Sweety and Grace. There is a small personal experience that I want to share. My daughter is a chatterbox and she isn't really scared to talk to strangers. She is such a person that when I took her to her daycare the first day, I was having that stranger anxiety while my daughter didn't even turn to say bye to me. She just ran to the other children. She doesn't mind talking to anybody and everybody. When I take her to stores I have seen her talking to someone and give them a complete description of what we have purchased so far. While some of them indulge her and have told me that my daughter is sweet, I have seen people who look at me as though I am the most unworthy mother on the planet. Some tell me my daughter is confident and playful while others have adviced me that I need to focus on teaching manners to her as she doesn't know how to talk to people.

The reason I mentioned this is one cannot really control what the other person feel about you. There is no rule that every person who comes in your life thinks that you are awesome and that they is no one like you. Just like you can like or dislike someone, others can be that way with you too and sometimes there is no reason for this dislike. If you ask them why they dislike you, the answer might not make sense to you, but for the other person that answer is important. Free will is one of the hallmarks of humanity.

The way Bijoy has brought up Sonakshi is that she is the best. Anyone who says otherwise are wrong and she doesn't need them in her life. Like saying you don't need to play on slides or swings cause you got hurt. You just play with Ludo or snakes and ladders where you will not get hurt. What is the point of doing things where there is a possibility of getting hurt. He has never given her the confidence to dust off when fallen and try it again or tell her it is ok to get hurt.

When she fell in love with Dev, she for the first time thought with her heart and didn't think about the consequences. At that point of time she was liked by Dixits. She had kept the Tripatis separate at that time. But when Dev confessed his love, Tripatis became family. As her pov, in family everyone likes and loves everybody. But here was maamiji and Vickky who disliked her. She wanted them to like her. She also saw how Ishwari disliked her once their relationship was revealed. For someone who had never failed, this was a big deal. At the same time she was looking for support from her family especially from Bijoy. She needed him to give her the confidence and say you did not do anything wrong or that Dev is a good guy, you should trust him. But Bijoy did something completely different. He asked her to rethink her relationship as he did not see any future for it. He broke her trust in herself, her love. She tried to hold on by the assurance Dev had given, but when in hospital he said "hame alag hona hoga", for her it was like her nightmare coming true.

Sonakshi is a person who has always looked for external validation, especially from her family. When she comes back from hospital and tells what happened, instead of showing compassion and understanding, Bijoy tells her that Dev was unworthy of her and so she should not cry for him. He just orders everyone to leave her and tells her to cry that night, but come morning she should stop it and never think about it. This made her feel that she was wrong and had lost her respect in her fathers eyes. In a way had shamed him by failing in love with an imperfect guy. She is not someone who can live with the fact that I can be disliked. She took it in a way that her father was right. One should not do anything that can cause hurt. She went with her baba's choice. Bijoy liked Ritwick as he was a complete opposite of Dev. While Dev is sometimes volatile and unpredictable, Ritwick is predictable and someone who is "perfect" for Sona according to Bijoy. For Bijoy it was also important that everyone in Ritwick family not only accepted Sona, but they praised and held her at high esteem. This for Bijoy is his achievement.

What Bijoy had not bargained for is his daughters real feelings being stronger. That is to say that he underestimated her love for Dev. Sonakshi ran to Dev as soon as she saw him in that kind of pain. But after she realized what she had done and what her father thought of her, she became remorseful. She resolved not to do anything that would give pain to Bijoy. When she saw Ishwari herself beg her to marry Dev, she thought Ishwari has wholeheartedly accepted her. That she will be held in high esteem and Bijoy will be what he was before. i.e he will not feel insulted and hurt. She was trying to redeem herself in Bijoy's eyes. But what happened was completely different. Where she didn't expect resistance, she faced it from all sides. She definitely had good intentions for everyone at IN, but the others had a mind of their own. They also had their own thoughts and expectations for which Sonakshi was unprepared.

