Hey bee!! Good to see you pen down your thoughts on the episode.. it was that kinda episode, the best so far and will remain one of the top10 scenes for me..
There was not one thing about the wedding sequence that I wish I could change or have it some other way. Right from the costumes..yes I personally really liked what RR was wearing..not very familiar with their customs, but the fiery orange silk shirt, the thick gold chain and bracelet and the traditional dhoti/lungi (dunno if its call something else down south), was just perfect for a groom..That sanskrit shlok chanting in the beginning when he is getting ready and Pallavi is walking towards the front door..it just set the right mood for what was to follow.. Her plain yellow cotton saree.. again a color considered auspicious and pious in hindu culture just like orange RR was wearing..
There were hardly any words spoken between the two and Pallavi actually didnt speak a word yesterday..yet Raghav knew exactly what was going on in her mind when they stood facing each other as soon as she stepped in the house.. Almost like he couldn't bear seeing her so troubled and so decided to first calm her nerves down and address her concerns before getting into anything else.. I dont think that was planned..
I also absolutely LOVED the mandap scene..can rewatch it on loop.. I might sound like a freak but that moment when he notices her foot when she is stepping on the mandap, I found it so intimate. People have fetish with how a woman or even a man's foot looks right? I for one, love nicely done nails, clean pedicured feet, be it a man or woman lol When she sat down next to him.. it was like the perrrrrrfect frame. Their expressions soooo on point even the body language clearly depicted their individual states of mind.
RR was so restrained yesterday..he wanted to quickly get done with the whole thing, lest the muhurat passes and his amma throws another tantrum.. but he was considerate of her feelings, aware of her conflicts and fears.. he showed patience and restrain both which don't come naturally to him.. In between those glares, one could also see him looking at her with concern and admiration.. She is a woman of honor, who keeps her word and would go to any length to protect her family..Im sure he recognizes that besides the fact that she looked so divine and pious in that yellow.. Even in the simplest of sarees she could get her hands on, she looked like a vision to behold.. especially when he puts the sindoor on her. I bet he couldn't take his eyes off her which is why he got visibly pissed on seeing unwanted people walking in.. I also liked how he told the pandit that there's no need of any formality when the pandit asked Pallavi to change(into a bridal attire).. He looked at her and realized she is not interested..wasn't even carrying anything to change into... On a normal day, he would have snapped at her..but yesterday, atleast to me it seemed he didn't wanna bother her.. To me that was very sweet..

Their eyes alone can speak everything... and today, words were not needed at all. They were both doing this for their family... Pallavi's eyes kept flitting to the police station footage while Raghav's kept glancing at the door, waiting for amma and Keerti. The way he was observing Pallavi throughout, you could see the harsh businessman who was finalising a deal, but you could also see a thin layer of concern underneath. It was the empathy of a man who knew what she was going through, because love for family is something he understands all too well. Like he said, he was just as helpless as she was in doing this. It's why he decided to show her the footage first before anything else — he wanted her to be assured that her efforts were working. He wanted that same assurance for himself too, that this desperate act of his would finally get him his family. But he knew he had to wait for his own wish, so he gave her hers first.
Can you at least pretend that you're a bit worried for what Pallavi might be going through?
We know they're the leads of our show and with this shaadi we can see more of them and less of Dfam
