RK saved Madhu's life from Ballu and look what he did at the end. Padmini has seen this very well hasn't she??? Still she's doing mistake of trusting innocent faced people this easily??😕😕

She's desperate to save her daughter's life by any means. She's take what she can get. She just doesn't want her daughter to end up with RK that's all.

No, because I believe what he did during their first interaction formed the basis for her trust on him and made a lasting impact, and it's only grown later afterwards. Remember what happened in their first interaction. A day or two after RK had made a scene at the chawl, RK is harassing and bothering through the phone. She then hears the windshield incident and story from Madhu. They think RK has knocked on the door, but it was Sultan. The very fact that he came there and acknowledged his mistake, the way he acknowledged it (he said his mistake wasn't what he did, but that he didn't think of the consequences on Madhu), and then his asking for forgiveness--that gave Padmini a better impression of him. I specifically remember how the camera went to Madhu and Padmini and you could tell Padmini appreciated that this man apologized. And (if I am remembering correctly) for the audience the music also signified the importance of that scene, building up to a crescendo to fall silent when he said "forgive me."

Then came all the other interactions. RK himself let it be known to Padmini that Sultan came after him because he overhead Padmini's worries that RK had taken Madhu by force. (Yeah, RK said it differently, but anyone could piece together what happened and Padmini would've.) Then when RK came to the chawl to harass about Madhu's whereabouts, he asked for Sultan's number. Padmini had then number, that right there also says something. RK calls Sultan and Sultan calls back asking whether Madhu's okay. Padmini answers him truthfully. Later, when Deepali goes to the chawl, we are left to again infer that both Padmini and Trishna have his number.

Not to forget, even without Madhu around, Sultan and Aryan were seen at the chawl with Padmini and Trisha. All this points to a sort of familiar trust that she has on Sultan.

Also, Sultan is actually not so much shown as running from the police. He's shown as being pretty set and 'safe' so to speak.😆

I have a simple answer to ur arguments re😉

Okay so if a Gangster starts speaking to u nicely & sweetly then for Paddy all his crimes are erased?? She would forget what is his identity just by some nice conversations?? And moreover she would ask him to KIDPNAP her daughter against her wish..this was limit yaar...!!!
I don't get it how can a few sweet lines at first place melt her heart & made her "trust" him?

Now if every gangster starts talking sweetly, then we going to trust every1 kya?😆
Yes true about that😆 But Paddy was the one who was lecturing Madhu about how big criminal is Sultaan and how many murders he could have done..then why this trust?😕

At last i guess everybody has different POVs about every character:)

Yes i know she was a desperate mother, who wanted her child to be safe at any cost. But save ur child by risking her again?? Morever asking a stranger not to forget gangster to KIDNAP ur daughter forcefully?? Is this what a desperate mother should do really?

And I think it's completely believable that Padmini would go and seek Sultan's help. She has a good equation and relationship with him, she trusts him as we've seen many times, and she's a mother who needs to get her daughter out of this situation. Where could she go? To the police? That wouldn't have been feasible in even normal circumstances, and certainly not in the current circumstance.

Sorry for butting in...I would also like to add few points here. She is seeking help from Sultan, not because he is a friend of Madhu...but she sees him more as a protector of Madhu. He is the only one who can stand against RK. The last time when Mallik tried it, he ended up in his death bed.
And regards to her faith in Sultan, she knows Madhu has visited him quite often. If he had to harm her, he would have done so long time back. Also she is aware of the kind of comfort level Madhu shares with Sultan. So I guess she thought he was the best person to approach for help.

Padmini is desperate. She needs to save her daughter. And what does this have to do with his crimes? This is about his relationship and interaction with her, Madhu and Trishna. And for that she trusts him, as she has reasons to trust him as I've detailed in my above post. It's not just a few sweet lines. But that's fine, you don't get it, but there are others who do.

The Paddy who lectured still eventually relented to his staying there. And I the reason she was able to relent eventually is partly due to that first interaction. As for why the trust, as I said, look at the development and interactions, and the trust has clearly been built up and is believable.

Yeah everybody has different POVs about every character. :) I completely understand and sympathize with this mother who's desperate to want her daughter out of the current situation, to save her from the man who first also kidnapped (I think that same word was used on the show itself? Either by Madhu or Deepali? If not, my mistake.) her daughter. She is desperate enough to want to save her daughter from making a huge mistake in either playing a game with him or trusting him.

No need to be sorry. Much appreciated. And I agree with your input. She does see him as a protector of Madhu here. Though I think she does realize that they now have somewhat of a friendship as well. But yeah here, she is going to him as a protector of Madhu, and one who can stand against RK and do something to get Madhu out.

Well I think like others CVS has ruined Paddo's character as well.

Isn't it the same padmini who didn't want Madhu to have anything to do with Sultan because he is a Gangster 😕
Maybe her intent is to save her daughter's life for perceived threat from RK but that scene was so poorly scripted and executed (not blaming the actress) that it looked totally weird. 🤔
She even went to the extent to suggest Kidnapping of Madhu

Another thing is when she went to meet and warn Madhu, she didn't let Madhu explain her POV and it was either you do what I want to or I'm going. When she kind of knows the dilemma Madhu is going through I wished she as a mother would have tried to understand what is going on in her daughter's mind. If it wasn't possible thr (because of RK) Paddo could have taken Madhu to her house 🤔

@ Bold, i totally agree with you. Today i could see fear and anguish in her eyes. How desperate she must be to ask such help from Sultan.

Her attempt to dissuade her daughter had failed, and now she fears the worst. If RK can break her daughter so badly just to avenge for 4 slaps...what will he do to avenge his heartbreak. She is a mother and first instinct will be to save her child. She may have not even thought through her plans...all she knows is that she has to get her daughter out from there...hook or by crook.

I guess the sane response should be to call the police and get RK arrested on kidnapping charges. A normal mother would have done so right away when she first found that Madhu was in RK's house. But sane response mein drama kahan 😆?

Anyway all this Padmini discussion is deviating from the actual theme of the topic. Which is about RK and his naricissm, inability to connect at an emotional level and unburden the perceived hurts he's received on any readily available target (in this case Madhu).

Men like RK fascinate women because they see them as projects ripe for work - "I can change him, transform him - for me he'd become a sane loving man" and so on. Such transformations are rare - very rare. In most cases the women involved with such men get trapped in an infinite loop of deceit and hurt. Too bad most RK fans are too young to have ever known someone in a situation such as Madhu's and hence have no real life benchmarkt to understand a character like RK.
