Either my life experience is below average that I fail comprehend Dev or the makers have made a piecemeal and are trying to superglue Dev and Sona's relationship. The sad thing is they promised honest real show and I got sucked in :-(

HI Jigsaw. So many people wonder if Dev really loves Sona.Even Sona isn't sure. But Dev was talking about Sona to preethi.but when he changed his words to make it sound as if he meant those words for Soha,we could clearly see the disappointment in Sona's face. She does not want him to get back with her for the sake of Soha.Which is probably why she returned back to kolkatta after coming till IN.Due to his rejection.Same with Dev.He isnt showing any inclination of getting back with Sona even after knowing about her coming back mainly because he doesn't know if she came back for her husband or her child's father. He wants his wife back too.But he isnt sure if she want her husband back. The way he raised his hand towards her after that office confrontation shows this doubt that he has.
That balcony scene is the first instance in S2 where Sona mellowed down in front of her ex-husband.Or showed that she still needed him.He knows this too.Imagine what would happen if he use this oppurtunity.Would she really trust him. Will she really be sure if he want his wife back or just want her for the sake of soha.He just threw her off the track with that stupid trick. For now his focus is Soha.He went back to win her over.Once he succeeds in gaining Soha's acceptance ,he will be back to Sona.To win back his ex wife.To let her know how much he needs his wife

They need each other. They need patience and time to rebuild their trust.By not giving into that one moment of weakness that Sona gave away he is doing just that .Buying time to deal with soha and sona fairly. In a very very strange manner.that tying up thing was a good move.In the short run it may look like unfair treatment. But in the long run it would be very much fair for Sona.
ps:please do not think of me as a psycho. When friday's precap was aired people thought Dev was playing Sona /pretending he is in love with her to be with Soha.By going away from there he avoided Sona too from thinking in that manner

@ jigzaw ... yeahh both dev n sona r insecure. Actually everyone is insecure in one way or the other , if u examine closely but there's a limit & if it exceeds that limit, it'll become toxic as v can c in the case of ishwari.
Dev is very emotional , mentally weak n very naive person. I think dev fails to understand sona as she's no interference for his bonding with soha bcoz of his inability to change his highly insecured mother. May b he's comparing these 2 , the once most imp ladies in his life ( he still considering them as same b4 , v never know but may b this time more priority to his tiny miny khargosh, soha )

He's " the dev dixit " so he find it difficult to beg to sona for his daughter but same time he wants sona to beg for help . yeahh that's him... the difficult man to deal with ! But don u remember , the same dev went to sona's house after midnight after asha's bday celebration , jst to decode her "H " message .

Kuch rang interpretations ke aise bhi 😃

Hi all, I am back again.😆... This being a free and relaxed Holi-day and no work to do, I re-watched Friday's episode and here are my two cents in few points.

1. So, I have confessed earlier in this thread that Dev's act of tying Sona's hands did leave me disturbed at that moment, though I could understand he did still love Sona somewhere (and so did she) and he left his balcony door open as an emergency exit to mitigate any accident.

There were many ways to show tashan, there were many ways to keep Sona away from Soha to win an exclusive Dev-Soha time, why did he do this, tying her hands... out of all the things? The answer to the problem lies in the problem itself.

In that scene, before leaving Dev said to Sona, "Kaise bhul gyi tum? Mai Dev Dixit hu, mai kuch bhi kar sakta hu." Here he seems to be emphasizing the fact that Sona already knew that he, being Dev Dixit, could do anything, just Anything. If Sona believed that he could be ruthless enough to render his wife's family homeless in the middle of the night over a family issue, then she should not be surprised with this ruthless form of his. These words of Dev, like double edged sword, are hurting him as well as Sona at the same time.

2. Next I move on to Suhana. How did miss her expression!😲 When she saw her mom and dad playing basketball together, she was stunned beyond measure. (Friday's epi - 18:43 min). She never thought she would ever see her mom and dad in one frame, especially when Sona is held by Dev. She could not believe her eyes. I wonder if this would trigger the KKHH thing in her mind, especially when Golu still insists on calling Sona his BigChi. As Dev had said 'Naam badalne se, rishta to nhi badal jayge na!'😉 (So what, if they call each other 'Ex'; the rishta/love is still there😛😆)

3. I find parallel between Golu making Soha believe that Mr. Dixit is a superman himself and Sona of the past believing that Dev was her prince charming/knight in shining armour; a fairy tale that they both had always wished for.

Here Soha is saying to Golu that she doesn't believe that Mr. Dixit could do all those stunts, but she seemed happy imagining Dev as her superhero, her smiles when Golu narrated the tales. Something bad is going to happen in the camp, thanks to Ex-GKB and her red. Would Dev living up to the expectations? Not only Dev, I am interested to watch what role Sonakshi plays in the time of crisis.

Also, I have this strange feeling that the 'created' accident would have something to do with the broken doorknob in Sona's balcony. Would wait and watch.😉

4. Last but not the least, Elena.

Elena was always a caring and affectionate sister to Sona. She was her confidante, best friend and played a role in realization of Sona's love for Dev. After the separation, they lost contact for seven years; however Dev and Elena have developed an adorable brother-sister relation. I always wondered how could Elena stand Vicky even for a day, knowing how dirty he played to separate her sister and her jiju.