This was not something that Bijoy had ever prepared her for. To get up and try again. To accept her mistakes and learn from them. The result was the separation. Ever since then Sonakshi has firmly believed that her baba was always right. That Dev was never the right guy for her. That she doesn't need him in her life and she is complete without him. Bijoy has constantly reinforced this belief to the extent that she thinks it will be a mistake if she even thinks about love. That that is not for her. I made the mistake once and will not repeat it is how she is thinking. Here too Bijoy is playing a huge role by telling her that Dev's remarriage will be good for everyone. The way he is putting it across to her is that finally she will have her independence and will not feel bound to her heart. The more Bijoy continues this vein, the more Sonakshi will become disconnected and disillusioned and her heart will start to assert itself. She is not completely disillusioned at this time, but is on her way.

As Dev said, it takes courage to get back on the same horse after falling off from his back. In the Shimla episode before the final fight and makeup, they have a conversation where Dev talks about Sonakshi and his wife as 2 different person. Says his wife is beautiful but wears boring chudidaars, but she was hot. She also gets into it and tries to tell him that his wife is better than her. He goes on to say that she doesn't know his wife and "woh mere peeche padgayi thi. Meri engagement main aakar talli hogayi aur tamasha kiya". This is what they are going to show. Her dress is very similar to the dress she wore in that episode.

Thanx shavi for clearing my doubt ...I am bit selfish here to ask you such questions as I feel very much connected to sona's character ...and this helps me to mould myself...and I agree with your viewpoint with bijoy but van really father be that insensitive towards her pain...in yesterday's epi in dinner scene he thought that it was anger made sona leave the table ...but not pain...I know I am returning to square one but I really find it difficult to digest

Actually why are the makers always doing this with Sona? During the infertility track, we all felt they will give importance to her emotions and how both of them would overcome that phase. There also they disappointed us without giving us a proper emotional breakdown of Sona. Everything was focused on Ishwari.

Then comes this track. Where we all felt we will get to see how she shared her struggles of the past 7years with Dev and why she fears to come back to him. But, no...with just two monologues they have closed it and now focusing on Dev's emotions.

As a woman, didn't Mrs. Patnaik feel it as a responsibility to show what all has a single woman go through such phases, due to a wrong decision by both parties, thus educating the society to think twice before jumping into such harsh decisions? Or does she feel showing the weak side of a woman is not a right thing? Just my take. Couldn't control myself, as we all had once felt that this show was close to reality.

One other thing I wanted to add. In the episode where Sonakshi cries in front of Dev's photo and mamaji comes to talk to her she says "kisi aur ka chaand mera suraj kaise banpayega". In last friday's episode, when Dev comes down clean shaven and in suit, Ishwari remarks that he was her "suraj" and hoped that he would "shine" like that always. All Sonakshi needs to do is open her eyes and see that Dev is no longer the moon she thinks, but is the "SUN" now.

Hi every one!!! Finally I get time to put my thoughts which I want to put from last 2 days. There is so much discussion on the current track and about sona. First I want to put the my thoughts related to dev and sona both because for me both are same at the core.Both loved their family and both have to take care of them at every situation. Dev has to do this as due to the poor financial status and also because of his mother's expectation. Due to the strong influence of his mother and due to her insecurities and fear she don't allow him to grow as a or as a man and want she should be most important person in her life.

