BTW, Besan halwa is a very common place rajasthani/pakistani sweet. I make it very often and its very yummy. Though Ishwari has spoiled its impressionðŸ˜
I am wondering why i lack empathy for sobbing crying souls?/ Is it coz I perceive it as weakness or coz of the sense of entitlement it gives such people to release undeserved venom on the strong ones.
It is one thing for some women to face mental/physical abuse and continue to tolerate it in hopes of better tomorrow or because it is so much less work to tolerate abuse from family then from the rest of the world Some of them do get lucky, and might get to see a better more equal partnership in later years. Some continue to struggle and die struggling..
But the question is why oh why must we not be able to see the blatant wrongs. Ishwari is from patriarchal setup-I get it. She hasn't seen successful professional women in her close circle Hence she is unable to relate to Sona's independence and a feeling of healthy business competition against Dev.
Dev too a product of this set up and hence behaves how he behaves.
But why should we justify/empathise with the above clearly regressive/outdated thoughts?
Now I see a demand for Sonakshi's vulnerability show.. why? Strength has its own back story. It has its own beauty.
If I want something, I'll try hard to get it by just means, not whine... Whining is for beggars, not for people believing in hard work...
rant over... I was not as unhappy with serial as with some thoughts from fellow members. Of we empathise with this incorrect thought process, we are not doing any favor to the struggle of millions of feminists who advocate equality.
