Episode ~18

20^th January 2010

Derelict Site

The episode begins with Morey looking behind him to ensure that no one is about.Babi continues to watch keenly as to why Morey was here ,and whose whereabouts was he asking about? She continues to watch them, as they carry walking on deeper into the site.Morey, and company walk briskly, as he complained, move it! or do I need to get a jeep for you? As they vanish around the corner. Babi looks at Bappa's murti, clutches it to her heart, pipes up courage and decides to follow them. Surreptitiously she follows them into a large empty under construction room. Kadam, indicates where this person is. Babi creeps behind a decrepit wall and hears the voice of an elderly female, sitting of the floor propped up against a pillar, may you all drop dead! starve me or beat me! I won't stop cursing you! the lot of you will go to hell!. Morey shouts shut up! as he towers over her.One of his men complain, sahab she is such a headache! she won't shut up for a single minute!. The woman looks up at Morey ,who stands above her, you harass a mother, lord will never forgive you. Morey bends down and shouts in her face, shut up!! once you get to eat! all you do is just blabber! I'll hit you! strangle you! and throw you in the sea! so shut up not a sound! he intimidates her as he squeezes her face cruelly. The woman looks up at him in grief, you want to shut me up?.. Kadam says , sahab if someone finds her we will all be messed! Morey moves towards her deep in thought ,as Babi not to far, edges closer to hear and see. The woman cries out, oh lord may your wrath fall upon them! don't forgive them!.you sold my innocent little daughter!.Babi hears the grieving mothers words and in shock Bappa's idol falls from her hand on some straw ,beneath her feet, and she quickly bends to pick it up and clasps it against her heart.. shocked by the revelation. The woman carries on crying, a mother's curse will fall upon you! you will never be happy! may you drop dead! my little girl!.. and Morey grabs her face and yells again , shut up old woman! and he gives her a back hand slap across her face. But she continues loudly, you will never find peace! a mother's curse is upon you! you'll never have a family of your own! no wife! no kids! drop dead you rascal! you are a scoundrel!. Morey glares at her in dark rage, and strikes her, as she falls to one side, shut up you beggar! I provided for you and your daughter ! and here you curse me?. He pulls out his gun from the back, you curse me Malmal Morey?!! and he cocks his gun, and kicks her ruthlessly. Babi watches in horror, as Morey screams, you swear at me ?and he points his gun to the floor where she lay.. the woman screams drop dead you!. A shot is fired! as Morey takes the first shot at her!. Babi's eyes pop out. Morey turns to his men, reverts back to look at the woman, and then shots yet another time! and shouts, ME! you are cursing me! Malmal Morey! and he beats his chest like a madman! He shoots yet another time at the already dead woman!. Babi covers her mouth in horror! as Morey lowers his gun, wipes his mouth, and turns to his shocked men. Babi in absolute horror hides behind a wall.

Basti

Meanwhile the celebrations of pre-sagai, music , dance, drink continues. Naku sits alone on the stage looking out for her mother who was gone for a while. She looks around then goes to a near inebriate Ganpat, babaa !babaa! where's aye?, he tells her to forget her! its your engagement ! let's dance! and he makes Naku dance with him ..

Derelict Site

One of Morey's men say, sahab, we took care of this old woman but what about that daku Babi singh?. Another man adds, sahab , she's very tough like a lioness, the first one says ,when she finds out you'll sell her daughter off in Dubai, after marriage! she won't be quiet! she'll make our lives difficult! .. Babi holds on to the wall as she hears the truth. Morey replies, shut up you guys! what do you think Malmal Morey,will stop his business because of Babi?oh I've turned many a lioness into rats!I'll muzzle that Babi in no time.Babi hears what he says, but he smugly continues, but boys this time we have a different plan. This time the girl won't fly directly to Dubai, the truth is Morey likes Nakusha ji, I'll marry her and enjoy my honeymoon for a while..once I get bored of her, I will dispatch her off to Dubai..once she boards the plane to Dubai..her life will be set in some sheik's palace! and this poor Morey will get on with his life, searching for a new fish.. and he chuckles.

