August 4th Update

Anandhi and Bharathy travelling in an auto searching for Karthik. They stop in between and ask passer by's if they have seen a mentally disturbed person and they reply in the negative. After many questions, like this they see Karthik being teased by another person. They take him to a restaurant and Anandi feeds Karthik. Bharathy says that they now have to find a place for him as the home will not take Karthik back

Abhi, Anu, Mano in their home and Abhi is asking her mother if the food is ready. Karpagam says soon and is coming out carrying a plate of rice and the next thing we see is the plate being dropped on the floor. Anandhi has just come in with Karthik. Karpagam shouts at Anandhi how dare you bring him here especially after he has ruined your life. Anandhi says that she feels guilty as she is partly responsible for Karthik's position today and all she is doing is showing some concern for a helpless person. She says that he does not have a place to live and she had no choice but to bring him to her home. She says that both his parents and wife are now dead and his sister Sujatha is now abroad. Karpagam swears that if Karthik stays she will go. Anandhi just walks out with Karthik. Abhi who has been quiet so far follows Anandhi. She tells Anandhi that she understands her position and takes her and Karthik back into the house.

Bangalore Station

Chittappa and Satish are waiting at the station waiting for some person called Jayaram. Chittappa is boasting that with the help of this Jayaram fellow he is going to make lots of money and with that money he will build a palatial home in Chitti's name then only will she respect him. Satish is complaining that he is hungry and at that moment an auto comes and out steps Jayaram. Jayaram says that he has found a house where they can conduct their business but says that he does not want to be involved in any of this. Satish is worried and Chittappa says that he will take care of things.

Chittappa and Satish coming out of a temple and decide to start their business. They start handing out pamphlets and soon there is a crowd coming in. There is lots of talk about this new business in the crowd.

Chittappa and Satish are now seated in front of a table and there is a big queue. A lady hands over some money and Chittappa asks her for her ration card. He says that legally he requires identification to conduct his business, I am law abiding and only if you have identification can I sell you anything. He refuses to accept money from a few people who do not have identification. He asks the helper to announce to the crowd that only if they have identification of a ration card or a driving licence would he be willing to conduct business with them. The helper announces this in Kannada. The crowd now starts dispersing. Satish is confused and wants to know why chittappa did this. Chittappa says that this is only to reinforce to the people that he is sincere and conducting business legally. Once people trust him they will all come back to him and he can then cheat them of their money. Chittappa asks Satish not to entertain people who seem clever and smart but to go after the people who are ignorant. He then asks Satish to go to the neighbouring village and spread the news about their business.

The crowd is now gathered again around chittappa. Chittappa is convincing some person to pay Rs 10,000 now and get delivery of a bike worth Rs 50,000 later on. He tells him that people in Kerala and Andhra know him very well and he has conducted his business there too. Suddenly chittappa sees a man alighting from a sumo. This man is Easwaran and he is asking another person for some address. Chittappa rushes to the vehicle but the Sumo is gone by the time he goes there. Satish asks what happened, Chittappa says that person in the Sumo looked like my long lost brother Easwaran. Satish says are you talking about Periappa, he says yes that person looked like Abhi's father….

August 7, 2006 - Monday updt

Scene 1:

A well-but-ill-fittingly-dressed Chithapa (looks like he came straight from the reception of Manjari) is seen on the streets of Bangalore, wondering to his no-good son if the person he saw getting in a car was his long lost brother Eashwaran. Prodigal son eagerly awaits judgement but Chithapa says, nah, it cannot be him; he was a loser and this man appeared prosperous. He then angrily questions Satish why he has not gone on his propoganda tour and Satish says he got a call asking for his dad. The cell phone rings and it is Saravanan, ex-partner of Chithapa. Saravanan mockingly questions abt Chithapa's new business venture and Chithapa says he is done with partnering and sharing the bounty. Now, it is all for himself and Saravanan threatens Chithapa that he will not tolerate being left alone. C says do what you want, I am a rowdy through and through and I have seen the likes of you ever since I started doing business. at least you shifted to fraudelent business just recently but all my businesses were based on fraud. Some heated words are exchanged and C cuts the phone.
He again yells at Satish who grabs the phone and runs away to the nearby villages to canvass.

