@Medha: I meant 'empathy' on both sides, Cabir's as well as Manik-Nandini's. If their empathy and acceptance has made him grow, his empathy with the problems in their relationship has helped them get some perspective as well.

Agree with you about the disturbing silence on mutiple fronts- Raghav, Harshad. Raghav toh he still talks about with Nandini once in a while, but the Harshad-issue is a ticking bomb. But we have to make do with Soha now, so I guess that will take a backseat- his independence from his Mom and the foster-mom that Baba is, that's at the forefront now.

About therapy, I guess it differs with each individual, and the degree of violence inflicted on them. Having a strong support system helps- the fact that Cabir had already come out in front of his friends, and experienced their unconditional support, it would've been a big boost. Boy is strong, he's coping pretty well with his Mom's harshness and betrayal, but tough to say how much longer he can take it, especially if this album doesn't work out and he can't find his own freedom.