In shock Babi moves abruptly and steps on the aluminium.. and Morey too turns at the sound... but no one is about. He still asks his men, go check it out is someone there?.The men disperse as Morey gets suspicious. Babi presses against a wall. The men check the outside boundary of the site, and Morey watches them from an unfinished window of the building site.. is any one there ? he calls out.. and they reply no one is about!.Babi looks at her Bappa in devotion for protection..

The men then carry a search inside the decrepit site. They confirm no one is in sight, and Morey says, lets go then, must be a cat.. I'm getting late for my engagement. He returns to the women's body, and orders his men, take care of her, throw her in the sea , the fish will bless you, let the fish have a feast ! let them take care of her!.. after a thought,Morey says, listen Kadam this one is easy to get rid off, she has no family..what'll we do with Babi? she's got a husband and a son, her entire neighbourhood knows her!. do one thing, once I'm off to my honeymoon, with Nakusha ji burn her house down!, in fact burn down the entire neighbourhood! If every one dies , nobody will ask questions !he orders and Kadam commits yes sir, I'll burn the entire neighbourhood. Morey says, once Nakusha ji is off to Dubai, Morey ji will get busy, looking for a new Nakusha. Kadam smiles at his boss's ideas, and he snubs him, stop grinning! there Nakusha ji will be waiting for me ,with a ring in her hand lets'go and you get busy, he says looking at the dead woman's body. They leave the site. Babi hangs on to the wall and begins to lose her breath at his heinous plan.. she too in panic, runs but leaves behind her nose ring on the floor.. of the site..

She rushes out of the place ,ducking for cover, and hyperventilating.. Morey too grandly heads back for his engagement.

Back in the basti, Naku starts asking in the crowd , if people have seen her mother? and people reply , she must be around, somewhere. She finds Mangla, have you seen aye, who replies she has not? but what's wrong Naku? she asks.

Babi reaches the venue and is relieved to see her daughter, amidst all, and things appear normal.Mangla looks at a shaken Babi, what's happened? her and Kaido ask. Naku shakes her mothers shoulders and insists, what's wrong tell me! a hyperventilating Babi, pulls Naku away ,come with me! and takes her to the stage .. Naku ! Naku!, Babi struggles to speak ,as Naku, encourages her to.. wait I'll get some water for you, Naku suggests and Babi pulls her back and continues , Naku that Morey.. and suddenly Babi feels his hand squeeze her shoulder.. she sides her eyes.. Naku looks behind her mother , and Morey's face slowly emerges behind her mothers head... he says, talking secrets..he brings his face closer to Babi's from behind and carries on, what are you telling your daughter? I hope you are teaching her how to start a family ..how to keep a husband happy..areee aye there are five days before the wedding!get us engaged first!. He turns to the dancing crowd, hey guys stop the music!are you here only for fun and frolic? Why are you here? it's Malmal Morey's engagement!so get us engaged! can someone bring the rings?.Babi grabs her daughters hand and presses it against her belly in fear. Kaidu calls out, Mangla is bringing them sahab!.. Morey says, oh Mangla je may god bless you..but Naku ,looks searchingly in her mothers tearful eyes..who recalls what she had witnessed. Naku asks her mother, where is your nose ring?.. Babi feels her nose in horror, I must have dropped it...then she says in fright, must be here, somewhere... Morey turns his head towards Babi and casually says, it must be here around somewhere, Aye is running around so much.. not to worry aye , Malmal Morey will get you a new one.. a relieved Babi looks on sheepishly.

Mangla brings the rings and Ganpat goes to the stage. Morey picks up his ring first from a rose petal decorated platter, and says , Nakusha ji, this is Malmal Morey's ring that Nakusha ji will put on Malmal Morey's finger with her beautiful soft hands..and now babaa you see this one.. [a diamonds cluster which he kisses] is the one that Malmal Morey will put on Nakusha ji's finger.. and he grabs her hand and slides it on her finger.. Ganpat smiles in delight, while Babi weeps and Naku notes that..

