Thanks for reading and appreciating. You have the courage to watch the insult scenes, I do not. My SOP these days is to read online updates and skip the unpalatable scenes. I really do not know why CVs insert such scenes in such a show. In other shows they love humiliating the FL, I thought this show was above putting in scenes which invoke only negative emotions and can be avoided/toned down without impacting the story line. Of course all of us want Mami ji and Vicky to shut up knowing that she is Dev's choice but as a woman it would be even more gratifying for me to see the FL deal with the situation herself without losing her dignity

Yes, it did pinch when they didn't show Dev's reaction BUT, but he was really unwell and it's understandable that he wasn't able to process his surroundings in that state. His stern look in the previous episode has reinstated my faith in him standing up for Sonakshi when it matters.
Let us hope he does. I know he does not think much of mami himself and just wants to avoid a scene with her. Again my view is that they just need to tone down mami's scenes. How he balances Ish and Sona is the right thing to show, why introduce mami insult and Dev reaction scenes? Just degrades all the characters needlessly

Erica stole the show yesterday. Her breakdown is the most real scene of KRPKAB. And that's saying something, coz this show is packed with so many realistic scenes.

Completely agree. It is good to see the actors getting good work and scope to showcase their craft and coming through with such flying colours...I hope they see the online viewership and popularity and feel motivated to put in the effort all this must take. I am sure it is not easy to emote day after day in a daily soap. Especially a show like this which is mostly sensible and requires actors to do their bit in every episode since all the episodes aim to be good. In most shows, most episodes are so substandard that the performance of the actors hardly matters

I think almost all of us have had this sort of reaction when our significant others tease us that we dont care enough for them. Her dialogue ' Don't ever fall sick again' was too cute! I think the insults hurled at her throughout the day took their toll on her as well, it was evident from her expressions, but she didn't tell him about it. It was endearing to watch Dev's expressions.

The entire scene was great. Dev's endearing rant, her breaking down, his reaction to it (initially so subtle but you could immediately tell that he was moved by how hurt she was) and finally him consoling her so adorably for not being able to take care of him! It is the first time that Dev has consoled Sona and it was a treat to watch. Yes, earlier he took care of her during the accident track and called her from outside her house to ask why she was upset but nothing like this. I really want to see more of this and for some genuine problems at her end...

Coming to your post, like I have mentioned in my previous posts also, when Dev told Sonakshi there is no reason why his family would say no, they have always supported him. He was reassuring himself more than Sonakshi. He is subconsciously scared that that might not be the case, his mother may not approve. Another reason may be, he has always been the provider of the family. For the first time he's gonna ask for something, for himself. Maybe that's why he feels hesitant. Ishwari has instilled it in his mind that he is the one who gives, doesn't ask.

Yes, poor guy. He deserves his treat, his chocolate Sona :) It is sad to see him fear not being able to get the one thing he cannot live without

P. S: was I the only one who was scared after Neha's scene yesterday? Guess we called her very matured a bit early!

The whole Neha - Ranveer angle is something I cannot relate to. It is not a real situation in my view. She is the sister of a guy who is among the 500 richest guys in India apparently and is married off to a guy from such an average financial background? Atleast Sona's home environment seems quite comfortable, his is just too far away from hers. Even if I were to accept that she fell in love with Ranveer, such a hasty marriage and cavalier treatment of the difference in stations (including by the sensible Sona) is not credible. As a result all the issues arising from their relationship are beyond me..

Sorry for the late response. Got busy with work. :)

@ Ruchi , @ small wonder
I know the forum is divided on this but my personal view is that informing within a month of commencing a romantic relationship is not a real delay...these are very private emotions of a grown up man and even in such a close relationship he is allowed some leeway to explore the workings of his heart...

I feel bad for him that there are such heavy expectations on him to come clean and seek approval even when he has time and again shown that he is a very responsible person who does not take selfish decisions..

There was a point when i thought Dev took her consent for granted..Assumed she will support him either ways hence the hesitation..But then now i almost feel like he knows she wont be happy at a subconscious level..He seems to be oblivious to the extent of her obsession but he probably does understand some of it at a subconscious level..Which is probably why he wants to avoid the confrontation as much as he can. And Ishwari's behavior makes it worse..It almost looks like Dev fell out of love with her and found another girlfriend for himself so she looks at it as him cheating on her and hence is in denial and doesn't want to confront the truth 😆 I know this sounds twisted and convoluted but Ishwari is way too emotionally invested in Dev to the point of insanity that him having a girlfriend is looked at as cheating and infidelity😆 And like most women (who are victims of adultery), she shifts the blame on the third party..That my husband is pious and pure but this girl seduced him and took him away 😆 Am oversimplifying it here but that is exactly how it looks like..And Dev probably understands her at a subconscious level hence the hesitation 😆
P.S. Bless Sonakshi..She knows the family is complicated but she really has no idea what she is getting herself into 😆

Excellent analysis. This is exactly what I had concluded too. But then.. We will wait and watch...

Call it instinct or sixth sense or subconscious mind or gut feeling. Whatever that is, it's a powerful thing. Strong signals from it can't be ignored. I think Dev in heart of hearts knows that all will not be well once he comes out with his relationship with Sonakshi. He might not know the reason but he might be sensing it. Hence the hesitation. Remember, he once told Sonakshi, after meeting her family. Aap ki family achchi hain. Normal hain. Meri family complicated hain.

And yes, I don't think he is going to say anything on Monday. Maybe he will change his mind or some work related call or someone might come to interrupt the conversation.

Agree, all of these thoughts may be present at the back of his mind. Once he reveals he has to face the real world.

I wish the creatives had inserted at least one scene in which they talk about how her family will react. I do not like this assumption that only his family matters. It could have been something as simple as saying that her parents prefer a Bengali boy but at the same time they have time and again stressed that if she makes a sensible choice, they will be happy for her.
