"Oh hello? Where are you lost? And how come this sudden transformation in you today? Aren't you going to "fight for you rights" and whatever ?" Manik questions snapping his fingers in front of her.

"No sir" was all she could manage.

What has gotten into her today?' Manik thinking to himself places his palm on her forehead "you look completely fine to me, then why the weird behavior? Anyway, come along, you have loads of work for today" and they left.

"Where are we going sir?" Nandini questioned him since he was walking to his car "On a date darling... My home you idiot. Don't you remember your daily chores? You're suppose to clean my room everyday, forgot already? What have you been doing the past 1 month? Sit in the car now, we have to reach the academy before the class starts"

When Nandini entered his room, she could almost threw up just looking around at the mess. " Was partying with friends last night, so that's why the room looks messier than the other days. I even thought I will help you a little by cleaning up the room a little, but then why are you my spot?" He smirked and winked wickedly. He was Monster Manik alright' she thought to herself and rolled her eyes and got on duty.

She was fast when it came to any kind of activity be it cleaning, but Nalini would take forever to do anything. I wonder how long does Nalini take to do these chores. 2 or 3 hours MINIMUM I guess' she thought and continued with her work.

Meanwhile, A pair of eyes were staring at her silently watching her doing her work.

Something was different about her today. She looked decent, nice, good...obedient today. She has been working for me almost a month now, but never had he noticed such things about her. He never thought it was important to do so. Buttoday...was different... He just couldn't guess what. Heck, she was even working fast today... Why didn't she do that the previous month?

Nandini cleaned the whole room within half and hour , and that came as a shock more than a surprise to Manik.

"Wow Nalini, I'm impressed...very impressed today. What did you have for breakfast?"

"Huh? Nothing..urm, just some cereal?" She answered him confusingly.

"So how come so much energy today?" He asked coming close to her, very close to her making her uncomfortable.

"Uhm.. I.. I don't know?"

He traced his finger on her cheek and looked right into her eyes. Fear? Was that what he was seeing in the tigress who fought with him everyday? She was ... Scared? Of me? What? What's happening today? "Well well well, what do I sense here? Nalini Murthy is scared of me? The fighter' is scared? Wow... You are behaving very differently today girl... Very unlike you..." He gave her a thoughtful expression.

Nandini was trying hard to hide her sisters secret, but looking at Manik's facial expressions, she knew she was failing big time. She had to cover her secret... He shouldn't know, not now at least.

"Wha..what are you doing sir?"

"Nothing..nothing at all... Let's leave", he said moving his finger away, thoughtfully .

Manik spent his whole day trying to figure out what was up with this girl today..mathe whole day she didn't even fight back once, nor yell at him, nor get angry... In fact she was very obedient, strange, fearful... And NICE for a change.

And the way she looked... She just looked different, better.. Beautiful today, her hair looked unusually long, kohl lined eyes and... Beautiful? Where did that come from?

Surprised by his own thoughts, he needed a big cup of coffee to stop thinking about his spot...

On the other hand, Nanadini knew this was going to be the most toughest, roughest, and the most longest month of her life... NALINI PLEASE COME BACK SOON!
