I mainly post on Tia thread but today I want to post here only because I loved loved and loved today's episode everything
I loved sonakshi as mother and Dev as father and devakshi as lover as from sona side she knows that Dev can't do wrong but can do anything in wrong influence and Dev was hurt by sona word
Now I on!Y want one thing that somehow we get clue that Dev has tried to contact sona or helped her like in recent Ramayana they have shown how ram asked Hanuman to be with sita without sits knowledge and asked him not to even give any information about her to him

Why there is always a Need or a REMINDER call to Dev that he wont be a gud father?? Hw cme its decided in a span of 3 days ...n who Judged it without him been given his so called Authority to even prove it!!! Funny he wasnt aware of his daughters existence..n now they are tabs on his each n every" Emotions " that he would be sharing with his kid

Im in a minority today but Im disappointed with the episode ,with some remarks made by Bijoy n deliberate instigation by Sonakshi in the beginning with the" permission thing" was too farfetched n in a bad taste...!

Wat surprised me is the declaration...That he wasnt aware of 6 yrs of his kid n is solely responsible for it!Really...n he took the ownership of it..Tats what Dev is all about...He owned it despite of his no fault!

Hi All,

I'm a new fan, posting for the first time, although I've read this thread and all the entries and thoroughly enjoyed them for a long while.

Thank you all!😊

Does anyone have thoughts on the *significance* if any of the absence of the prenup from the current situation, the 'new agreement' being drawn up by Sonakshi and Dev almost signing without reading it as Sona observed and pointed out (his blind and deep faith in both the women he loved most in the past comes to mind...Ishwari got him to sign it to safeguard her family's wealth, Sona, to keep Soha safeguarded from Ishwari's possible plots in future).

I am curious to hear some of your thoughts.

Thank you again- this the only thread I read avidly for the balanced views and counter views, and learn a lot from it as well!

Glad you enjoy the posts.

This was definitely a very clear parallel between what Ishwari did and what Sona here did. Dev was made to sign something he doesn't agree in principle. In case of prenup, he never for a minute thought Sona was marrying him for his wealth and yet his signatures ended up on that piece of paper.

Here too, he doesn't believe it he is responsible and yet again his signatures ended on this paper.

The difference is in execution. This time he knows what he has signed. Sona should have mentioned to him he is so gullible. His own family have been fooling him.

PS: I was always in favour of the prenup except for the child agreement. And even this time I am in favour of this agreement minus the bit where Dev alone is held responsible for why he wasn't in soha's life for 6 years. Such contracts help complicated situations. Dev trusts people too easily and I hope this will help devakshi safeguard their daughter from the Dixits and Boses tug of war

Today's episode was just fitting.. just the push needed for the reality checks to happen(hopefully) in the near future. I liked the hop between the talks of Elena-Vicky and Devakshi. For a change Elena and Dev were right to some extent in their situations. For the first time sourabh had the courage to stand upto his father to his flaws. (hope ronitha will be a catalyst in maintaining this.)
I was rolling my eyes at Dev and rubbed my ears when Dev said "baba" to Bijoy. And the best part was bijoy did not take this seriously. This episode showed a teeny weeny growth in Dev and equally small flaw in Sonakshi's approach. I am not siding Dev for coming through the window but jo aadmi apne hi ghar mein biwi se milne chor ki tarah deewar khoodke aa sakta hai woh bhala apni beti ke liye kyu nahi karega?😆😉. By the way they showed the played the same old devakshi bgm(courtship time) when he met his daughter. My heart fluttered listening to it.

I also agree that the agreement was made for Ishwari and not for Dev. Sonakshi knew the roots very well but she is not aware of the change in dynamics between the mother son duo. But an official agreement is something deep just as the prenup was. Dev was the scapegoat in both where both his ladies did not trust his love. Dev was really affected by Sona's stinging words especially the 'biological'part. It struck the cord. Many may tell Dev deserved it for what he did but how much more to be filled in this 'deserve'? isn't it time to stop that and start encouraging him to be a good father and prove Sonakshi's words wrong?
Dev's real intention to bring soha was to show what that little cracker is actually made of?😆baaton se kaam nahi chalega to movie hi dikha dete hai 😆His reactions in the precap were like 'now the game begins😆' ab pata chalega kya cheez hai meri beti..a hard nut to crack..a pure mixture of Devakshi..

Hi Mehraan. Today's episode portrayed the true feelings of most of the characters. What Sonakshi said and did today is a prelude to a lot of things that are yet to come. Same goes for Bijoy, Dev, Saurabh and Elena.

Sonakshi said that Dev is not a good father and does not know his responsibilities. Before leap in one of the episodes after the infertility issue, Bijoy reprimands Dev about his responsibilities towards Sonakhshi and Dev replies that he knows his responsibilities well and that Bijoy should remember that Sonakshi was his wife now not just his daughter. The same applies here too upto a certain extent. Sonakshi said that Dev was just biologically Soha's dad, but was a stranger to her. Here she tried to present that his being there was not so important to Soha. Especially since Dev had revealed that he came there for Ishwari.

Sonakshi does not know the changed equation between Dev and Ishwari. She did the exact same thing she did 7 years ago, when Dev said he has taken the decision to be with her and that his maa had asked him, she thought he took that decision only for his mother and not by himself. So Sona's reasoning is based on Ishwari's words regarding asal and sood and then Dev coming to get Soha. Right now Sona is very insecure, but does not want to show that to Dev. Also she is trying to reiterate SOha's picture of "perfect dad" and remind him of Bijoy as her ideal. She was indirectly telling him to be like Bijoy.

