Many Singers are versatile and can sing any kind of song but some singers are like a specialist in medical field. They can sing only certain kinds of songs. Versatile singers are like sonu nigham, sunidhi chauhan, , Asha Bhonsle,Mohmad Rafiji, Sudesh bhonsle, Kishore kumar. They can and could sing many kinds and styles of songs.

Certain songs are best sung by particular singer. Like kajra re song best sung by alisha and gave justice to that song.

Not very many singers can create deepness and seriousness of mukeshji or hemant kumar or Talat mehmood. We can hardly find great gazal singers like Anoop Zalota or Jagjeet singh ji. I can go on on this subject

hmmmm i dont think so every singer has his or her own certain values n voice quality so every sinegr wont b appropriate for a particular song

ooohhhhhhhhh lala i dont know but i think lata ji is great but i once heard in one of her interviews dat she can never sing songs sung by asha ji so i cant even imagine lata ji singing ashajis songs n bidi jalaile song even if given to lata ji will be an insult to her singing ...my personal feelings

i think even he cant cuz adnan saamiji s nasal passage is clear n he doesnt have any cold attack anyone who has cold n cough attack can sing reshamiya songs.... he truely needs nasal drops .......

yes he will sing d don song but d only difference will be khushiyaan bhi niklengi raaste badal badal ke like if we r happy to hear his song d happiness will come out of our eyes tho i am a big fan of jaggu ji but imagining him in such a song makes me smile infact made me laugh 😆

lataji is a legendary singer, so i don't think anyone can replace her. i think that in music there should be no comparismbecause everyone has ups and downs.

No.. in most cases. Very rarely do we have a versatile singer who can carry of any kind of song. In the current lot of singers, I would think its Sonu, and Shaan to certain extent..and amongst older singers...its definitely Kishore Kumar. Otherwise most of them are good in their own genre..

No..she may sing it technically right, but her style is such that it can't carry "oomph" factor..it definitely cannot be sexy number...it would turn out to be more a romantic run-around-the-tree kind of number...

I don't want to offend anybody..but I am sorry I am not a big fan of either singers. Keeping that in mind, I would think that Reshammiyya will add more nasal overtones to songs... any song for that matter..

An excellent singer in his own genre..and he will definitely sing this fun peppy number like a ghazal and make it all sound like a more philosophical sounding one questioning ones' roots rather than the peppy number that it is..I can picturise him doing that, sitting down with a harmonium...and I can almost hear him sing like a ghazal!


Lovely questions di, and some of the scenarios were particularly hilarious...(my favorite was trying to imagine Lataji doing "beedi jalaile", and Jagjit Singhji doing "Khaike paan banaraswala".

Imagining these scenarios, I am kind of convinced that each singer has his/her own genre and comfort zone.