Thols comes to see Rajamani madam. (he also looks like he came straight to work from Manjari's reception - the same black shirt) He says he has something business related to discuss but did not want to talk about it at work. He says the idea of buying these new apartments will not bode well for the company. Madam is real angry and upset and accuses Thols of acting against Abhi and the best interests of the company and feels that his hatred towards Basker has made him greedy for attention and hence his negative attitude. Thols tries to get a word in edgewise but Madam is relentless and says she trusts Abhi to do the right thing and the matter is closed. Thols is visibly upset that she has mistaken his good will and walks away, disgusted. (very soon, I see him walking away from abhi and gang, leaving the way clear for krishnan and basker and ganga...)

A temple - Eashwar, Kanchu, Kishore's parents are at the temple to pray with the first copy of the invitation. They admire the temple (it indeed looked nice) and while walking, Kanchu trips over a mEdai...and says, yEdhO thadukkudhu and Eashwar says dont be sentimental..and attach importance to your carelessness. They go inside the temple, perform the necessary archanais..Meanwhile, Chithapu, still dressed in his fineries..(believe me, this guy was wearing a red jarigai punjabi suit - looked very contrasting to his self). Just as we think that the two lost brothers are going to start singing 'naaLai namadhE' and hug each other, Satish enters again and asks his dad what is he doing here. Dad says he came to pray and Satish is of the opinion that what they are doing is fraud business and why to seek blessings for that? Chithapa says that is how it should be and walks out with him.
Once outside, he asks Satish to canvass again and they show a touring talkies open jeep with Satish and another worker, selling pigs...sorry they were saying 'banni banni' and passing out flyers for cheap products.

Meanwhile Eashwar and gang come out and they get in their SUV. While backing up, the driver hits an old man crossing and a crowd gathers. They talk in Kannada and refuse to allow Eashwar and gang take the old guy to the hospital. Satish observes this from his perched status and comes down to investigage and amicably solves the matter by letting his worker talk to the locals in their language and offering Rs.1000. The crowd disperses and Eashwar is full of praise for Satish. He wants to know abt the kulam and gothram of Satish and Satish says he is from Chennai too. Eashwar continues talking and Chithapa sees Satish talking to some guy but from his angle, he couldn't see Eashwar. He hides behind a jeep thinking Satish is in some trouble. Eashwar gives his business card to satish, gets up in the car and goes away. Chithapa could only see his forehead and then nothing. He comes walking by to Satish and tells him for a minute, he was disturbed that they were caught. Satish says he helped solved a problem and his dad tells him to concentrate on the job in hand and not to help others.
...they start to walk............

August 8th Update

Thols and Abhi in Abhi's office. Ganga is eavesdropping and listening to their conversation. Abhi is outraged that Thols went and spoke to Rajamani without coming to her first about the new project. Thols explains that she should not be offended and as he had a few reservations about the project he went and spoke to Rajamani about it. He says that of late she has surrounded herself with yes men and it was very difficult to get through to her. Abhi is still angry and keeps saying that he should have come to her first. Thols says that since Bhaskar has come into the office Abhi was not listening to anything he had to say. Abhi says that Bhaskar is just an employee like any other and since she had promised her dear departed FIL to take care of his family after his death, she was just fulfilling that promise. She goes one step further and says that she thinks that Thols is jealous of Bhaskar's presence in the office. Thols is furious at this and denies her charge. They argy bargy for some more time, Abhi finally says that he should not involve himself in any way in the new project. Ganga is delighted and gives an evil smile.

Thols goes into another room dejected and sad and of course our resident villi Ganga comes in to twist the knife. She tells Thols that Abhi has now changed a lot and he does not want to realise or recognise her changes. She says that after all this it is an insult for Thols himself if he continues to work in this office. Thols looks unsure.