But the problem is Dev is not Bijoy. He will never do things the way Bijoy does or did. But he never highlighted it either. He never really took Bijoy's insults to heart but respected him. Sonakshi is torn between what she is seeing, hearing to what she thinks she knows. She finding it hard to decide who is telling the truth.

Other than that Sonakshi is scared too. She knows Dev is a very good person and has seen Soha liking him. She dreads the "what if" scenario. She feels that just like how she fell in love with him(which she considers as a mistake), Soha will like him too and call him "papa" in no time. She dreads that if that happens then there is a possibility that she will lose Soha not because Dev took away Soha forcefully, but Soha wanted to go with Dev. Hence Sonakshi wants to keep reiterating that Dev is not and will not be a good dad to Soha as a way of convincing herself and also Bijoy that their fears are not real...

Hope I made sense. 😊

The last few lines reminded me of ish. She was always insecure about sonas goodness! Is the same happening here?

The agreement is more for keeping ish in control rather than dev as she does not know about the changed dynamics between mother & son.

it is really hard to not compare the scenes which we saw today. In one scene elena was telling how grateful she that golu has got dev's values.that vicky could never love golu like dev.golu loves dev more than vicky.on the other hand dev had to sign a HUMILIATING agreement to take soha home.i wouldn't argue about the necessity of that agreement.
I hate to compare 2 entirely different people going through entirely different situations. But Dev already proved to me that he is better than Bejoy. He swallowed his pride ,ego whatever to sign that agreement.i'am not sure that is something Bejoy could ever do.plus he is actually trusting sona with such an agreement.again something quite difficult for bejoy

Today GKB's dialogue of her feel of time turning back for how it was before 7 years ago reminded me of Dev's words when the jhula was removed from his room. He also had remarked that "lagta hai meri life reverse gear mein jhaa rahi hai".
Looks like today is the first episode of things going back to referring the events of 7 years before...😃

It's always a good idea to read the (over)reactions on the forum before you watch the episode. You are so ready to see something horrible that you end up enjoying it much more than you would have otherwise! 😆

Just a few random thoughts:
Today I really enjoyed the tashan becasue both Dev and Sona were prepared for it and gave their best. It wasn't one of them completely steamrollering the other, and they both had valid points and questions. I am very, very glad someone finally sought legal help in this situation, and the agreement also seemed fair, except for the clause that Dev had to take responsibility for not knowing of Soha's existence. That was really a low blow as many of you have pointed out. I love the way Dev glanced up at her when he read that, but her mask was on overdrive and her face inscrutable.

Sona made me go through a roller-coaster of emotions today. I was really proud that she empowered herself through the law, but her refusal to admit her role in this situation is getting a little scary for me. Like I have mentioned before, what I wanted most from Sona was an acknowledgment that she deliberately concealed Soha from Dev. If you make a decision, own it and fight for your right to have made it, given the circumstances you were in at that time. The way she is victimising herself in this particular situation doesn't sit well with me; that is not the sign of an empowered person. BUT I loved the part where she insisted that Dev read the papers. In that moment, I could see a glimpse of the Sona who knew Dev's weaknesses -- as she told Asha later, his lack of control on his emotions -- and pre-empted them intelligently.

You guys have written wonderfully about the Vicky-Elena/Dev-Sona parallels in that amazing scene, so I won't get repetitive. One thing it did hint to me, though, is that Dev's relationship with Golu is going to play a huge role in changing Sona's perception of Dev. He doesn't have to become a good father, he already is one. It's interesting that she told him he would never be a good father, because it echoes his last words to her at the farmhouse. Little did he know that tiny-embryo-Soha was already contradicting his words. Here, Golu is a similar secret for Sona to discover

Saurabh's confrontation with his father was the highlight of today's episode for me. He's for Bijoy what Neha was to Ishwari in S1, and I think you all know how much I loved Neha. 😆 I really liked how Suarabh stood up especially for Sona's right to make her own decisions. I am interested to see what Ronita's reaction will be. When Bijoy said this might break the rishta, what exactly did he mean? The fact that they were fighting or that Ronita went home? The fact that they were dealing with Sona's messy ex problems? Or just that the fact that the facade of perfection broke? I remember the way Bijoy acted when the Mandals came over -- all sugar and honey. Is he that scared of not appearing perfect?

I am excited for what's to come! Why do I have a feeling tomorrow's comment from Soha will lead to another lesson of doing things purely for happiness rather than function? It echoes the time Soha asked why Dev came to drop Golu off everyday -- they did it because it was their tradition and it made them happy.

Thank you for responding DQ! I agree there was a stark difference in execution, Sona was honest and upfront, and Ishwari obtained Dev's signature on the sly, knowing he was dead against it. I also think Sona is safeguarding Soha from a plausible Dixit-Bose tug of war. Even though she hurt Dev, this agreement will hopefully help Dev take a stand against and Dixit/Ishwari behaviors that may hurt Soha...so in effect, help Dev become a better father and help Dev-Sona together protect their daughter. Part of me feels that Sona is also helping Dev intentionally with this as a motivator, because she knows his family and his past tendency to be emotionally swayed by them. I believe that she is scared of losing her daughter too, but she also wants Dev and Soha's relationship to be strong, just like her own is with Bijoy, even though her approach seems harsh.

In contrast, based on past events, Ishu never wanted Dev and Sona's relationship to be strong...and the closer they got, the more threatened she felt.

I was never in favour of the original prenup, but I am wondering if it will ever come to light, or just be forgotten? That clause about the child is also important I'd think. Does Sona already know or suspect that Dev signed those papers without knowing what they were??
