No, Netra, the election is tomorrow. 'However, the turnout is expected to be unprecedented this year, with Barack Obama getting a whole new bunch of people interested in the election - college students, African-Americans, retirees, and the fact that in the last election, many people left at the last minute after waiting for over five hours in line, prompted some changes. 'We had early voting dates in more counties and for a longer period of time. 'Our votes will only be counted on Tuesday, but it meant that we were able to avoid long lines at the booths. 'Even with this, some of our friends who voted on Saturday waited for almost 5 hours in line. 'My husband voted on the second or third day of early voting and he just walked in and out of the booth. 'Luckily for me, I used the handicapped status to do curbside voting last Wednesday, and it took me only about 20 minutes of sitting in the car. 'Someone brought the ballot out to me and my dad, and we cast our votes from the car. 'Of course, this meant that we could not do the electronic voting, but we got to vote without standing in line. 'We do know some procrastinators who will conly be voting tomorrow. 'I hope that they do not get turned off by the long lines.

Wow....eljay...good job buddy. Yes you did a good thing and made us all proud of you dear. As Jagdu mentioned above.
I support Obama too....hope he wins.

Ayyo atinamma,
engla bayamurthadeenga.
Do I have to stand in that line? Waiting for it to be 4.
A lawyer in our office said all you have to do is fill that ballot, put it in the envelope sent with it, and present it to the election officer as an absentee ballot. Let's hope that works.

Wow...such a long line...😲
Like Eljay wrote, those who knows they wont get good time to vote on the election day should vote before it.
I really hope Obama wins but whoever wins have a big challenge infront him. Need to fix economy, health system. taxes etc

I didn't really like McCain's campaign throughout and am not a republican either. But have to admit, he made a great conceding speech tonight. Very gracious. God bless him!
PS: Gosh.. I'm really going to miss Todd Palin. What a handsome hunk! :-D
Waiting for Barack to make his speech.. in a few minutes..

Eljay..
My waiting time at the polls today - 0 minutes!
Oh yeah! Just got lucky this year...
My li'l one went with us to the polls and she was so happy to be a part it. Last time though, she was still a baby!
It was so amazing to see so many li'l kids there, with their parents today. We take her with us to the polls usually, so when it's time for her to vote (well.. that's going to be a long time anyway) it will be a matter of habit and also to let her know that it's her right! I guess the other parents do it for the same reason as well.