Morey yells what are you all waiting for? can we have clapping! And he looks at her leeringly, and now Nakusha ji , puts the engagement ring on Malmal Morey's finger come on now..Naku puts a ring on his finger.. and Morey shouts, now a louder applause! the sound should reach the other end of the shore! we are engaged !dance everybody dance! start the music!. All begin to dance and Morey dances in front of the family on the stage. Morey says, Nakusha ji , aye, I need to leave now, from tommorrow , I've to prepare for the wedding, lots of work to do. He looks at Naku full of lust, and says, Nakusha ji how will I get thorugh these five days? Only my heart knows, I wish ,I could take you with me tomorrow. He turns to Babi, with folded hands, and says , aye my respects ,and touches her feet, as Babi's cheeks gasp for air.He turns to Naku, Nakusha ji, I'll be back soon and I will take you with me forever, but for now, I'll take your leave, plenty to do.He feels the tip of her nose, and takes her hand and kisses the top of the ring , as he gives a sided glare to Babi . Naku lowers her eyes ... and Morey leaves.

Babi looks after him in horror and feels her brow. Naku can see her mother looks peaky and she asks , aye are you ok?. Babi feels her daughters shoulders, Naku suggests to her, shall we go home... the celebrations carry on..

Naku's home

The family enters the home, but Ganpat shouts, hey come back people! we're still partying! more drinking! more fun to be had!

Babi pulls him into the house and shuts the door, and says, sit down! While he yells, but I want to celebrate right now. Babi walks restlessly across the room. While, Naku sits on a bed in a trance like state. Babi says, we're leaving. She reaches up for a tin suitcases takes it across to the bed where Ganpat sits and says, pack your things! Get everything! Naku get all your stuff and pack! We're leaving. Naku looks puzzled wonders what's going on. Sethji sits playing with the mobile , Ganpat just relaxes. Babi cries out oh lord how do I get out of this one?.. lets go! lets get out of this place, she says, as all stare at her. She stops her packing for a bit and asks, why are you all staring at me? don't you understand what I am saying we're leaving right now! hurry up!. A drunk Ganpat drawls, have you lost your mind? why are you spoiling my mood? where do you want to go now? Naku's just got engaged, then she'll get married. Babi defies, no! she won't get married! she won't get married! that Morey wants to kill all of us!.. Ganpat says, have you gone insane? have you lost it? Morey is a mate, he is our SIL, why would he want to kill us?. An upset Babi replies, I can only explain that when you are not drunk... I saw with my own eyes, Morey killed that old woman! he sold that old woman's daughter to Dubai, and now ,he'll marry Naku and sell her! later, he'll burn down this house along with the entire neighbourhood!

Ganpat refutes her, why are you talking nonsense? what's got into you? Babi says I am talking nonsense? listen to this.. and she gives a recount of what she saw and heard..Naku, Ganpat, Sethji all are in shock, as they listen to the gory details. Ganpat's hands tremble and his face is filled with horror.. episode ends.. Hamlet53~19.9.13

Precap~ before that animal called Morey comes for us, we'll flee from here! says Babi. The family is seen escaping, Naku's head covered by a shawl.. they come to a road.. suddenly a set of car headlights shines of them.. and they all halt..

Its an awesome thrilling update...OMG!!!.This Morey is a monster...He sold a little girl & killed her mother...Poor woman...Her curses & cries are heart wrenching...Babi saw Morey's heartless encounter of that elder woman...Poor babi...She got shocked...ERRR...This Morey is a mad man...Worst person in the world...He wants to marry Naku & enjoy her body& then sell her to abroad..OMG!!!..What a heartless idea...Thank god Babi Heard all this plans...I can't tolerate his torture...Waiting for my roaring angel...hehehe ..Morey's men are worse than our Dutta's BG group...Bappa saved babi from this evil Morey..OMG!!!...She left her nose ring on the site...Babi tried to say the truth about Morey to naku...But Suddenly Moray appeared & asked about her nose ring also...I hate this ceremony...I loved this babi..She is sooo brave...She wanted leave that basti immediately with her family. She told her family to pack their bags...Stupid Ganpat..he didn't realize the situation...babi explained those cold blood murder...All are in shock...Superb update...Loved it...Thank you sooo much for your continuous dedication Hammie ji...Enjoyed the update...eagerly waiting for Tomorrow's update...

