5/12 - Prerna Sharma might just be the most infuriating Balaji FL

Today's episode proves what viewers always knew - that Ekta Kapoor's female leads are just conflicted souls, desperately weak and no attempt of saving these women can work. You should just have them resign to their own, carefully fabricated conflicted lives.

I just do NOT understand why Shivangi lost her steam, even after she had SOLID EVIDENCE right in the palm of her hand. She now knows the reason behind Prerna's "sacrifice, panned it as such and was all eager to show it to her Maa-Baba, but chose not to coz she wanted to pat her sister on the back first. I bet my life something will AGAIN happen and even that evidence will be lost. 😡

That scene where she confronted Pre, and Pre kept saying "Nahin, aisa kuch nai hai Shivi "kya bakwaas kar rahi hai "tu galat samajh rahi hai "Maine toh notice dekha bhi nai, I swear to God, I was feeling so ANGRY I just wanted to slap Pre. How much of a damn martyr are you gonna make of yourself, woman? Kuch doosron ke liye bhi chhod do.

Ek toh Erica speaks in a clumsy, repressed way, which makes her words seem muffled and like she uttered them in slumber. Next, she has been handed a script which TOTALLY DAMPENS anything about her character that could suggest she is a strong, independent, THINKING woman who knows the ways of this world. There are so many schemes these days, there are hard money lenders, there are a gazillion ways to take debt...aur kuch nai kaam karta toh at least TRUST Anu enough to tell him about it. What DOES Anu find in this woman? What IS likeworthy about such majboor, spineLess characters? Bloody ridiculous.😡

So we go from an excited, hyperventilating Shivani willing to expose Kaki Maa's manipulation and blackmail, to being "proud of Prerna, after the latter dished out a silly, cock-and-bull story about how she had tried every trick in the world and nothing worked. They did not even stress on the WAYS Prerna was trying to get out of this situation, as far as I recall, the makers were more inclined to show Prerna as bechari, and majboor and mahaan, waiting to be rescued by someone like Anurag (that too, she doesn't want to let happen) than they wanted to portray as a sensible woman who understands how grief-stricken her parents will be, once they realize the gravity of what she's done.

Her reasons for convincing Shivani when she stated they could easily go back to their gaon wala ghar in the event the loan cannot be paid off? Maa baba are old, the village does not have enough facilities or hospitals, how can they move back there? So let me fall deeper into a trap with a total creep and possibly get raped, tortured, sold off to random strangers - an incident that will totally not impact their health.

"Maa baba ne hamare liye kya kuch nahin kiya hai, humein paala posa bada kiya, humein ek accha future diya so let's f&*% my future. That way they'll sleep peacefully at night.

Such random B.S. Kyun bhai, do viewers deserve this??

Note: After this "heart-rending" confrontation, Pre asks Shivani to stop crying because "koi dekh lega", which doesn't make sense and is funny, coz they both were chit-chatting at the top of their voices and just about anyone could've heard them then!

I mean, how can a female character be so weak in frikkin 2018? I could've swallowed this, had this been 15 years back, which was what KZK 1 portrayed - but maybe not THIS. At least Bajaj had scruples. What's the damn difference between the original show and its reboot, if Ekta's going to show the same garbage, possibly smellier and uglier?

It's okay for Pre to CRINGE (and have us all cringe) when Naveen comes close to her, it's okay for her to fantasize about Anurag in broad daylight despite not having the balls to extricate herself from the creep's clutches and make a dash for the exit, it's okay to fall for Anu but get married to Naveen and place her mind, body, soul at the mercy of a man she clearly does not trust.

I was so infuriated with Pre today I didn't even smile at the lollipop moments they gave us towards the end, with Pre hallucinating about Anu. Is that all you're worth Pre? Dream about undying, eternal love day in and day out, but not have the courage to make a move in that direction or even in the direction of saving your own life?

Wahan Anu ki life mein shani grahan banke baithe huey hain. Just coz he had a random tiff with the registrar over something inconsequential, the chap says he wont hand over the marriage registration certificate, in possibly one of the most idiotic acting sequences ever in this show. The stereotyping of Bongs, especially making ALL words sound like they are drowned in a fat "O "korta hai "bawlta hai "cholbe na is...weird. That chap was overacting in a way that was making me cringe.

Also, is Madhuri a hawk? She is constantly waiting in the corners, behind bushes, eavesdropping. It's maddening to see her apply her brains more than the FL does.

Not sure if this is true, but I read that the show might go off-air. Given the weak characterisation of the female lead, Anu's constant failure rate for almost 2 months now (and the wedding hasn't even happened yet), bad storytelling and generally too much jewellery thrown in our faces without rhyme or reason or rather, a SOLID PLOT, I can totally imagine KZK2 hitting the full-stop button soon.

People get bored of the same shit, Ekta. I hope you read this.

PRECAP: Why is Anurag so over-excited every time he lands some evidence? Tumhare haath lag gaya marriage certificate toh khushiyan manao, pede khao, sahi waqt ka wait karo aur sabko dikhao. Kya zaroorat hai Naveen ko batane ki ki "hamara country do shaadiyan allow nai karta". Now Naveen will get one final chance to undo the mess👏👏

P.S. For those wondering how I can be so fickle with my affection for Prerna, from calling her "pyaara baccha" to "infuriating FL", it's hard not to when you see how stubbornly she's held on to her mantle of sacrifice and majboori. Unless they redeem her, it's really hard to root for her.

