I stepped out after having a hot shower, it really soothed my nerves. I closed my eyes and began to remember how Nandini had hugged me, her face while she slept and her lips a bit apart... her lips they were pink and very delicate...I just wanted to kiss her...The thought of kiss got a smile on my face...
I stepped out drying myself with the towel, I was only wearing my jeans and stood in front of Nandini's mirror, and was gently ruffling my wet hair...I couldn't believe at what was happening...How I wanted to meet her all these 6 months and today I was standing in her bedroom...I never thought a day like this would ever come where she would sleep with her head on my hand...
And then I saw Nandini through the mirror...She woke-up and sat on the bed, she was rubbing her eyes like a baby... I smiled and spoke to her "Good Morning..." She looked at me through the mirror for sometime...
NANDINI'S POINT OF VIEW -
I woke-up and sat on the bed...I stretched my hands and then rubbed by eyes...When I heard Manik's voice...
Manik- Good Morning...(He smiled at me).
I kept staring at him through the mirror as he was busy drying his hair and then kept his towel on the chair...The first thought that came to my mind was... 'He is so God dammm good looking...' I kept staring at his bare chest like a fool and then suddenly broke my gaze when he turned to face me and smiled...
Manik- So, how are you now?
I stared at him with wide eyes, I had never done that before, it was soo unlike me...I never cared about any guy however good looking he was...Devika was right, I was dammm boring that ways...In university too when all Indian girls and also other nationality girls after seeing his pic used to drool over him, I used to hardly care...
But, now when I saw him, I thought to myself... Manik is really handsome...lean and tough physique and those soft looks...Now, I finally understood why girls go weak in their knees seeing him...Only a fool like me could have not understood how handsome he was, bur now I did... Manik was now a bit concerned and again spoke...
Manik- Nandini you ok??? I'll make coffee for both, tum fresh ho jao...
"Hhhmmm...Good...Good Morning.. ok..." He left for the kitchen and I stepped towards my washroom to freshen up...I was taking my shower when reality struck me...I freezed...Flashed from the night came in front of me...How I had a face-off, i left from there and how Manik and FAB 5 got me home...I hugged Manik and then slept off keeping my head on his left hand...
I was nervous now..."How will I face everyone...they would ask me questions which I don't want to answer...Aur Manik, what will he think about me...Like a fool I hugged him...FAB 5..." I began to panick and didn't realise that i had taken too long in the shower and then heard a knock on my door...
Manik- Nandini, tum thik ho?
"Ha Manik, I am fine..."
Manik- Ooohhh ok...was just checking...itna time ho gaya so...Cool, take your time...The coffee is ready...I am in the living area.
"Ya, I'll come..." I quickly stopped the water and dried myself...I stepped out and changed myself to a long t-shirt and a patiala...i dried my hair with the hair-dryer quickly as Manik was waiting fo rme...I was nervous as to what will I say him...
I thought to myself " I think I should talk to him before he asks me something..." I gathered myself and then stepped towards the living area...Manik was there waiting with coffee and some biscuits...
Manik- Hey come, here is your coffee...well, it's not as good as you make, but I still tried...Taste karke baatao kaisi hai...
He gave me the coffee mug and then we both sat on the sofa...he was reading his newspaper... I sipped coffee and was trying to gather myself to speak to him... "Manik voh..."
Manik- coffee achi nai hai (he looked worried)...Shall I order it from outside, give me 2 minutes...
"Manik coffee is good..."
Manik- Ohhh okkk...(he smiled and kept the paper down)...Voh Mukti and everyone is reaching in 15 minutes, getting brunch for everyone...I have called your friends too...
"Manik...I am sorry voh kal... I know I didn't behave properly..." Manik kept his coffee mug and then turned towards me...He sat on the floor and held my trembling hands...
Manik- Nandini, you don't need to say sorry...Aur kal raat ke liye toh bilkul nai...Ha agar tum uss hug ki baat kar rahi ho ya you slept on my hand...Toh let me tell you, never ever apologise me for that...I...I...I can't hide it...I really liked it...
I was surprised by his words that he liked it when I hugged him...
Manik- Nandini, you don't need to explain anything to anyone...trust me on that...no one will judge you...not your friends and not FAB 5...In fact we won't talk about it till you don't feel like...
I looked at him and tears rolled on my cheek...He wiped them with his fingers very gently...
Manik- Nandini...don't (asking me not to cry)...You know what I know one thing, the day you feel you trust me completely, tum khud mujhe sab bataogi...And I will wait for the day you trust me... "Manik..."
Manik- SSShhh...It's ok...don't explain...Nandini I always had a fear ki mere baare mein janke uss raat you would never turn back and look at me...But you did...Tum aaj mere saath ho...And I can never tell you how I feel...I can't hide it anymore and I think I shouldn't...
He took a pause and then continued...
Manik- Nandini in these 6 months, I had really waited every single day to meet you again, why I did that, mein nai janta. I prayed and wished ki bas ek baar tumse phir mil saku, to say Thank you.. and you know what my wish was granted when you messaged me you were in Mumbai..But, when I saw you in that hotel lobby, you will never know how happy I was...
"Manik I was happy to see you too..."
Manik- I know it...your eyes, they speak everything...But, sometimes they are so blank...I can't understand them...But, I wanna say something to you...Nandini I like you for the person you are...And I will always be there whenever you need me...I trust you...And I want you to have that trust in me too, to speak about yourself...OK...
He smiled and then got my coffee mug to me...
Manik- Chalo pee lo aab...
He got up to sit on the sofa and sipped his coffee while checking his phone...
I kept wondering what kind of a person he was...I said to myself... " He is so understanding, caring and above all he trusts me...Manik...Manik uski tarah bilkul nahi hai...he doesn't need any explanation...How can someone be so nice...gentle and patient...He never lied to me, never broke his promise...And there he was who broke his promise, who broke me completely...But Manik he is so different..." I kept thinking all this...
Manik got up from the sofa when Mukti's called and then went to open the door for all...FAB 5 and my friends entered... He came back to pick his phone and I immediately held his hand to stop him...I didn't look at him...
"I trust you ...I trust you Manik..." Everyone looked at us...
MANIK's POINT OF VIEW-
I was picking up my phone and then suddenly Nandini held my hand...I got a bit worried...
Nandini - "I trust you...I trust you Manik..."
I immediately sat in front of her...I just couldn't believe what she said...He eyes had tears and then she looked at me...This time her eyes were different, I saw she was trying to find a support in me...I wiped her tears and then held her hands tight...
"Thanks...I'll never break it..." She smiled at me...She hadn't smiled from the time that face-off started...I felt as if it had been years I saw her smile...But, now she did...
Kafeel- Nandiniji...kaisi hai app... (Kafeel treated Nandini like an elder sister...) Sorry Sara nahi aa saki...tumko toh sab pata hai ki usko morning sickness hoti hai...(His phone beeped)...Yes Sara, she is fine...Yup I'll make sure she is good...OK...Sara if she is your friend, she is my sister too...Bye...
Aryan came and sat near Nandini and I too got up...
Aryan- So Nands, how are you??? Someone is looking cute hhhmmm (he winked at Nandini)...
Nandini smiled back and laughed...I liked that she laughed but that jerk Aryan doesn't leave any chance to get close to her...
Mukti- Guys, i am damm hungry so without wasting anytime let's all eat...
Mukti had got her cook too with her who heated the food in Nandini's kitchen and had served the brunch for all...
Devika- Guys sab kuch vegetarian...How can I forget...Aaabb toh aaja Nandini...
Aryan got Nandini to the dinning table...And then sat next to her...FAB 5 chuckled on my expression...I was standing and eating...Nandini while eating spoke...
Nandini- Manik, have a seat...
She said it with so much concern that I dumbstruck...I quickly sat on the seat opposite to her like a kid, who was afraid ki kahi uski teacher naraz ho jaye...FAB 5 were enjoying my situation...And I gave them a glare... We all had our brunch and sat in the living area...Then Nandini spoke...
Nandini- Thanks...Thanks a lot...
Kafeel- Its Ok Nandiniji...chalta hai...We know we are good...
Aryan- Yup right...But, ya you should thank Manik the most...
I smiled...and then Cabir messaged on the FAB 5 whatapp group...
"Guys Aryan is praising Manik...Nandini ki jagah kahi yeh impress na ho jaye Manik se... :P"
FAB 5 gave sarcastic smiles to each other ...and I gave them my angry look...
Sam- Absolutely Nandini, thank Manik and FAB 5...In fact, I should thank you for saving our respect...Hum sab jante hai you don't approve of such things, but still you stepped in and saved us from humiliation...