In her fight with Vicky, she almost told him that she would have left him long before if they didn't have Golu. Somewhere, I have a feeling that Elena stayed on also because she saw what Golu meant to Dev. Elena was never a person who would think twice before putting her foot down. She too could have easily walked away with her son. She thought she was standing up for her love when she eloped with Vicky, in spite of repeated warnings of her sister. Then the man she loved separated the couple she played cupid to in the most ruthless manner.

Elena always adored Dev and Sona as a couple as well as, as individuals. At their separation, she must have felt torn between Dev and Sona, and with the role of her husband even guilty and heavy. She knew Sona had a loving, caring and supporting family to put together her broken pieces. But Dev had no such person in his life, he was living a shallow life in his own house. Maybe she stayed on for sake of Sona's love for Dev and Dev's Sona. I wish she had done something to re-unite them much earlier. But at least she let a lease of new life in Dev through Golu. It would be interesting how her character unfolds.

Wow! that was a long post😆... Thanks for reading. And Happy Holi!😊

Still it is related to the insecurities of the Ishu mainly but I think they have added Bijoy's aspect also. so Dev and sona are going to be together as first as mother and father and the as lovers and afterwords as husband and wife in season two and they are not going to show the old mistakes are repeated by the leads. and My take on the anger on the sona as a lover and wife is Dev always feel they sona knows him too well even more then Ishu so he was expected that she will not leave him as she know that he cannot survived without her which is known to her that why he always asks her to not to leave her before there marriage and after marriage. Actually when he choose sona over Ishu that was the big thing for him. In his entire life he has choose the relation another then his mother so he was expecting that she will understand it and will be with him. But actually it was too late. Sona never wants this kind of situation first she was expecting the support form dev which at import point dev fail due to gave which is very well known to dev and he knows the reasons for it that's why he has draw the line between his mother. Other than anger it was disappointment. and sona was angry because she have an hope that after some time after the anger get cooled down dev will come. The main problem is dev was expecting that sona will not leave him and soan was expecting that he will come back to her. and this was pretty clear from the flower story. I hope one day they will understand what they have lost due to this mess. and understand their mistakes because I feel both have made mistakes as husband and wife. Dev has done more but some mistakes are from sona's side also. Because of the there mistakes they allow there parents to play will there relation by the name of insecurity and pride.

It's funny that even after 7 years Dev still has expectations from Sona though they not having any relationship as such and doesn't have any expectations from Ishwari though still having a relation with her.I want to see how Dev wins Sona's trust again it would be interesting. And his flirting is soon going cost him as Jatu is still very much in the picture 😆

Was watching last week episodes once again...Two different scenes made me think if his 2 important ladies had behaved in the same way as the two little munchkins behaved, how peaceful and blessed would have been the Dev Dixit, who instead lost everything while 2 ladies had some gain - Ishwari got her daughters settled and Sona got Soha. Considering Golu as Ishwari & Soha as Sona, let's decode those 2 scenes as below:

1. The scene where Soha gets injured.
Here, even when Ishwari tries to blame Golu for not taking care of Soha, it is to be noticed that Dev didn't side Golu or Soha on who was responsible for Soha's chot. Instead we see, Golu saying sorry to his Bigcha and that because of him his sister got injured and later says sorry to Suhana. To which Soha replies that she is also at fault as she was the one who didn't hear to Maasi & Cool dadu's words and says Sorry to Golu. How simply they solved a situation, which otherwise would have hurt the other, if Dev took side of any of them...Aise unka maa aur biwi bhi soch liya hoga tho, hamara Dev ko itna sehna nahi pada.

2. Throwing the basketball in the ring.
Just before this scene, we see Golu had boasted to his friends what a superman his Bigcha was, in a same way how Ishwari used to take pride of her Raja beta. So now as the teacher calls out Dev for his turn, he becomes nervous as he was not sure he could win the game. And if he failed, he will be hurting both his munchkins. Now, let's see how the 2 helped him to win the game. Golu, by reminding Dev of Bigchi (his love) and what all he had boasted about BigCha to impress Soha (his life), motivates him to achieve the target, while Soha boosts Dev's confidence by wishing him all the best and saying he will win. And later we see both Soha & Golu cheering him up together. Finally Dev wins, keeping Golu's image intact in front of Soha & his friends and at the same time proving to Soha that her belief in him didn't go in vain. Another lesson for Sona-Ishwari to learn how each could support Dev in achieving what the other wanted from him.

In both these incidents Dev didn't have to stand for any one. Vo donom apne samajdhaari se dusre ko aur Dev ko support kiya. And that is what it should have been in Ishwari-Dev-Sona relationship too!!!

Tiara...another thoughtful analysis, especially the part on Elena-Dev relation. Adding to it, i think one more reason why she didn't leave the Dixit house is because she didn't want to be a burden, especially after knowing that she was pregnant, to the Bose family who were already going through a tough situation.

Wow, interesting... 👍🏼 There is a lot to be learnt from these kids...

BTW, your words 'Ishwari-Dev-Sona relationship' is giving me vibes of some love triangle...😆😆 (and you can't really blame me for that😛... yeh sab Sona ki galti h😆)

Thank you Grace 😊 I am glad it made some sense.

Yup, maybe she din't want to be a burden. But when Golu was born and she started having a career after completing her education, she still stayed on. I wish CVs shed some light on her take on Dev-Sona relationship as well. Also, we don't know the dynamics (or change in dynamics) between Elena's parents and Sona's parents.