Adhi with Giri in a restaurant

Ganga walks in to meet Adhi and Giri and tells them gleefully about all the latest happenings in Abhi constructions and says that the Thols-Abhi partnership looks very shaky now. Adhi of course is delighted. Ganga asks Adhi for money to start her own business. Adhi assures her that once Ganga breaks the Thols-Abhi partnership he will give her all the money she needs. He tells her that he would inform her when he wanted to meet up with Thols

Abhi's house

Karpagam is making coffee and Anu offers to serve it to everyone. She goes to give Karthik some coffee but the poor man has no clue what to do with it. She then thrusts the coffee into his hand and polambuls that Anandhi should be kicked for bringing people like him into their home. Karthik gets angry and throws the coffee at Anu. Anu of course cries out like some helpless female and everyone rushes in. Aarti sarcastically says that Anu has even managed to annoy a madman and that people like Karthik should be treated with lot of care and affection. Mano goes to hit her and tells Karpagam that she should talk to Anandhi and remove this madman from the house

Chittappa and Satish

Chittappa is greedily piling on the thiruttu panam. The old partner comes up to him, Chittappa takes him up a small hill and both of them argue. The old partner threatens him and Chittappa returns the favour in full. Finally Chittappa calls on some of his henchmen and they now in turn threaten this man. The guy leaves shooting killing looks at Chittappa and swearing revenge….

Update for Wednesday 9th August 2006

Abhi is at home and Anandhi is feeding Karthik. Abhi tells Anandhi that she needs to find another place for Karthik as there was strong opposition to his presence here. Anandhi asks Abhi why she had appointed Bhaskar at her office and as usual Abhi spouts tathvam about the promises made to her FIL, blah ,blah, blah. She tells Anandhi this situation is very different and asks her to take Karthik somewhere else. Anandhi says she will find him another place in two days time.

Thols and Ganga are travelling in a car. Ganga says that she is taking him to meet a VIP and that after meeting him Thols life will change for the better. Thols wants to know who the VIP is but Ganga says that he will know when he goes in.

Ganga and Thols reach a restaurant. Ganga asks Thols to go in and Thols goes in looking for this VIP. Bhaskar is coming out from a room in the hotel and sees Thols. Adhi is at a table and calls out to Thols. Adhi says that he is the VIP that Thols is here to see. He tells Thols that he and Abhi were just simple employees working under him and because of Thols help Abhi has come up in life. He tells Thols that in business there are no permanent enemies or any permanent friends but Abhi was the only one who was his permanent enemy. He offers Thols, money to start his own business. Thols is quietly listening to this drinking a glass of water. He tells Adhi that he had tortured them and given them endless trouble and he was not a person he respected and would never accept anything from him. He then reaches into his pocket and gives Adhi one rupee for the glass of water he drank. He leaves the restaurant followed by a furious Adhi. Abhi, Rajamani and Bhaskar are watching all the happenings and Abhi has a very suspicious look on her face…

Kolangal Update for Monday, August 14th, 2006

Scene I
Auto and Guest House

Chittappa tells Satish they must try to see the person who helped him
before he leaves Blr. (how come Chittappa is so gung-ho about this?
He usually doesn't give a hoot about formalities!!). Satish finds an
auto. Switch to guest house where Eshwaran and Sammandhi are eating
wile Sammandhi amma and Kanchana serve them. Back to the auto, where
Satish tells the driver to stop and they would take a shortcut.
Chittappa and Satish start running through the woods (remember
Satish's earlier run to get to the guest house). Poor Chittappa is
out of breath. Meanwhile, Eshwaran misplaces his phone and spend
some tension-filled seconds searching for it. Just as he finds it, a
phone call comes from Adi, some conversation between Kanchana,
Eshwaran and Adi. Adi and Chittappa are getting closer. Guest house
gang packs up and excrutiatingly slowly enter their vehicle and drive
off, JUST as Chittappa and Satish get to the house. Near miss!!
Satish asks the caretaker where they went and where they are going.
Caretaker can only tell them that they are going to Chennai.
Chittappa tells Satish they'll try to find them in Chennai.

