Ok so I have added a few new characters to the story.

Siddharth Kapoor: Anant's new client, owner of SK Kollections.

Raj Mehra: Siddharth Kapoor's personal assistant, Navya's best friend from college, had a crush on Navya in college but was always too scared to tell her

Chapter 3:

January 14, 2014. 9:00 am. A.B. Creations.

Anant and Navya are in the workshop finalizing the presentation for their meeting with Mr. Kapoor. As Navya is working to make the necessary changes to the designs, Anant is watching her intently.

Did you forget me after I moved away Navya? Have you ever remembered me in these 15 years? When I realized that I had to come back to Delhi to do this project, I never imagined that I would meet you like this, as my employee.

Navya glances up from her work and catches Anant staring at her. Anant quickly looks away.

Navya: "Anant, is something wrong?"

Anant: "No Navya. Nothing."

Navya: "Oh ok. I'm done with these designs so I think we can leave now."

Anant: "Yeah, sure. I'll be waiting outside in the car with Sana. Just come out and make sure you bring the presentation file."

"Yes Anant."

January 14, 2014. 10:30 am. Siddharth Kapoor's Office.

Anant, Sana, and Navya reach the client's office. They are greeted by Siddharth Kapoor's personal assistant, Raj Mehra.

"Raj? What are you doing here?"

"Navya! OMG it's been such a long time! Wow, so you're working at A.B. Creations now? Awesome!"

Raj and Navya hug. Anant and Sana look at them confused.

Anant: "Navya, you know this person?"

Raj: "Oh I'm so sorry Anant, I should have introduced myself to you. It's just that when I saw Navya I couldn't control myself. We have been friends since college. Anyways, my name is Raj Mehra. I am Mr. Kapoor's personal assistant. Please come this way, Mr. Kapoor is waiting for you in the conference room."

Raj leads Anant, Navya, and Sana to the conference room. Siddharth greets the A.B. Creations team.

"Ah Anant, welcome. Please have a seat."

"Thank you Mr. Kapoor. I would like to introduce you to my personal assistant Sana and this is my design assistant Navya."

"Pleasure to meet you ladies. Alright Anant, let's get started."

Anant finished the presentation and the lights turned back on.

Mr. Kapoor: "Quite impressive Anant. I must say that these designs you just presented are quite new and fresh. I have a few modifications that I'd like to suggest but other than that I'd say that we have a deal.

Anant: "Thanks Mr. Kapoor. I'm glad that you liked the presentation."

Mr.Kapoor: "So Anant, let's get the paperwork done in the next few days. But tonight I'm throwing a party to celebrate this new partnership. I request you to come. Sana and Navya, you both are also invited."

Anant: "Thanks Mr. Kapoor. We will all be there tonight."

Mr.Kapoor: "Ok. Raj will give you the invitations and address. I'll see you tonight then! Bye."

Anant, Sana, and Navya leave the Kapoor office when Navya realizes that she has left her bag in the conference room. She goes back into the building to get it when she crashes into Raj who is coming out of the building to give Navya's bag.

"Oww! Sorry Navya. I saw that you left your bag in the room so I was just coming to give it to you."

Navya: "It's ok Raj. I should have looked where I was going. Thank you for returning my bag. Bye."

Raj: "Navya, wait! Umm...are you coming to the party tonight?"
Navya: "Yeah, I just have to ask mumma and papa but I think that they will let me come."

Raj: "Oh ok, good. So I'll see you there then."

Navya: "Yeah Raj, I'll see you there."

January 14, 2014. 5:30 pm. Mishra House.

Navya has reached home after the meeting. She is sitting in the living room. Meeta has just brought her some tea.

Meeta: "How was your meeting Navya?"

Navya: "It went well mummy. The client really liked the designs and wants to sign the contract in the next few days."

Meeta: "That's very good beta! I'm so happy that you are doing well."

Navya: "Thanks mumma. Oh and guess who I met at the meeting? Raj!"

Meeta: "Raj Mehra? What was he doing there?"

Navya: "He works as a PA for our client. It's such a small world na?

Meeta: "Yeah Navya. Well invite him for dinner some time. He used to come home every night while you and him were in college and it was almost like he was a part of our family. It will be nice to see him after such a long time again."

Navya: "Ok. I will ask him. Vaise mumma, aaj shaam ko client ne party organize kari hai? Can I go?"

Meeta: "Party? I don't know Navya, you will have to ask your papa."

Navya: "Mumma, Raj will be there and so will my boss. I promise I'll be home early. Please let me go."

