If it is the actual reason then it is complete hypocrisy by janki maa ngl at one side she says Mauli is also one of her family members and favouring Manisha on the other end just because she is her daughter.I get she wants everyone's well being but I do believe at the time of Rauli's love track she will possibly become one of the challenges in their story.Personally for me there should be no restriction between two individuals who are purely in love with each other irrespective of complex relationship dynamics.In this context, there is nothing wrong in a romantic relationship between Mauli and Rahul because a) Mauli is not actual daughter of Manoj and b) Manas and mauli were only husband and wife for 2 minutes at the start of first episode so it shouldn't be a problem for anyone

She says that Mauli is her family but the way she was saying ki kuch unch neech ho jaye us se pehle shadi kra do & after Mauli's reply she was like ki Manoj ki beti ho & all clearly shows she doesn't consider Mauli her very own as of now. Problem kya she'll be the first person to oppose their relationship if everything continues this way. Haan us se pehle agar thoda character development hota hai to well & good wrna no expectations from this character wrt to Rauli.

Well let's just hope for the best regarding Janki Maa.

Dude I've been imagining all of this since forever & also Rahul pampering Mauli like he said. Also them going away from the mehendi wala Ghar for sometime & having quality time together like the Mumbai track.

I think Janki said in one dialogue that Vijay’s relationship with Manoj will be destroyed again if MauRa happen. I’m guessing that like most Indian mothers she is hypocritical and a little selfish when it comes to family. I don’t think she thinks less of Mauli but I feel that she fears about the dynamics between her family members who are together after a long time. I’m not saying she is right but I understand where that thought comes from. I think for her, this a complication she doesn’t want. On some level, she realises that MauRa are better suited for each other than everyone else, and on the other, their relationship can cause strain between Vijay-Manoj, Tanvi-Ajanta, Ajanta-rest of the family.

Ultimately, MauRa will change her perception and win her approval. They are already de-facto her favorite grandchildren, lol. Either the whole family will try to convince her later on, or she will come around in the beginning and see how much they love each other and are suited for each other and stand up for them in front of Tanvi/Ajanta etc.

That's what I meant too. She's the typical Indian grandmother who doesn't think any less of Mauli but definitely prefers her own family over her like in the Manas scenario & same in Manisha's case. Ofc she's one of the first persons to note the kind of rapport & chemistry MauRa share. Obviously MauRa will change her perception but I'm damn sure she's gonna be the first one to oppose the relationship. I really want the younger ones to notice the spark between MauRa & kinda play cupid for them 😉😉. As of now it's only Jyoti Chachi who knows about them & is already team MauRa.

Exactly as Vish said janki maa is not all bad and definitely doesn't have any ill will towards Mauli and Rahul.But before all of that the main mission is to unite all the family members together again and get Manoj forgiveness from janki maa so that all these issues will not be occuring during MauRa's track as then all family members will be united and it will become easier to persuade other family members and ultimately janki maa.l think its already started and family will be somewhat closed to united during Manisha's marriage ceremonies episodes and Manoj rectifing his mistake and getting his sister married to the boy of her liking will lift a huge weight on Manoj's as well as Janki maa's shoulder and it can also lead to get Manoj that forgiveness from Janki maa.