Scene II
Chittappa's House

Chandra walks into the Pooja room, where the newly casted Chitti is
deep in prayer. They both cry about what might have happened to
their husbands. Chitti reassures her; both cry some more.

Scene III
Abi's House

Anandi pulls up to the house and walks through the decrepit gate into
the home. Aarthi is sitting on the couch, seemingly depressed (ahe
usually looks that way, so I wasn't sure). Anandi asks whether
Karthik had eaten anything. Aarthi and Karpagam exchange some
stares, Abi peeks in through her doorway. Karpagam hesitatingly
tells Anandi that Kathik isn't there. Anandi is surprised and asks
whether Karthik wandered off again. Karpagam tells her that
Bharathi came and took Karthik to his home. Anandi wonders why he
should do that. Arthi tells Anandi there was an incident in the home
and that Mano hit Karthik. Anandi turns to Mano, who has walked out
of his room, followed by Anu (Mano is ALWAYS in that room...orru
velai theda kooDaadha? DhanDa soru!!). Anandi asks how he could
have raised his hand against poor Karthik. Mano says that Karthik
was out of line. Anandi says that when so many people, who are aware
of what they are doing, commit crimes, how can he blame Karthik, who
doesn't know where he is or what he is doing. Anu tells Anandi that
when Karthik comes into HER room and sleeps next to her, what is she
supposed to have done (btw...that was probably the FIRST time Anu
actually shut that room door fully). Anandi agrees it was wrong, but
to keep in mind that Karthik is not mentally OK. Anu asks if a child
(as Anandhi claims Karthik to be) sets fire to the home, whether
everyone should just stand around and do nothing. Anandi accuses Anu
of being heartless. Abi finally pipes in and says that Anu is not at
fault. Anandi tells the whole family that she feels responsible for
Karthik's mental state and thought that she would have had some
support from the rest of her family. She wonders why Bharathi has
more compassion than her own brother's wife. Anu tells her that if
anyone in the "family" had been is that condition, she would have
done everything she could to help...but Karthik is an outsider, and
she is just a human being, after all. She goes back into her room,
Mano walks out. Karpagam tells Anandi that Anu cannot be blamed.
She asks Anandi what they would do if tomorrow something happens to
Karthik. What would happen if Karthik's relatives showed up then?
What could they say? Anandi again says no one understands how she
feels...she is responsible for his current state. Karpagam says she
is not responsible...after all, HE was the one who married someone
else. Anandi then points a finger at Aarthi and says that it all
happened because she eloped with Rajesh. Aarthi tells Anandhi she
was tricked and she was placed in a position where she had no
choice. Anandi says she's not trying to place blame, but just as
Arthi had no choice, neither did Karthik. Anandi leaves the house.
Abi tries to console Aarthi, who tells Abi that this is the first
time Anandi has ever blamed her for the past.


Scene IV
Chittappa's House

Chittappa and Satish slowly enter the house. Chandra comes out of
her room and happily calls out to Chitti. Chitti comes running,
followed by Sumati, and notices that Chittappa has been beaten. She
asks Satish what happened. Satish and Chittappa are silent. Chitti
insists they tell her what happened. Satish tells Chitti the whole
Bangalore story. When he's donbe with his story, Chitti turns to
Chittappa and fires him left and right. She tells him that they can
never be happy living off money stolen from innocent people.
Chittappa is silent throughout her tirade. Chitti tells Chittappa
that he used to be an honest man (really?? when??), and all their
wealth was hard-earned once upon a time...what happened to him?
Chitti tells him that because of his change of attitude, their
children will suffer. Chittappa tries to tell her he'll never allow
anything to happen to his children. Chitti cuts him off. She
reminds him that his greed was responsible for Sumati being married
off to a porruki and having her life ruined, and of his attempt to
get rid of Chandra instead of forcing Satish to marry her. She says
that if not for Chnadra, the family would be in shambles (huh??).
She begs Chittappa not to continue in the wrongdoings. She tells him
she will not allow him to ruin Satish's life anymore. She pulls
Chandra, Satish and Sumati away into the pooja room and prays that
they do not have any problems henceforth. Out in the hall, Chennai
police enter and ask Chittappa if he is Thiruvenkatan. Chittappa
says yes, and asks what the problem is. Chitti, Satish, Chandra and
Sumati come back into the room and wonder what's happening. Police
tell Chittappa that they have received a complaint against him
regarding the fraud committed in Andhra Pradesh. They tell Chittappa
he needs to come to the station for an inquiry. Chitti tries to stop
them. Satish tells Chitti, after all, it's only an inquiry, don't
worry. Police take Satish and Chittappa away. Chitti cries some
more.

