Der aaye, durast aaye. We thought it was over with that one afternoon of cutting cakes, but they celebrated it grander than ever seen before for an itv show getting to 500.

I'm sure its because the show outperformed all expectations of the cast and crew. Like Gulki always says it was an experiment for them all, and they've kept experimenting with new entries and track changes. Makers probably thought show would run to 100, max 200 episodes. But this level of love and long-run is overwhelming for everyone involved.
