I fail to understand why Neil is expecting Avni to understand him?
It's like we understand what Neil is going through but then he is not absolutely right either. He's the one who is trying to use his closeness & love to stop Avni but without thinking that he is building hatred in Avni for himself. He is using Avni, and that is exactly what Avni hates. (Handcuff thing is gonna be a repeat, pls Neil knock some sense in tour head. Even if you are trying to protect Avni, you'll lose her in the process.)

I just hope the future track does not have VR manipulating the deal incident in such a way that it shows Neil in a bad light where he chose not to support/trust Avni. Coz if this happens and Avni accepts it, I will not blame her. Neil has dug this grave for himself. (Being AvNeil fan I don't want this, but then a part of me wants something like this to happen. So that we can see this desperate Neil being smarter and not overlooking Avni's emotions and win her back!)
He is hurting but he is hurting Avni beyond repair too.

Like I have even mentioned in many of m posts, I am so not connecting with the leniency shown towards Neil from himself and Neela (and now DD) when it comes to thinking about Avni's emotions.

I am not even talking about him sleeping on floor, eating insipid food, hearing Avni's words of hatred. I am only talking about why in the name of hell do these people think pacifying Avni is like baaye haath ka khel wherein,
A. He gifts her a Christmas present and she will smile widely and dance merrily on Jingle bells
B. She would come running into his arms forgetting whatever he did to her, and whatever she endured, right after getting released from jail.

This can never resonate with me.

Neil is conveniently overlooking Avni's emotions.
He is trying to feel the pain Avni is facing in Priaon but then is that enough?
Because he is not trying to feel the pain of a lover. A person who trusted him with his heart.
Sleeping on floor is not enough. He has to understand that he is showing himself in bad light. He is using his love and making her feel used. Don't do that please Neil you're hurting her beyond repair.

Like I said earlier too, these guys are thinking one dimensionally.
Neil thinks since Avni sleeps on the floor, eats bland food, he will punish himself by doing all the same.

What he doesn't get is the mental trauma of Avni, to have her heart broken by someone she loved, all trust gone, which is a recap of her own traumatised childhood.
And honestly by the looks of it I don't think he can ever understand this aspect of her mental trauma.
His penance is just limited to what she is physically enduring in prison life, that's all.
