Aamir Ali likes to stay away from controversies, but this one seems to be dragging on for a while now.

First, Aamir, along with girlfriend Sanjeeda, stopped hosting Nach Baliye 4. Then there were rumours that they were shown the door.... and if that wasn't enough there were reports that Aamir asked Salman Khan to intervene on his behalf. Here's what Aamir had to say...

According to reports, you asked Salman to intervene when you had trouble with the makers of Nach Baliye...
I think it's just convenient to drag Salman's name in any controversy. In fact, I met him recently and he had no clue about the controversy. Why drag Salman into this? These reports are so contradictory. On the one hand they are saying that Sanjeeda and I were shown the door and on the other they say that we didn't show up. I think they should make up their minds. They made various allegations like we took too much time to shoot... but how can that be true? This show is about performances from the jodis, not about the hosts!

Has it soured your feelings towards Nach Baliye?
Not really. There are a few people who are trying to create trouble. Winning Nach Baliye was like winning the world cup for me. And more than anything, it's special because it brought Sanjeeda and me much closer.

What's happening on the acting front?
There are some offers... one of the scripts even has us together. Ideally I want to take a break now and visit a very good friend in Cape Town. I have been promising him the visit for many years. Hopefully, I can do that in January.

Before she became a hit film director, Farah Khan was a choreographer. In fact, she has laso choreographed the super hit Desi Girl from Dostana and the item songs in SRK's Billu Barber. She tells you how to be a good choreographer

Tip 1: It is important that your personality and uniqueness is reflected in your choreography. Only then will your work will come alive and stand out

Tip 2: Nurture your talent. Believe in yourself and be passionate about your work

Tip 3: Work very hard so that you are indispensable. I put my whole heart and soul into the project with the motive that after working with me, filmmakers won't want to work with someone else.

Tip 4: Don't copy anybody else. Be original and don't be afraid to try out new ideas and concepts. If your work looks like someone else's, no one will take notice of it.

Tip 5: You need to be a good dancer and a good teacher and motivator too. Enjoy what you do; it shouldn't be a chore for you. Don't be afraid of taking chances and trying something new.

Anushka Sharma on NB4's New Year special episode!
Current mood: excited

After last week's drama, the judges and the jodis are ready to forget and move into the new year with a bang. The theme of this episode is 'Happy New Year' so get ready for a whole lot of excitement, dance and celebration! And to encourage the Jodis this new year, NB4 welcomes a special guest- Anushka Sharma, the hottest new actress in Bollywood. Anushka, who finds that NB4 is very much like 'Rab Ne...' is here to watch our jodis and rate them on her 'Rab meter' depending on their love. And she promises that the sweetest jodi, "jisme bhi rab dikhega" will be taught the steps to her famous song 'Dance pe chance'

While Sudeep and Anantika continue rocking, it is Sudeep who walks away with the judges applause for the jodi's performance of Disco 82.
Naman's reflection. While everybody agrees it is one of their best performances on the Nach stage, will it get them the perfect score? Naman and Megha perform an incredibly tough dance where Megha poses as

Kapil and Anjali, one of the strongest jodi of Nach baliye manage to keep the judges amazed by doing a Rajasthani dance. Don't miss the spectacular end of the performance where Anjali balances on Kapil's shoulders.

Yash and Gauri,the newest entrants on NB4 wow the judges with their Shammi Kapoor act. Despite other strong performances, the judges agree that the jodi might just become the hottest if they continue with such strong performances.

Meanwhile, Shaleen and Daljit who continue to give tough competition to the other jodis face a setback due to personal reasons. Shaleen has been in and out of the hospital and hasn't been able to give time to rehearsals. And it shows in his dance.The judges do not want to be too harsh on their favourite jodi and wishes they could give them a 30 once again.

Chetan and Lavinia who have come as a wildcard but have managed to remove all the strong jodis from the competition are accused by the other teams of performing better on Saturday than Friday as part of a strategy.
If that is true, it remains to be seen if Chetan be in the bottom 2 again this Saturday.

And as expected, Anushka finds it very tough to choose between the jodis but tune in to see which are the 2 jodis she will teach to groove to 'dance pe chance'

Anushka Sharma is on 'Nach Baliye 4'!