Episode ~19

Naku's Home

The episode starts with Babi leading her argument against Morey and his deeds. She attempts to convince her husband, Ganpat think? why Morey spent so much money on us? he bought expensive clothes for us, got the whole basti decorated , gave a party with food drunks and music, did the drama of an engagement? he spent a few bucks and will make thousands by selling off Naku!I always said from the very beginning that Morey is a criminal! a rogue ! but no one listened to me! shouts Babi. A dazed Gapat says in despair, Babi where will we go? and Babi,replies, anywhere! away from this basti!away from Morey! before that animal named Morey comes and gets us! we'll flee ! runaway. Ganpat says displaced,but where Babi? , she gives a vacant look and says, I don't know... the phone suddenly rings, Sethji looks its Morey, and he says in panic , aye its Morey.. the phone continues to ring. On the other end ,Morey waits and says, Naku ji... Babi tells Sethji not to answer it! and he throws it on the bed. Morey meanwhile wonders why the phone is not being picked up, he switches off the telly. Babi, orders every to leave, but Ganpat interrupts and says, Babi we will leave this house, this basti, but not yet.. all look worried as they think Ganpat will resist, but he continues , we'll leave when its nigh time, Babi you don't worry, I am with you.. and Naku cries tears of joy, and Babi nods with confidence.

When night falls , against the sound of the crickets, Ganpat with his head covered with a sack slowly opens his front door and checks if the coast was clear outside. He picks up the suitcase and comes out of his house first on the empty street , turns back to his wife and whispers , Babi come. They follow Babi , Naku and Sethji. Then Babi turns back, bolts and padlocks her their kholi, joins her family outside their home, picks up the tin case and looks back sadly at the padlock on her home..ohh jagdambaa! please watch over us.. she chants, as the family walks huddled together out of the basti. A taxi approaches ahead and they all group and move off the road as it speeds past them. Timidly and silently they walk past people sleeping on their veranda outsides their kholis. Naku covers her face with her grey shawl on her head. The family carries on walking clustered together as a stray dog barks behind them. A frightened Sethji walks close to Naku's with her arm around his shoulder.Ganpat leads them on, and at last they turn the corner.. then the wharf, and later on end up walking down the road . where they speed up their walking pace. Babi speed walks her children.. but they stop and look behind, as Sethji says Babba !..Ganpat stops for a breather and holds a bottle of alcohol in his hand. Babi reaches him, and is about to snatch it from his hand!and he assures her he's not going to drink it and puts the cap back on and tries to lift the tin case again but falls on his knees. Sethji runs to his father's side and offers to carry the box but Ganapt says, its ok lets go! and the family start speeding down the road again.. they cut across cross country to reach the main road. Babi struggles to reach the top , near the road she has breathing difficulty and she begins to cough.Naku tends to her and screams at her father hysterically, do something her hands have gone cold !.Ganpat opens his bottle of alcohol and the family thinks he is gong to have a shot, but he pours some on her palm and rubs it with his hand, saying, Babi ,we've to go a little farther , all will be fine after that, get up now ,and the family comes out of the woods on to the road, where a taxi whizzes past them.

Huddled together the family catches their breath for a moment. Behind them in the light of the highway lamps stands a stationary vehicle. Ganpat assures his wife only a little further more..and as they start again a deep voice sounds ..stop!and headlights of the car are lit up on the family , who cover their eyes from the glare. Through strained eyes they find a figure perched on the wide bonnet of the vehicle. The figure jumps down to his feet and bold loud noisy steps with shiny black shoes approaches towards the bewildered family.