Now coming to sona she belongs to the typical middle class family with high morals. She was the younger child in the family but as the dada's image of failed son some where forced her to become perfect daughter in her father's eyes. Just like dev who was the perfect son for Ishu mata. Unless and until they don't fall in the love with each other on their parents end every thing was ok. But the moment they decide some thing for them their parents was not happy with their choices. Honestly If bijoy was suppose to choose the life partner for sona then it must not be the dev for sure. Because dev and his family are not perfect from his point of view and he is the perfect person in every situation which was not true but his family never tell this thing openly. In the same way due to some reason if Ishu has to search the bride for dev Ishu mata the sona was not suppose to her choice. So in short both the parents first choice must not be dev and sona. I know some of you will say that Bijoy was initially supported sona and dev but he suppprted because he try to trust the her decision and accept her just like initially Ishu try to adjust with sona but fail. In the same way Bijoy also try to accept the dev but fail as the ishu show her displeasure regards to sona. In the initially sona had sensed the Ishu's displeasure and try to tell this to dev but dev was not ready to listen and to be very honest he was not ready to see the gray side of his mother and as a result of that he was not able to take the corrective majors which will control the situation and forced to make a breakup. The same happens with sona she was broken by the breakup but here her father was not allowing her to weak and for the families happiness she try to move ahead and say yes to marriage for the sake of her family just like Dev. So they both give the preference to their family. Dev was actually felt like dying but next day he was not able to take the decision that he will try to get sona back in his life. Same is with sona he understands her love for the dev but she was more worried for her family and for her baba and his expectation from her. Ishu and Asha has pushed them to get married and they agree due to the fear of losing them. Asha was having an idea that Ishu has not accepted sona whole heartedly. But she trust their love but their trust was already broken so the external factor always have the impact on their relation. They both give the preferences to their families expectations and responsibilities outcome their relation get broken due to these factors. In S1 Both dev and sona for most of the times Ishu's son and Bijoy's daughter. At the end of the s1 Dev get jorake zataka and forsed to undertand that his mother is not god after this realization their was a long time from which he get the time for the introspection and at the same time sona was forced to transform herself in the BD as she was feeling guilty and responsible for what ever after 5 crs. fiasco. For her changed dev dixit was a complete surprise as I always have the sympathy for dev and I know he has done the mistakes but what he is at that point it was not his entire fault at the same way how sona is their before and right now is not her entire fault. We can't choose the parents and family in which we are going be born. Over the period of time the sona inside her come out especially after their farmhouse visit where she accepted her fault and they both accepted their. From now soha is changing but due to the external factors like baba bose she is swinging between the dev's sona and from BD as mention by @samanalyse that she is now swings between the two roles but as she is getting the idea about the how baba bose is the perfect one the role of BD started her irritating and her fight between the mind and brain is going to start and it will get increased as she have the feel that she is going to lose dev. In case of dev for the first time dev wanted to be with sona for their and he is ready to fight with her fear of failing . Initaliy I feel as said by @samanalyse he only want to hear that "muze feark padata he " but now from last two episodes the is deterimined to get her back and this will be first step to their successful relationship in future. In the past he get the sona back but he has not done any extra efforts but now he is putting that he is doing all this thing for him and sona and this will help sona to put the trust on him and honestly I like this dev but at the same time I am worried about sona and dev. To be more about the sona I am sure her breakdown is going to make us cry as she is holding so much for a long time. She forget to live for herself and baba bose is making the things more difficult. But as said by @shaavi more he will show his happiness towards dev's marriage she is going to be more pushed on the situation where she will blast she will have the lonely feeling that no one cared for her and her happiness this will help her to blast but at the same time she will required a lot of support and care and love from the dev. I hope this time dev will not disappoint me. This time when sona will break down dev required to be firm on his feet and hold her like he hold her when their was an earthquake. Honestly I want the sona's breakdown but at the same time I want dev should stop this game at the correct time. If he do this at the correct moment and take the appropriate decision then he can give the confidence to the sona that he can become the sun for her when ever it is required. After today's episode why I feel that dev had already communicated with nisha and she knows the plan. Is this possible? But still I want he should stop before putting the ring as his own decision and mean while without knowing the current development sona can have a breakdown. I think she will faint due to the breakdown and will be unconscious for some time and one more request to cv's please send the baba bose to some other city for one and two days so dev and sona can have the proper communication with each other after the breakdown. Lets see what happens.