The cute and vivacious Anushka Sharma, the lead actress in Aditya Chopra's 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' joins the next episode of 'Nach Baliye 4' on Star Plus. She checks out the couples and rates them on their chemistry and love quotient.

Anushka is impressed by all the performances of the jodis. She is also able to relate to the practice required to get it right. Her chemistry with Farah makes her comfortable on the sets and she looks like she belongs on the 'Nach Baliye' platform. She also decides to teach one couple 'Jisme Rab Dikhta Hai', a dance from her movie and rate each couple on her jodi-meter.

This episode will air on Friday at 8 pm on Star Plus.

What to expect on Saturday's episode:

As each episode progresses, the competition is getting intense and the pressure is enormous. 'Nach Ki Jung' is the survival mantra for the 'kamzor jodis' to make it from the danger zone to the 'surakshit zone'. A shocking revelation from the bottom two jodis leaves everyone speechless.

The judges are all taken aback when one of the strongest jodis – Kapil and Anjali – are in the bottom two. It is a shock to the couple themselves as they never expected to be in the danger zone! It is a tense moment for Anjali – she cannot handle the setback and breaks down on the set. Chetan and Lavinia are also announced as the weakest jodi for the third consecutive week. All eyes are on this particular jodi as they are known to deliver their best under pressure.

Everyone waits as the bottom four prepare for the elimination round of the show! It is a 'Nach Baliye 4' episode full of ups and downs on Saturday (Jan. 3) at 8pm on Star Plus.

So, 'wazzup' with Yash Tonk?

Every person has their good days, their bad days and their nothing-special days. Tellywatch.com talks to TV stars just to check in with what's going on with them. For our column 'What's up?', Yash Tonk spoke to us about what's happening with him lately.

My week was…pretty hectic – I have been shooting round the clock.

My weekend will be…since we had a holiday for New Year, we will get back to work this weekend. So I will be shooting for the whole of this weekend.

My favourite television serial…I hardly get the time and am not following any. But I did catch up on a few episodes of 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Bidaai', which are doing well.

If I were to go on a date with a TV star, it would be…my wife and daughter.

The last book that I read was…it has been ages since I read anything. I used to read a lot but don't have the time now.

The kind of music I listen to…I like RD Burman and like listening to Bollywood numbers.

One thing I want to change about myself…Nothing! I am cool and fine.

Last movie I watched…it was yesterday. I watched 'Australia' – it was okay and I didn't like it so much.

In my spare time…I have no spare time and I am looking forward to it. I want to take a holiday and am hoping that it will happen somewhere in the middle of February. Otherwise I like spending time with my family and friends. I carry a portable TV along with me and watch movies.

Last time I went shopping…it has been some time. I shopped some time in November in Dubai. I bought some clothes and glasses.

Last time I yelled at someone…I keep yelling at myself, especially when rehearsing. I often yell at myself like 'Yash…damn it' (laughs).

Last time I cried…I don't cry much. I cry when I really get pissed off. I guess the last time that I cried was when my grandmother passed away.

Gauri Tonk on Nach Baliye

Yash and Gauri Tonk, the finalists of Nach Baliye 2, entered Nach Baliye Season 4 this week. We spoke with Gauri, who told us that she is very pleased with the warm welcome she and her husband received.

"On the first day, we sat with all the choreographers. They were very sweet and we got good comments from the judges. They told us that they wanted to see more dance in our performances. They were very warm. Our fans also called to tell us that they are watching the show only because of us."
"Our co-contestants were aware that we were offered to join the show as wild card entrants. They are very sweet. But competition is competition and since we have accepted this show, now we are ready to face all criticism and stress," Gauri, who is currently busy rehearsing, informed us.

"I enjoy dancing a lot and we never could say no to Nach because it is very close to our hearts. Last time too, when they asked us for a special performance, we did it, even though there was little time to practice. This time too, things are really hectic, though. We rehearse until 5am and only sleep for 3 hours. Yet Yash is very enthusiastic. He keeps asking me, 'Shall we try this move?'"

"We are kind of obsessed with dance and are enjoying it too. We also have to take care that we should not repeat our concepts while performing. We are expecting to win this time."

Gauri also mentioned that though her ex-contestants Hiten and Gauri are there, she misses the others - Hussain-Tina and Tanaaz Bakhtiyaar – and wishes that they were on the show too.
