little unreasonable in this chapter.😉

Me first again! Good chapter Leena. You are right, showing Deepa this way shows that she is just like one of us. I like it. Hope more of these clashes between Deepa and Kailash isin store for us 😉

Yup, Jiggly. Deepa's character is more close to reality than anything else. Oh sure, we all do and say things like that all the time - say something at one time and then feel sorry for it next, 'cos of insecurity and possessiveness. (oops, that's a lot of 's') 😃

here is my latest installment.

CHAPTER 36

deepa stood by the bridge crying softly when ajay came over. "deepa? are you alright? why are you crying? did you & kailash have a fight?" he asked her gently. she didn't reply but continued crying. "hush.. hush deepa. please don't cry!" ajay turned her around to face him. deepa couldn't take it anymore & burst into tears. she rested her head against his shoulder while tears streamed freely down her face. kailash on the other hand was watching all these from the picnic mat. "was I too harsh with her? she is crying so much!" he asked himself sadly. deepa looked heartbroken as she cried silently. her shoulders heaved slightly & she was clutching the railing tightly. kailash got up to apologise but ajay beat him to it. so kailash helplessly watched as ajay walked over to deepa & comforted her. when deepa burst into tears, kailash thought his heart would explode as well. he didn't know that his words could break deepa's heart like that. he saw deepa rest her head against ajay's shoulder & his heart ached even more.

"guys, deepa is not feeling well. I think we better leave. unless you guys want to stay?" ajay questioned, coming over with deepa to the picnic mat. deepa's eyes were downcast & she didn't smile or say anything. kailash stared at her, willing her to look at him but deepa didn't. "we thought of staying a little longer, let's stay kailash!" sandhya chimed in happily. she knew all about the quarrel between kailash & deepa and was happy that the misunderstanding had occurred. "no sandhya. let's leave. I don't want to stay here any longer." kailash snapped at her. sandhya looked taken aback but she agreed as she didn't want to anger kailash. deepa walked over to the car without another word. kailash carried sandhya & put her in the backseat. he then proceeded to help ajay with the packing of the picnic things. "deepa, could you help us please?" ajay called her over. deepa came over & started to help ajay. kailash stared her the whole time but deepa silently pakced the things. even when ajay left the both of them alone while he kept the cooler in the car, deepa didn't speak to kailash.

ajay wanted to take deepa & the rest for dinner but deepa refused. she said that she had no mood to eat anything. "deepa? can I walk you up to your house?" ajay volunteered. deepa nodded & walked away with ajay while kailash was left with sandhya. he helped her up to her flat & was leaving when someone stopped the lift. "wait for me!" a familiar voice said as deepa rushed into the lift. kailash held the lift for her. "thanks a lot sir! I was…." deepa stopped short as she saw it was kailash who was in the lift. she turned to leave but the lift doors had already closed. deepa moved away from kailash, her face turned away from him. kailash felt that it was the right time to make up with deepa. he inched closer to her & she shrunk away. "deepa.. I'm sorry for what I said earlier on. I didn't want to hurt you. I'm sorry." he whispered to her. deepa didn't say anything. her eyes filled up with tears & her lower lip was trembling. as the lift reached the fourth floor, it jerked to a sudden stop and the lights went off, leaving deepa & kailash in utter darkness.

i actually wanted to make ajay & deepa get closer but then i felt that we should have more deepa & kailash encounters, thus this chapter was edited.😃 comments & suggestions are welcome! love you all!
