Thanks for sharing 😊
I read few comments on the first pages (too lazy to go through all 😆) and agree with many. It's nice of Taher to come clean on his stand about stalking though one can argue whether it was needed or not- I see Viraj stalking Nisha but I have never associated this with Taher since both, Viraj and Taher, are not the same and I am sure viewers are smart enough to make the distinction. Also, I remember an interview of his where he makes clear how serious the institution of marriage for him is and that married people shoud stay in their marriage- so, obviously, he has already tried to make a clear distinction between his reel and real personality.
His displeasure (which is also evident by his acting- or am I imagining it?)... well, I guess it has to do with Viraj being his first role. He probably got attached and doesn't like the change. Maybe it's also because he wants to play the "hero" and simply doesn't like to see himself as a villain - and also fears that his fans might see him in a negative light. The latter is a baseless assumption, as many already have mentioned - big names have played really dark characters and still are very much loved by their audiences. Personally, I've always kind of liked darker characters, if they have been portrayed well (in books) - I mean, I can't completely connect to people like OMM as I don't get how their minds work. There are many villains in the TV industry I can't understand at all because them being evil, I simply don't get. But here- Viraj's change was actually subtle (in my opinion) and I could follow it, see how he became grey and slipped into darker shades; it was understandable considering what all had happened to him - and I liked it that there was a reason for him to turn grey/negative. It makes his character so much more complex and interesting.
Given that, there can be an awesome redemption track, actually. Two shows would come to my mind where I have seen really amazing redemption tracks for characters who had slipped off into darker/wrong paths and after their proper redemption, I loved them even more. Same can happen to Viraj- he can be given a really good redemption track, that would be actually amazing - and would give his character even more authenticity.
By the way, has Taher been bashed or Viraj? I know that people have shown their displeasure about him favoriting tweets bashing Aneri - so, this had nothing to do with his character on screen. And if he had been bashed because of Viraj's current portrayal... lol, is it even worth to worry about that? Obviously, if people can't distinct between on-screen and off-screen, the problem is with them and not Taher.
