Arjun was an archer not a wrestler (not that he was bad at that) and I personally would prefer the CVs showing that he cuts Jayadrath's head rather showing that he throttles him.

On a lighter note it's easy to see why Arjun chooses Jayadrath in the SP version. Ashwi is immortal - can't be killed. Dury/Dushi - chosen by Bheem. Angraj -everybody including Pandavas are confused about him. Drona - Drishtad's victim. Shalya - chosen by Nakul, Shakuni - chosen by Sahadev so that leaves only Jayadrath among the warriors.