update kolangal from yahoo group wed 16

Scene 1:
Anandhi climbs up the stairs into Bharathy's (B) house. She
eavesdrops on Bharathy's parents being very kind to Karthik and
taking so much effort to feed him. B also joins in this "saapadu
ootal". Anandhi is very happy to notice how affectionate they are to
Karthik. She enters their living room and they welcome her in. She
thanks them for being so nice to Karthik, despite her turning down
on the wedding proposal. She also says that her family is not as
understanding as B's family is towards Karthik. She says that she
will find a "home" for Karthik, but B's parents says that they are
more than happy to take care of him. She thanks B for this. He
says " I am a friend and i did what a friend is supposed to do".
Anandhi says " You are more than a friend to me"! ( thaevaiya
idhu??...paavam...she is giving ideas to B) B has a happy look on
his face at Anandhi's comment.

Ad break.....Sridevi is modeling for Shanthi coconut oil....she
looks so beautiful.....

Scene 2:
A bunch of police officers lead Thiruvenkatam (T) and his son to an
old deserted building. They try to strike a deal with him. One
police asks TV to bribe him Rs.40 lakhs so that they can close the
case and send Andhra police away. TV says that he made only 40 lakhs
from his fraud business. The police brings out TV's old kaedi
partner who says that TV made 1 1/2 crores on this deal. ( it was so
disgusting to see the police officer demand a bribe....chae...) TV
offers to give Rs. 10 lakh bribe. Policeman says that if he does not
give Rs.40 lakhs, he will have to do his "duty" and arrest him. TV's
son takes his dad aside and asks TV to sell their house to get the
Rs. 40 lakhs to pay the police in order to escape from jail
punishment. Policeman gives them one day time to fetch the money and
threatens TV that if he does not do so, he will have to take action
against him.

Ad break....Parachute no tears baby soap...the baby looks very cute!!
They say nalangu maavu hamam soap will make you
beautiful...nijammava?

Scene 3:
Somebody ( happens to be Mano's previous boss) walks into Abi's
house calling out for Mano. Of course, Mano comes walking out of his
bedroom!!!!( ivanukku vaera vaelaiyae illaiya?????), followed by
Anu. Abi, Aarthi and their mom also walk out of their respective
rooms. The prev. boss yells that Mano had borrowed Rs.10,000 from
him towards his mom's illness ( idhu eppo nadandhuchu???) and never
repaid it. Abi is upset with Mano that he never mentioned about this.
Aarthi adds fuel saying that he has changed very much these days,
not worried about any debts and is with is wife all the time. Abi
brings out a bunch of cash ( hmm....NRI money ellam ippadi veen
poagudhu!!!!) and hands over to the man, but Anu stops Abi and says
that they ( Anu and Mano) will repay the money. Abi tries to tell
her that it is her brother's debt and she will repay it. Aarthi asks
Anu how are they going to repay it. Anu says " I will repay my
husband's debt. A wife should repay her husband's debt". (
appadiya???)(...Mano paadu gujaal thaan...he can go about getting
debts everywhere and his sister and wife will compete with each
other to repay his debt!!!! Aarthi and Abi are stunned at Anu's
statement....avlo thaan, indha episode mudinjadhu.

Such a worthless episode and such a stupid ending.....hmmmm....
but there is one good thing... Ganga varalai inniku...naan
thappichaen....
By the way...Karthik's acting is sodhappal....he behaves like a
mentally retarded, looks like a kirukku, walks like a man affected
by stroke and eats like a kid....Looks like he or TC did not do
their homework right....

