Heer decides to go to the aam ka baag , after all this was the only place where she could be herself. Also, this was the only place where she had spent lots of childhood years in playing with prem,... siding with him, protecting him... it was also the same aam ka baag, where lalu chacu and her father balraj used to spent many evenings together having thandi thandi lassi...
On the other hand, lalu took prem to the aam ka baag. he wanted to bring prem here to make him feel what he was feeling. he knew he was wrong but he couldnt admit it. he wanted to tell prem how much prem meant to him and how much balraj meant to him.. most of all he wanted to tell prem of the promises he made to balraj... he knew he was wrong in not thinking of balraj...he wanted to go to this aam ka baag with prem so that prem could remember his childhood...
heer is alrady there at the baag, she puts her hand against the tree....and notices the mannat ka dhaga there... tears well up in her eyes and sher thinks of the moment where both she and prem wre playing and teji and gayatri had tied this mannat ka dhaaga as a promise to each other that come what way these children will never face difficukties in theur life and if something happened to one of them, then the other will take over the role of the mother for all the kids...
the aam ka baag was an emotional one for heer for both teji and balraj had gone there before setting off for ludhiana for some important work... heer is walking round and comes across a jhoola... she notices the jhoola and remembers that it was the same jhoola that prem had swung her as a child,.. she takes out the payals that prem had given to her as a child
Suddenly she hears footsteps and tries to hide self. In an attempt to hide hersekf, her payal breaks away and she leaves from there in a ruish.. and goes inside the hut nearby...
Lalit and prem come towards the swing...and prem sees the payal there. hes shocked and remembers that its the same payal he had given heer as a child...lalu is nearby and he glances upon a ginni he had given heer as a child... lallu is shocked and both prem and lalu say heer unanimously ... they look at each other and then look around... there is no one in sight... then they glance towards the hut ... prem looks up in exasperation....and goes towards the hut... both prem n lalu reach the hut and fling open the hut... there is total darkness and the furniture is creeing, there are lots of cobwebs too...
prem takes a match stick and lights a candle... with that candle he makes his way forward when a photo is about to fall... and there hear a scream baujiii...................... Shocked they look down, only to see heer flinging herself towards catching the photo of balraj.!!!