Meeta: "Acha thik hai, I will tell your papa later. But promise that you will be home early?"

Navya: "Aaah thank you so much mummy!!! You're the best! And yes I will come home early! I'm going to go get ready ok? And I also have to ask Ranbir bhaiyya if he can drop me there?"

Meeta: "Ok Navya. Go get ready quickly."

Navya comes to her room and picks up her phone to call Ranbir. Just then her phone rings. It's Anant's call.

Navya: "Hi Anant. Did you have some work?"

Anant: "No Navya, I just wanted to know if you were coming to the party tonight."

Navya: "Oh ok. Yes I'm coming."

Anant: "Good. It's important for you to come so you can network and build a good working relationship with Mr. Kapoor."

Navya: "Yes Anant. Ok I'll see you at the party then. I have to go get ready now."

Anant: "Yeah Navya. I'll see you there. Oh by the way, do you need a ride to get to the venue?"

Navya: "Ummm it's ok. I can have my brother drop me there."
Anant: "I can pick you up if it's ok with you. I live very close to you anyway."

Navya: "What? You live close to my house?"

Anant: "Ummm no, I said I am at the office now which is close to your house. I can pick you up, it's no problem at all."

Navya: "Oh ok. Guess I misheard you. Thanks so much."
Anant: "Not a problem at all. I'll be there by 6:30 ok?"

Navya: "Yeah sure Anant. I'll see you then. Thanks once again."

Navya is dressed in a pretty sea blue anarkali.

She is about to tie her hair into a braid when she remembers something.

***Flashback***

"Navya, why do you always tie your hair in a braid?"

"Kyun tujhe pasand nahi hai?

"No, I like your hair better when its loose."

"Really Anant?"

"Yeah, promise ki tum mere birthday party mein apne baal khule chodo gi?"

"Ok, I promise."

***Flashback end***

You never gave me a chance to fulfill my promise Anant. You and your entire family just left before your birthday party without giving any explanations. I used to wait outside your house for hours every day to see if you would come back...but you never did. I think mumma and papa knew where you had gone but they would always change the topic when I tried to ask them. And then life just kept moving forward and I also moved on. But I never forgot you Anant. Har saal tumhare birthday ke din mein apne baal khule chod ti thi. I used to hope that you would come back to celebrate your birthday with me if I left my hair down. But it never happened.

It was such a surprise to meet dadi that day in the taxi though. When me and mumma visited dadi yesterday she told us that your family had moved to Delhi 15 years ago. She was going to say something about your parents but then she stopped. I tried to ask dadi about you but then mummy said that we had to go home. Are you in Delhi right now Anant?

Navya's thoughts were interrupted when her phone beeped to indicate that she had just received a message from Anant.

--I'll be at your house in a few minutes Navya."

Instead of tying her hair in a braid Navya decides to leave it loose. She goes downstairs to wait for Anant in the living room. When she sees his car pull up to the gate, she says bye to her mom and leaves the house.

Chapter 4:

Anant sees Navya coming out of her house and towards his car. He is mesmerized by her. He is still staring at Navya when she comes and sits in the car. Navya blushes because Anant is looking at her so intently.

Navya: "Kya hua Anant? Should I have worn something different? Do I look bad?"

Anant: "No...in fact you look just like an angel with your hair down like that. You look stunning Navya."

Navya feels awkward to hear her boss compliment her so much so she decides to change the topic.

"Can I turn on the radio Anant?"

Anant: "The radio? Uhhh yeah sure."

Navya turns on the radio as Anant starts to drive.

Both Navya and Anant feel uncomfortable so Anant turns off the radio and they drive to the party in silence.😛 When Anant and Navya reach the party they are greeted by Siddharth and Raj.

Anant goes with Siddharth to meet some new clients while Raj goes to greet some other guests. Meanwhile Navya is left alone so she decides to find a place to sit. She finds Sana sitting at table near the dance floor so Navya joins her. They are sitting together and just watching everyone dance when Raj comes and pulls Navya onto the dance floor. As they are dancing, the DJ puts on a romantic number and Navya is about to leave but Raj pulls her close to him. Raj has Navya is his arms and they are gently swaying to the music...

Tum ho paas mere

saath mere ho tum yun

jitna mehsoos karoon tumko

utna hi paa bhi loon

Tum ho mere liye

mere liye ho tum yun

khud ko main haar gaya tum ko

tukmko main jeeta hoon...

In the meantime, Anant has finished talking to the clients and is looking for Navya and Sana when he sees Raj and Navya dancing together on the dance floor.
