I think Bani is willing to kill Veer through treachery was because of Veer's challenge of her declaring her love for him. She is so shaken by it, that she is willing to kill Veer by any means possible. The thing is, Veer never gets mad at her no matter how much she instigates him. And now she is feeling undercurrents of tenderness and attraction to him, she is scared that his love will overpower her hatred for him. She is not able to find any valid reason to kill him, except that she hates him because he was Akesh in Satyuga. She is unwilling to let go of the past, because she really doesn't want to fall in love with him. Naagin 5 is very different from the other seasons because both Bani and Veer are very OTT and passionate characters. They are both animalistic and powerful. There are many hidden mysteries in Veer's family and Cheels themselves that are going to shape the rest of the story. This story is more layered as basically every character except for Bani's human family is powerful in their own right. So nobody is really "innocent" and each character is compelling. This is not a revenge saga, it's more like a war saga and Romeo and Juliet mixed in one. They are ancient enemies and it's more of a case of hating and fighting with one another because of their enmity than righting wrongs. Then you have others' ulterior motives who wants to milk everything from their conflict.