Brief update for Mon's episode --pretty boring :

--Sumati tells mother (sharada) that she wants to go for a job and says that it is because of the state of the house and also hints that it is due to whateverher father has done. Thiruvengadam gets angry and shouts at her and curses himself that he has to hear all this from his daughter. Now the person who bought his house comes and tells him that he has to vacate the house tomorrow itself. TV tells him he has sold the house worth 2 crores for only 40 lakhs. Sharada/sumati all get upset hearing about the sale of house and sharada tells him to find a alternative house --otherwise they will be on the streets, she says.

--Alamelu in her house and the grocery shop fellow comes and tells her to pay the balance money for grocertaken earlier. Bhaskar now comes and tells him he will pay tomorrow. He tells alamelu that the site will be registered tomorrow and he will get 5 lakhs for that. Now alamelu says we can try to fix the alliance for ur sister with that american party.

--TV leaving the house and lots of sob sob dialogues follow specially from ashok who keeps on crying and they all go vacate the house.TV and ashok go in the lorry carrying the things and sharada/sumati/DIL wait outside their old house. sharada cries and says how much my husband would have been distressed at these happenings and faints.

Aug 21, 2005 Monday updt

NOTE:

Today's episode once again showed why folks continue to lose interest in this serial.

It was mostly about the selfish a.k.a. greedy men of kolangal.

TV-s house:
Sumathy is being interrogated by her mom as to why she is leaving at this odd hour for work and she spouts valid reasons - more work...have a deadline, etc. She says with our family like this, it is better I stick to this job. At this TV rears up his ugly head and fires blank darts at mom-daughter combo...am I not good for anything? was that dig intended at me? (duh, it was obvious) Then Sumathy says think back for a moment. who is responsible for the fiasco of my life? you pushed me to this stage and even now I don't blame you or have anything against you..
NTF-PI (paithiyam innum sariyaa theLiyalai)

TV actually thinks back for a moment, shakes his head, thinking that not he but only his daughter was mad once upon a time and says he knows best...and blames all on his wife. It was she who stopped everything and always never gave her blessings for any of his project and who in this world did not do fraudulent business or act dishonest? but she is one moodhEvi, joined by her daughter and dil as her cohorts on either side and with the three of them, made sure his business went to the bottom. He starts yelling some more when a kurtawala comes in with another fellow and TV welcomes them. Chithi asks them to leave their footwear outside when TV says, these are the folks who bought our house and so it doesn't matter, thus shocking all. He says Chithi was the one who suggested selling the house to pay debtors. the kurtawala wants some more signatures and TV is frustrated that a building worth 2 crores went for a mere 40 L. The guy says maybe when luck smiles on TV again, he will find another big building for a throwaway price. They leave and all ladies are in shock mode. Chithi wakes up, gives her traditional screech (traditional for kuyili) and asks TV to look for a house as he has 3 ladies to take care of.

commercial break...

cattle shed:
Alamelu grumbles abt life in general and Basker if given coffee by the no good daughter when the local grocery owner sends in his boy for collecting backlog dues. Alamu shrugs it off but Basker asks the boy to come next morning and collect all dues. Boy goes happy and then Basker explains the land deal was set to be finalized tomorrow and he will get his 5 L commission. Alams is all smiles -NTF-PI (indha sandhOshathula, oru rendu suthu namma kaN munnaadiyE oodhinaa) she says, why cant u ask for commission from both parties, from abhi too? and basker silences her. alamu then goes on a dream boat abt how she will reinstigate marriage talks with US-propelled guy and will conduct the wedding, shaming all wagging tongues who spoke ill abt her daughter.
basker looks at her wondering if he can take her to the same temple with the faulty bell where thamarai from selvi went, in the hope that it would fall on her head too.
vidhya also smiles.

