I couldn't agree with you more. Sometimes, there is a gp between what I write and what gets shot, telecast, approved by channel and telecast. Sometimes, the actors are not available, sometimes, the locations, sometimes, the delivery is the thr proble. There are many slips between a script and an episode before you get to see it. Unfortunately, I cannot share those problems with you. However, I am not tryintg to justify the flaws. I should have taken care. But writing a soap is not like writing a film where one has all the time in the world. Soap are written on remote. Scriptys change because some actor decides to go out, someone gets another show, someone is not well. And the channel gives a deadline when to happen what--love, separation, reunion, engagement, Haldi, Sangeet, wedding, etc. I truly appreciate your concerns and will try to make sure you do not have many complaints, but please also keep in mind the compulsions we soap writers are obliged to work under--round the clock. And here is a my favourite starement about writing for television, if you do nond the flavour--Writing for television is like making love to a Gorrila--you cannot stop when you want to stop, you stop only when the Gorrila stops! Keep watching and ignore my typos if any because I have only one eye functioning!

I agree with you. Ashu did fall in love with Nidhi for the same reason. However, in a daily soap, the channel feedback has a very important role to play--they pay the cheques! While we wanted to concentrate on the magic moments and the process of falling in love, they were concerned about story movement as per their understanding of the requirement of a daily soap. So there is always a conflcit between what we would like to do and what the channel is compelled to do. Luckily for us, Sony has been very cooperative and supportive as far as KTLK is concerned. I do not think any other channel would have dared to do something like KTLK in these days of crass, retarded, regressive soaps that others are doing for the sake of TRP. More retarded, more TRP. In fact I had suggested to some channels who wanted to me write something for television to do something like 'Dhoop KInaray' but they thought it was a wrong kind of story, it was not retarded enough for the TRP audiences. But Sony, on their own, got the rights from the Pakistani legendary writer Haseena Muin (she is 78 and she tells me she is my fan, how could I say 'no' to someone who I have idolized all my life and from from I have learned how to write for television and who considers herself my fan?)who gave the rights only if I agreed to write it. So here I am. There are many compulsions in a daily soap and I cannnot, unfortunately, share them all with you, but we are obliged to take them into account. We try to make the best of the circumstances(pl ignore my typos, I have only one good eye to work with)

Nidhi my be weak according to you, but not according to me. She is what she is supporsed to be according to the story with all her strengths and weaknesses. That is part of her characterization which is needed for the story.Chracaters fulfill the expectation of the story, not our ideas of what they should be. For example, why couldn't Seeta tell Ram to get lost when in her pregnant state, he ordered her to be exciled just because an idiot Dhobi doubted her virtue? Why didn't she rebel that while she is ready to pass through fire to give proof of her chastity, Ram should also pass through fire to prove his chastity? After all, he too was alone in the jungle where tribal women like Shabari loved him. When Ram was exciled, Seeta accompanied him, but when Ram exciled Seeta, he did not, he let her go on her own, fend for herself, and instead, chose his throne, not Seeta. His throne could have been easily taken care of by Byharat, Laxman, Shatrughn, theye wwere all able kings. He, as aloving husband, should have accompanied his pregnant wife into the excile.. But no, he did not accopany her. He chose his throne over his beloved wife!Like a typical politician! And people worship him! Specially the women--they worship the man who was so unfair to his innocent, devoted wife! Now if I ask Valmiki or Tulasi Das these uncomfortable questions, Hindus might decide to kill me and women will burn me alive on a stake because I am questioning the divinity of their Lord Ram. I feel the same way when somebody questions the character of Nidhi. She is what she is, the way you are what you are and I am what I am.Pl ignore my typos if any, only ne eye functioning.

No hiccups in marriage, guys, it is celebration time in KTLK after a long time. I am not going to let it spoiled by anything. Tamanna and Angel are right, there is more fun post marriage to explore. That will be real fun! I am looking forward to it. But before that, welcome to Ashutosh and Nidhi's Haldi, Sangeet and Marrige ceremonies...All are cordially invited. No gifts, please, only blessings!

🥳
