Bolded - And I am watching it right beside you! 😃 Even characters like Varun who's mother blames him for his brother's death and father who is just trying to smooth out the ruffled feathers, MP's being an orphan, Meher's separated parents, Pri's condescending mom are also focussed. Their problems are real and even the strained relationships are real ... the show is as close to reality as you can get! And yet, it is not overtly preachy ...

LOL according to the philosophies of these shows, it sure does😉😆😆.....but I disagree....and aren't you lucky Reemz that the love and bonding b/w the sisters hasn't lessened atleast??😛😆

The script writers would rather waste time introducing pointless new characters than write a decent parent-child scene for the show. *shakes head*
I think the reason why parents are missing in action both on DMG and MJHT is that the creatives assume youth show viewers dislike parental intervention in real life, and wouldn't want to see their favourite characters' parents meddling everywhere - whether in a positive or negative manner. To give their viewers a sense of 'freedom' from their real lives, the creatives push parents to the background in the show. That's why even the bonding scenes are reduced to being shown once in a while. It's quite a stupid logic if you ask me, but I think that's one of the reasons why grown ups aren't prominent figures in the lives of their children on those two shows.
awww anu..that first scene is soooo cuteeeeeee!!