Nandini- Guys, I wanna tell you all something...Bosco...Bosco and me have studied together in Engineering...He was a year senior to me...Voh Loser word...I just hate it...And I couldn't stop myself...Engineering mein bhi Bosco did the same, he called my friends Loser and I couldn't take it...Normally bolna different hai, but kisi ko humiliate karna isn't correct...And yesterday his group was humiliating you guys...
She took a pause...I felt relieved that finally she was speaking on her own...maybe the morning conversation we had helped her...
Nandini- I know you guys thought I don't know how to dance well...Well, school mein I had learned Kathak for 4 years...But, then studies ka pressure tha toh I left it...Then college happened and I was in the Student Committee...I was the main Co-ordinator of my Annual College Week in 2nd Year of college and Bosco was in 3rd Year, he was a huge name in college...So when he and his group humiliated my friends I asked him to have a face-off with me...And I won...Uske baad se Bosco and I respected each other and became friends...
Aryan- Then why didn't you ever tell us about him?? And what promise was he talking about???
Nandini- Aryan you guys never asked me...and nor did I ever felt it was important...When in London I saw him having an argument with Sam, that's when I came to know he is the same Bosco Sam kept talking about...After you guys left...Bosco saw me and called me...And I clearly told him to keep me out of it and never instigate me for silly face-offs and nor will he ever tell you guys that I know how to dance or he knows me as a friend...

With that question Dhruv spitted some water out while drinking, trying to control his laugh...I was already irritated with that crazy girl around and here my friends were enjoying my misery too...

Aliya- Girls I have an idea, why don't we all get ready at one place?? It would be so much fun... (she was damm excited) Mukti we both will wear saree too and don't you dare so say no...ok...It will be so much fun...

Nandini- I was wondering was I blind all these years??? I mean when all girls used drool on you, I was least bothered...In fact Devika is right, I am damm boring yaar...

I took a step ahead towards her and then leaned a bit forward keeping my one hand on the door...and I spoke... "Bilkul nahi, toh answer me do you like me without the t-shirt hhmmm"... Nandini got very conscious...I was enjoying it to the fullest...
Nandini- No nothing like that...Manik look, I have to pack my saree and leave with all the girls...Now go...
She pushed me out and closed the door...I smiled and left...Cabir and Dhruv were all ready laughing...I then left with them...

I closed the door behind and finally breathed...God, how can i be soo dumb...how stupid of me... And then I got Manik's message...
Manik- ''Well, you still haven't answered my question...No problem, I'll wait... 😉"
I smiled and then left to pack my stuff...
