What I mean is since pandit came nandini is not her old self.either she is mute or tagging behind manik or navya. She hasn't practised her music at all.i really want the old girl back who was happy ,not afraid of Anything and was best in music.if she chooses another instrument don't know how that story will be.already her character has gone weak and it shud not turn worse.how many more stories can they tell.already manik -nandini,mani k-harshad,navya-cabir,alya-dhruv,now the new gyy.its only 22 mins a day right.

I have list of songs..even humnawa has a chunk..
I want her to choose her instrument this time..it isn't about getting back the ability to play but love it..I wish CVs pay attention..

I was never fond of veena and Nandini's bond here..thing never looked like a passion.. I wish she can find that passion in violin..

@bold: Very true...despite that being a "basis" in the show in terms of the contrast b/w MaNan, they never justify the Indian classical part properly so everything ends up being a fusion heavy on the Western stuff...Fab 5 being a rock/fusion band adds to them overpowering the show too...Nandu ek toh firstly "lone ranger" in terms of representing Indian classical...upar se they never really give her much scope in terms of SOULFUL execution to highlight the beauty of Indian classical...maybe they struggle with presenting it properly for a youth show...dunno...

So yes, this violin idea can solve that issue for sure...but I do wonder if Niti will be upto the task of learning how to look convincing playing this and singing alongside too😆...matlab they essentially want to give her an instrument she can both play and sing along with too, right? That is why they used the veena?

I don't mind Nandu playing the guitar for a bit either...liked how cute she looked playing it yesterday😆

I so agree on everything you wrote.. western part has always been hovering the show..it's quite apparent they fail to present classical part, maybe lack of knowledge or more precisely they never really incorporated it in storyline.. they keep in stand alone..used as per convenience..violin can be lure here..it requires less detailing and care than classical genre..they can easily find tracks for it..Niti can handle it better than veena..
Haha..That's true..maybe they don't know about choice given; vocal and instrumental music..Niti would Google it..don't worry..show makers forget to pay attention on detailing so we might see awkward setting here but then a post would do..they read so much..

Indian classical music workshop here would mean - waking up early and attending a strict class of AMs.. then singing a few jazz music on name of Indian classical..sharing eye locks..

I like how they have made the whole recovery for Nandu about Music. I love love the idea of violin and it is such a classical instrument but the whole western vs classical angle is something that they keep harping on as much as it's misused . I don't want Veena ,not because it should be a bad memory but more so it never seemed like a choice by her.

I would rather Ams, Manik take a back seat and let Nandu define her music . She is at a stage where she can develop her passion for music on her own. Fresh beginning , new start. And I like the idea of new instrument.

Veena was never her chosen instrument.. it is more of something we got to learn..a family tradition or something..
I am loving it how they are making it about her music..I too would say Ams and Manik should take a back seat and let her find her music and solace..

why cant it be a new instrument for nandini?

i was watching the episode again.

why does it have to be veena or classical for that matter. she i felt has always been pushed towards music. so now that its about rebuilding nandu than why not a new instrument that she herself wants to play. why not go for western classical music. violin piano or indian classical ifthey wanna keep then harmonium maybe? why should it only be veena. i know its all about her overcoming her fear but still it can be that her inclination is towards some other musical instrument. something that she truly likes.

Also will add if its about keeping the difference between classical and rock music then piano is good option for them.that's a western classical Instrument:)

glad this point got discussed in MaNan AT.. I wish CVs read it from there other from this post. I guess with current scenario, change in instrument would work very well..and violin can be something really promising..