TV again:
TV gets up from bed, comes out of his room, asks for coffee and realizes it is time to depart. sees all his prized possessions being carried out while wife, daughter, son and dil are standing in tears. comes down slowly and son weeps buckets on him, almost drowning dad...as if drowning in debt wasn't enough. dad asks him to chin up, not give up in life; we have to succeed; they walk out; why is it they just walk out like that? wont they have planned something. pure fellow, had morning breath too.
all of them waltz out and son cries again and again and again,,,says doesn't hold...(NTF-PI - thaangalai)
watchman drives them out and locks the gate from inside and TV breaks down...says, even he couldn't hold it any longer. he had planned so much and struggled to build this; in fact this was a landmark building in this locality and there was none like it and he will resurrect to build one more. son asks why dad feels now, dad just feels;
(NTF-PI - orE feelaa irukkudaa.)

TV instructs the ladies to stand just there while he and son climbs in the lorry with the things in it, hoping to sell it. (me thinks his first stop will be at shanthis. guess why? - coz it is the local coffee house!! TV definitely needs his morning coffee) TV stands like a lost politician among his possessions, he did not wave, at least. Chithi does a bad imitation of being in emotional pain seeing her once-proud husband shattered like this, (NTF-PI - kadanaaLi aanaalum kaNavan, porukkiyaa irundhaalum purushan atttitude won) and imagines herself as a dainty lady in distress, fans her face and collapses, conveniently into the waiting hands of her able oil-face dil and dry-face daughter, flutters her eyes, closes them, much to the delight of the viewers and to the sorrow of her carriers - appaa, enna weight? the duo let out collective sighs with the rest of us when they place her on the road, we coz we see the 'thodarum', they - a big weight off their hands....!!!!!!

The story on Friday was all about bringing down TC and separating him from Abhi.

--Adhi meets the 3 disgruntled flat owners and tells them that abhi/tc has done great harm to them. He tells them to give him power of attorney and then he will give them half money and the balance after he finds a suitable buyer. They are suitably brainwashed and easily agree. Minister asks later why he is doing this. He says he will transfer the power of attorney to TC's name so that it will create a worst opinion in abhi's mind.

--ganga takes TC to a financier and they tell TC to sign a blank paper as guarantee. TC says no but is later persuaded by Ganga to sign as part of his trust/affection toards her.TC still trusts despite her taking him to meeting with adhi and also swindling 3 lakhs from a customer's account and finally blamed on TC.
Adhi meets Ganga later with rekha and ganga requests adhi not to do anything harmful to TC as he has signed out of trust with her.

--adhi/rekha take ganga to a empty plot near abhi's project site and he tells her that he will give this plot to her and she can do any start activities by using the plot as she likes. Only condition is she should do what he says for splitting up TC from Abhi.
Ganga agrees.

HAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!abhi may leave atha constructions....but the down point is it will be in the hands of demolition master a.k.a. nincompoop - Thols.

Anu is scrambling in the bus stop, waiting for ride in Pallavan's chariot....Our real hero of the serial - Baasha whizzes by and seeing Anu, stops his auto and offers a ride. After a 1 minute bartering, he says ok to Anu paying him regular fare....and then takes her.
He is shocked when he finds out that she is working. Why, when her brother employs thousands? Anu, says, that was then, it is now important to make a living..and her husband's income as a mechanic is hardly sufficient to lead a comfortable life. That too, that income is not regular. Mind you, she is not belittling Mano's job - but we need to face realities of life. After all, even she is educated and it is not right if she just sits at home and expects her husband to fend for her and their family, with her doing nothing. Rajesh is full of admiration for her and says, if only...Arthi thought like this...you are one in a million. meyyaalumE solrEn, thangachi, enakku orE grass itching. Arthi never liked the fact that I drive an auto...

Now Anu goes into the lecture mode...why is this girl sane when it comes to all others but flares up at home? She says Arthi is not to blame. Rajesh did cheat her, claiming to be a rich guy...and it was natural for Arthi to mistrust him. Later, given all that, she did make an effort to live in that house with Rajesh...But what did annE do? he committed the worst possible blunder detested by wives...and Arthi had no other choice but to get him married to Sundari...If Anu had been in Arthi's shoes, she would have left Rajesh then and there. But Arthi was patient and continued her life. Then one day, she abruptly left the place. So, instead of pinning the blame on her, it is the duty as a husband that Rajesh should try to find out why Arthi chose to leave.. and he has to do something really good to get in the good books of Arthi..and she will definitely go live with him. Rajesh says he understands and the auto goes on...