Morey stands before Ganpat, horrified face. He looks at each of their shocked faces, and chuckles with a smile on his face, and begins to clap his hands loudly, as they let go of their boxes and run from him but his men now come out of police car ready to stop them.He looks at Ganpat, what guts! running away from the neighbour hood like thieves.He walks around them saying, when I called the phone kept ringing endlessly! that's when I found out something was fishy!.he turns to Babi , and MIL, you are really clever! you tried to disappear in the darkness of the night.. he puts his hand in his breast pocket and pulls out something, but this nose ring of yours, is what led me to you!. Babi looks at the nose ring in shock.. and he continues ,I thought I'll return it to you and he presses it on her palm. He then walks to Ganpat , so Ganpat seth!and he roughly grabs Ganpat's shoulder with his palm..you want to play cops and robbers in the middle of the night, then lets play!Ganpat mutters no no.. and Morey jostles his shoulder as Babi looks in fright ,and Naku weeps in panic. Sethji trembles as Morey gets hold of his head, and with a yell tries to wring it !. Sethji suppress a loud cry. Morey moves and stands behind Naku and says to Babi, and you aye, like a rat are running away! but Malmal 's eyes are sharper than a cat's! and his palm rests over Naku's head and he slowly moves her shawl down from her head.. as Naku stares in fright. Babi wonders what he was going to do next.Morey looks at Ganpat , what did I tell you Ganpat seth.. if I don't get Nakusha ji.. is not going to be anyone's. He blows at her face.. as all cry at the implication of his words. Morey, pulls her head back and glares at Ganpat , I warned you didn't I ? and Ganpat says yes.He than starts to stroke the top of Naku's head as she cries loudly, and Morey says loudly, to hell with the auspicious time set by the pandit for the wedding!Malmal and Nakusha ji's wedding will take place tomorrow!. Naku signals her mother not to put up a resistance. Morey yells for his constable, and orders, hey lame horses! barricade the the whole neighbour hood! even an ant too shouldn't be able to get out!now take my in laws back to their neighbour hood with respect!and I'll take my lovely bride myself!.. but if you permit MIL,I can take her away right now.. and Naku screams in anguish,but Morey yells out to his men, hey! What are you waiting for? take my FIL respectfully!. The men start dragging Ganpat to the police wagon, and he grabs Sethji by the back of his neck and yells, and take my BIL too!and the men drag him too, Sethji yells let him go sahab!. Babi turns to go to the car and pulls Naku's hand too , but Morey shrugs off Babi's hand and pulls Naku's back to his chest! and says, MIL. I am here to take care of her security, he spins her around to him, I'll give her protection.. and Babi begs no!. Morey tells her go on get in.. hey take her honourably! and they shove Babi in the van too, as Nakusha is left standing with him.. Ganpat yells let go of Naku sahab!.. Morey ignores him and says to Naku, come Nakusha ji, we're made for each other.. dil wale dulhaniya le jaen ge! he sings softly. Naku cries, and he says come on now, I am here for you , she resists and he pushes her to his parked motor bike.she resists as he says lets go!. Babi and Ganpat cry and shout as they watch from the car windows .. no Naku! shouts Babi, and Ganpat shouts sahab please let Naku go!.. Morey sits on his bike and coaxes the standing Naku, hurry up! we're going home to your babba and aye! but she still resists and he pushes her shoulder ,sit!!. She sits behind him on the bike and he drives off as his car follows him back to the basti.

Once they arrive, the police car stops before Naku's house and the family disembarks. Morey too drives up his bike and parks his motor cycle before Ganpats and says, what's this why are you in such a hurry Ganpat seth?

He kicks a sleeping Kaidu.. hey you get up every one! and he goes around kicking and waking up others asleep outside. Morey orders his men , go and wake everyone up in the neighbour hood! knock on every single door I want every one here!. the men go around knocking and ordering every one out f their houses!

Once a crowd gathers. Morey jumps on the bonnet of his jeep and address people Iam afraid times are not very good,I saw a starving ,poor family and decided to help them!I was polite and respectful ,I asked to marry their daughter!tell me aye ,didn't I touched your feet? I was so polite while asking for Nakusha ji's hand, I bore all the expenses of clothes, jewellery ,everything! I bought Aye a gold nose ring too! did or did'nt I buy that for you aye? but people what did they do? they were slipping away silently! So tell me , has Malmal Morey got a choice? that's why !today in the morning Malmal Morey will wed Nakusha ji! right here in the neighbourhood ,so all you friends no one will work tommorrow! Only, Eat ,drink, dance celebrate and decorate the mandap for the occasion I want every one here , get it? and he jumps off his car back on to the ground. He walks up to Sethji , chota chetan go and get some tea from the corner ,go on.. Then he glares at Ganpat.. moves towards Babi who stands beside Naku. He grabs Naku and holds her back against his chest ,and looks defiantly at Babi.. and takes her over to a woman.. he asks Naku who is she? Naku says aunty, and Morey says aunty ji my respects! Then he turns to Naku , now tell mausi ji that you and I are getting married this morning..and tell mausi ji she has to be present at our wedding. Naku says please aunty attend my wedding.. he gives naku the evil eye , grabs her hand and bends it behind her back torturing... Babi looks on in fright... the episode ends. Hamlet 53~ 20.9.13
