Rishi : nahi main kal isse Rk mansion mein Rk ki party mein mila tha..

Assistant : sir meeting kahan aur kitne baje ki fix karu?

Rishi : umm..afternoon 3:00...kal, studio mein...

Assistant : right sir..i'll inform her...

Rishi : leave now...i have some work

The PA leaves but, returns back in a minute..

Rishi : what?

Assistant : sir, unka naam?

Chapter 23 - WELCOME CHANGES

Rk : chalo ab...phir matt kehna tumhein waqt nahi mila..

And they walked till the entrance and madhu was amazed at what she saw!

Padmini, trishna, roma, and...

There he stood as joyous as ever! But before he could speak anything madhu spoke, "Mallik aap?"

Mallik : kaisi ho madhu?

Madhu : ab waqt mila aapko apni beti se baat karne ka?

Mallik : kya karu beta kashmir mein fight sequence tha aur phone networks jam thhe uss ilaake mein!

Rk : waise sasurji sahi waqt pe aaye hain...nahi toh.. (madhu cuts him)

Madhu : andar chalein?

And all of them walk in talking to each other happily. Madhu secretly looks ast trishna and raising her eyebrows tries to question her if mallik knows about Rk's revenge...trishna nods a 'NO' at her...madhu replies back gesturing to stay quiet about it...trishna agrees...

Meanwhile Rk notices madhu-trishna's eye to eye conversation trying to gauge what is happening...almost managing to understand their talk...he walks till the stage and announces, "ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to my family..."

He walks up to where mallik is standing and says, "mr. Mallik...my wife, madhu's father"

"mrs. padmini mallik, madhu ki maa "

"miss trishna mallik , madhu ki behen"

"And my wife madhubala's guardian and bua miss roma mallik"

And then to everyone's surprise he knelt on one knee and presented a ring to madhu saying, "i love you madhu! kya tum sab kuch bhulaakar...mujhe maaf kar sakti ho? kya tum meri zindagi mein aakar isse humesha ke liye jeene layak bana sakti ho?" with a lot of sincerity and honesty in his voice...

Madhu was almost in tears...she knelt down to meet his eyes and nodded a yes and spoke, "rk main yahi hoon, hamesha...tumhaare paas" and rk slid the ring on madhu's finger...

Bittuji : Thank u for your attention, ladies and gentlemen...😳

Rk : bittuji!

"yes chief"

"bittuji music..."

In a while the music rose high and mesmerised the guests forcing their feet to dance...

It was soothing and Rk could no longer resist so, he asked madhu for a dance...both were lost in each others' eyes and after what seemed like ages, Rk spoke while dancing...

Rk : madhu kal teen baje ki flight hai...lekin uske pehle maine ek press conference bulaayi hai...ek din aur..DAMN!

Madhu : rk hum kal kaise nikal sakte hain...kal toh...

Rk : kal kya?

Madhu : tum bhul gaye? Rk kal hume doctor ke paas jaana hai...

Rk : ek kaam karte hain hum kal doctor ke paas jayenge, honeymoon toh agle saal jaa sakte hain! hai naa?

Madhu just burst out laughing...

Rk : biwi isme hasne waali kaunsi baat hai?

Madhu : kuch nahi...(still smiling at his desperation)

And then he pulled her close with their bodies hugging each other and they danced away till the party ended. Blissful moments that the two would never forget...and the music engulfed the noise and gifted musical silence where the frozen stares were enough to lose themselves to each other...

And Rk just came and snapped his fingers in front of madhu who was sitting on the bed smiling and hadn't noticed Rk staring at her since past fifteen minutes!

Rk : itna bhi matt socha karo mere bare mein, nazar lag jayegi (winks at her)

Madhu : rk! Tum kab aaye?

Rk : tabhi jab tum din mein sapne dekhte huye bhi mujhe ghoor rahi thi ! (with a straight face)

Madhu just picks up a pillow and throws at him...

Rk : arre!

"chief"

Rk : lo aa gaya tumhaara chowkidaar!

bittuji just walks into their room..

Madhu smiles..

Rk : bittuji aapne kal party attend nahi ki?

Bittuji : kaisi baat kar rahe hain cheif aap..

Rk : toh aapko yaad hoga ki meri aur madhu ki shaadi ho chuki hai aur kal ussii ki party thi..

Bittuji : yes chief..

Rk : toh aap knock nahi kar sakte!?

Bittuji : sorry chief!

Rk : ab bataayenge kya kaam hai?

Bittuji : cheif woh press conference aadhe ghante mein hai...

Rk : aur kuch?

