Get some professional certification. Learn some management skills. Tell the interviewer you need market rates for salary, while applying for job.

Which you gain through actually working and gaining work experience... certifications will only take you so far. Online coding courses don't make a Software Engineer 🤣

Work experience does matter. Patience is also needed.

Internship will provide some experience...did you intern when you were undergrad?
