| Rakshanda Khan has joined the cast of Ekta Kapoor's Kasamh Se on Zee TV. The story of three sisters and a business tycoon Jai Walia (Ram Kapoor) has taken an interesting turn with Walia trying to bury his differences with his wife Bani (the eldest sister) who had to marry him after her sister Pia the woman he was in love with him ditched at the altar. After the initial hatred, Walia and Bani are getting together but not before his sister Jigyaasa sends an SOS to someone to come soon lest the couple falls in love. And so enters Roshni, Walia's blast from the past, she is the former executive girl friend of Jai Walia. Says the show's creative director, Sandiip Sikcand, "Roshni is Jai's ex-girlfriend and a grey character. We cast Rakshanda because she best suited the part. Since she's shown to be coming down from UK and is a career woman, we wanted to give her a very strong, western look." Says Khan, "It's a perfect cross between the positive Tanya of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and the negative Mallika of Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. She's deeply in love with Jai but cannot marry him because of his sister and some difference in opinions." |