Bittuji : no chief...main dekhta hoon sab niche tayiyaar hai ki nahi..(bittuji exits)

Rk : madhu tum ready ho jaao mujhe kuch kaam hai tab tak...(rk exits)

At Rishi's office

Assistant : sir, unka naam?

Rishi was lost in thoughts of last night's party when his assistant questioned about the name...and then he remembered rk introducing her,"miss Trishna mallik, madhu's sister"

Assistant : sir! SIR! Unka naam?

Rishi : trishna...trishna mallik! Kal 3 baje !

Assistant : right sir..(and he leaves)

At Rk Mansion

The press conference:

Rk and madhu were sitting on the sofa in their living room and a few reporters were sitting on the chair facing them and ready with theirs microphones, cameras and questions..

Reporter 3: sir humne suna ki aapne aur madhubala ji ne phir se shaadi ki..

Reporter 1: sir aapki aur miss madhu ki shaadi toh tuut gayi thi phir...

Madhu : haan humne kuch kadvi yaadon ko mitaane ke liye ohir se shaadi ki lekin, yeh humaara aapas kaa mamlaa hai...aur mujhe koi aitraaz nahi toh aapko toh koi problem nahi honi chahiye, hai naa?

Reporter 2 : sir aapki agli film?

Rk : resuming shooting after a week...agli film ke bare mein abhi nahi bata sakta...

Reporter 3 : sir film ka naam..?

Rk : film abhi pre production stage mein hai aur untitled hai..

Reporter 4 : sir suna hai miss trishna mallik ne film ke liye audition diya hai?

Rk was taken aback...madhu and rk exchanged shocked glances...but, in order to avoid attention rk coolly just dismissed the topic saying "dekhiye mujhe ab tak heroine kaun hai kuch pata nahi hai"

Reporter 1: sir suna hai aap apni wife ke saath holiday pe jaa rahe hain?

Reporter 2: sir kaunsi jagah?

Rk : jaa rahe hain...kahan wo surprise hai biwi ke liye...

Reporter 3: kya miss madhubala ke saath aapki koi film aayegi?

Reporter 2: sir bataayiye kya miss madhubala acting ki duniya mein kadam rakhengi?

Rk was getting angry now...he cudn't stand these questions...he didn't want his wife to be stared at by strangers on screen specially when he knew madhu's disinterest in acting...he was about to answer rudely when, madhu interrupted..

Madhu : nahi mujhe acting mein koi interest nahi...thank u...

Rk : bittuji!

Bittuji : thank u ...conference is over...aap jaa sakte..

Reporter 1: sir ek last question..sir ...

Bittuji : thank u! Thank u...

madhu and rk walked out of the living room, up the stairs leading to their room..

In the Bedroom

Rk : biwi tumne packing karli?

Madhu (while packing a few thing in the suitcase) : rk kal raat bhi party ke baad tumhaari tabyat thik nahi thi...jaana zaroori hai kya? Phir tumhaari diet bhi...

Rk : biwi maine doctor se phone pe baat kar li hai...he said its fine..

Madhu : rk 11 baj gaye hain...bittuji ne kaha tha 1 baje nikalna hai...tum so jao thodi der...

(same day) In The Flight

The flight is just about to take off...madhu is seated near the window pane and Rk is sitting beside her..

Madhu : rk main pehle kabhi plane mein nahi behthi..(grabing rk's arm)

Rk : biwi main hoon naa

Madhu : Rk lekin...(already fearing looking out of the window)

Rk : Shh..! madhu, mera haath pakdo...aur meri aankhon mein dekho..

Madhu does what rk said. Staring into each other's eyes he speaks, " madhu tumne kabhi socha hai aasmaan se baarish kaisi lagti hogi?"

Madhu : rk ek toh mujhe darr lag raha hai ki take off kab hoga aur tum mujhe dara rahe ho?

Rk : udhar dekho (gesturing her to look outside the window)

The flight had taken off and was stable in the sky now...it was raining below...this cloud filled with water was just a little below their flight...and the beauty of it was breathtaking...madhu, hesitating a little finally turned to look outside the window...and was left staring outside...

After a while, "rk mujhe aise kyu dekh rahe ho?"

Rk : kyuki main tumhaare andar chhipi uss choti si maasoom bacchii ko miss nahi karna chahta...bilkul waisi jo uss raat andhere mein aakar mere galle lagi thi..😳

Madhu just stares at him...

Precap :

At the airport , after reaching their destination...

Madhu : rk tumne kaha tha hum spain jaa rahe hain, hum london mein kyaa kar rahe hain!?