I loved yesterday's epi one of my favorite ones that i saw on ITV ... but hated today's inconsistency with shivani amd pre... anu like a mad person he is still after this stupid scapegoat... what he likes in her was my question too...atleast she has a reason that he is standing up for her always but whats the reason for him to fall for her? If the news which u stated is true about show going off air i will be the happiest...parth and erica will not have to get thru this shit storyline and waste their careers... forgive me for my language dear

I think EK shows can be enjoyed ONLY and ONLY for the eye-candy. Erica and Parth are gorgeous people who look even more gorgeous in each others' company. Frankly, it's the only reason I watch this show - and with time if the story takes a turn for the worse ..like Anu marrying Komo or Prerana sacrificing herself by marrying somone else ( I know Navu won't happen - but Bajaj could) i'll give up! I know, and this is the price we get to pay for watching Ekta's shows. But THIS level of tomfoolery? How is this even digestible over weeks and months? Especially when we know both the leads have had stupendous success with their previous shows and can deliver a crackling performance here too, provided the script makes sense.

I'm unable to relate or attach myself to this show beyond the physical attraction the leads exude! Same here. I feel like I'm just looking at gorgeous faces plastered on the screen, opulent homes, jewellery and costumes, and that's it...all on the pretext of a good ol' story😭

Don't even get me started on the ridiculousness of marrying someone to save your family. W*F - how can someone even get that idea - you idolize Anu and don't believe him when he presents you with so much proof against the man you are about to marry - fine - don't believe him - but won't you investigate on your own a bit? ..heck, won't P's parents try to get to the bottom of it? What is EK trying to show..that middle-class families are so naive and gullible? .. Trust me, middle-class families are MORE vigilant than elite-class people. I know this sounds cliched but honor and reputation is all they have, and cannot afford to put a wrong step forward. Not saying elite people would like their daughters to be married off to random strangers, but middle-class people are generally wary of too much wealth coming in, all of a sudden, be it for whatever reason. I'll tell you my own experience - my parents refused two great proposals from the US and Dubai (for my sister) because they foung the matches shady. And well, I actually don't blame Pre's parents here - I blame Pre here - the resolute face, her oft-repeated statements that she is looking forward to marrying Naveen because that will mean a happy, settled life for herself - what is a parent to do? But yes, I wish Sharmas were portrayed as more investigative and involved than they have been. The urgency with which Shivani confronted Pre today is the kind of urgency the family, as a whole, should've displayed at the very outset.

The story is outrageous ..and like you said had this been shown a few decades ago - it might have made some sense ..also what is wrong with Anurag??? ..ppl have cell phones these days ..and there is cloud storage and SMS and WhatsApp and what not ..can you not click photos of all your proofs and bloody upload or text it immediately to everyone that matters - prerana included?? ...Word.😆😆Anurag bhi kuch kam nai hai. He finds the GODDAMN PASSPORT, and then shoves it back into the box. He NEVER takes pictures/videos and is content eavesdropping in on Navu and Madhuri's conversation and staring at them angrily through the door like a jealous, betrayed lover. Like, W*F?

i'm tired of the repetitive Anu-Navu confrontations ...and the pre-Anu scenes while they are flirtatious and gorgeous to look at ..are also getting a bit repetitive ..they don't seem to realize their feelings - and the 3 day marriage is going on for a month!! Ditto. Mera dimag fuse ho chuka hai abhi.

so yeah ...but I guess everyone who signs up for EK shows pretty much knows whats in store ..leads are great ..romance is cute and sexy until a wrong marriage happens and things go south ..but story and logic are always out the window!!! it's one party or function or festival after another with no story whatsoever! Whenever I think of a great story ruined by repetitive Ekta Kapoor drama, my mind goes back to Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, which started off great but isn't one bit the show it was when it began So yeah, this is the formulaic crap viewers are still treated to, and the more we lap it up without complaints, the more of this we get!

The fact that she is going headlong into this, obstinately, I guess is supposed to justify Anurag (maybe) marrying her without her will. Frankly I would much rather have that than have them pine for each other while married to other people.

Iean someone here in the forum told me that I don't understand Prerna ,coz I can't sacrifice like her. But,it's not that I don't believe in sacrifices,but Prernas reasons for sacrificing are ridiculous and even though makers made her say that this was the last option.what I saw was a stupid girl taking the easier way out.Had she strived in acquiring the money,rather than making eyes at Anurag and calling him boring,when honestly ,I find Prerna boring now and I like Erica ,even then,I would have believed her.their screenplay does not justify those statements.I just saw a stupid girl making a big mistake for trivial happiness that will cause more pain to her parents than the pain she is saving them from.Its ridiculous,can Indian shows finally acknowledge that marriage is not a toy to throw around for parents happiness .Don't even get me started on nivi,Suman,Madhuri and Mohini.Dont these guys have a life,it's like the main motive of their life is to hurt Prerna

and the complaisance Prerna exhibits in these scenes is excruiciating to bear.