Hold your breath:::here comes Maddy again. Anjali gets a phone call from him and Maddy says he is outside their house...and is coming in...Anjali tries to warn him that Usha is there in the house but Maddy just walks in, calling Anjali's name. Anjali comes down and shouts at him and implores him to get out when Usha comes there. He wants to know who Usha is and Usha says she is the very same person to whom he blurted out a rancid joke the other day..and is this the way to talk to ladies? and she gives him good abt visiting an engaged girl....Anjali just looks on while Usha asks Maddy to stop bothering Anjali and asks him to get out. Maddy apologizes and walks out..On the way, he passes Usha's parents. Usha welcomes them and now it is Anju's turn..She blasts Usha for interfering and who is Usha to talk abt family maanam and perumai. wait till Mommy gets home....she will give you good...Usha asks her to grow up and her dad tries to get in a word of advise and gets his head bitten off by Anjali. She says neither Usha nor her dad have illustrious behavior, taken their way of life...which prompts Usha to raise her hand against Anjali...Anjali gets madder and huffs and puffs and blows the house down. Usha's mom tells Usha to keep to herself and ava ennaa aanaa unakku enna? but dad supports Usha..and then they remember abt their grandson...who is lying content listening to this bickering...and he now gets his attention, while a fuming Anjali looks from above.

Thols meets Abhi in a construction site...and finds Abhi sad...They start talking and Abhi is upset that Thols doesn't see it fit to confide all in Madam Freud....(Abhi) Thols looks like a ginger-eating-monkey....and is trying to swallow a big rock that is stuck in his throat. Abhi says she doesn't suspect Thols but what is she to believe. Those 3 house owners categorically say that they saw Thols and that his men threatened them into not selling. Abhi does give due credit to Thols for trying to advise her against buying those apartments in the first place, but that is all bridge under the water now. How come Thols is not offering any explanations whatsoever. It all started when Thols claimed he took 3 lakhs for some personal expense...ever since then, he has been behaving with a private agenda and does not let Abhi in on any of his action items.. plus she is pressurized on all sides who talk against Thols, since all fingers point to him. He is a diff. Thols now...not the same guy who used to talk abt all things to her...Thols keeps muttering to himself, illa abhi, aanaa abhi, appadi illa abhi...and then Abhi does a 180.

She says maybe all this goes to prove that she is no good as a businesswoman..(happa, there is a GOD!! - maybe she does read our posts....) now she has nearly 3 crores mudakkufied in this project. Adhi, for all his faults, is a genius when it comes to business and a shrewd fellow. From the beginning he has said that no personal feelings should be involved in making business decisions and maybe that is the mantra. Abhi has failed miserably...she asks Thols to take it all. He will be a better helmsman...that too, he is a man (yuck, I felt like throwing something at the TV) and it was his company to start with..this construction business was his dream..and abhi just joined him...(again happa, now she realizes how she assumed importance)....also, with the business in its state now, there is no hope for this project plus her dream of building a house is also in shambles. Thols asks her not to feel and talk like that but Abhi is on a mission here...She says, I am sentimental and emotional and as such, feel that I am not a good leader..so, this business is all yours...take it and make a success of it. Thols tries to say that it is not so, he will support her all the way but Abhi is bent on handing the baton and says, no, I will not take no. this business is yours to keep. I don't want any part of it...and so saying with tears, she almost runs away.

Ganga is listening to all this from behind a wooden post....her expressions keep changing (actually, it was supposed to change but I could not distinguish from one to another but guessed it has to change) and after a thoughtful and disturbed Thols leaves the place, she comes out of her hole and gives a little victorious smile..Ha, the project is mine now...I will be Rajamani madam's right finger again....if only I talk abt love crap to that brainless besotted fellow who just left - must be going thru' her mind...
