Waiting for the rise of the moon is already raising the temperature. The entire episode in the woods was sheer pleasure, darling author.

The all-intriguing meetup of the two princes -one can only marvel at the foolhardiness of Mahendar going right to the top to serve his selfish ends. The Prince forestalling him with his question should sound the warning bells for Mahendar. What twist is in store for Mahendar is being awaited with bated breath, author Sahiba. News of the tete-a-tete is on its way to AMK it is now all a race against time who will strike the first blow when and where it matters most.

There is a saying in Bengali, whoever goes to Lanka, he becomes Ravana! Same with the political leaders, once they get the seat they change, politics top humanity!

This has become an epidemic in India, nowadays 5 year old, 8 year old, 6 year old, teenagers no girls are spared!! It is becoming a curse to be born as a girl!! Anindita will tell you, last year I think in October and November Anindita said she is busy or not in the mood to write in IF, that was the time when a 5 year old in Calcutta, in reputed JD Birla school was raped by PE teacher. Huge uproar went up but what finally happened I don't know. The girl is alive but that person I hope is rotting in hell! I was so down and stunned and shocked, my City of Joy is seeing this kind of scenario! When I was growing up, it was not as bad as this!! Children were looked upon as children and not as objects of lust!! Has the western culture and media brought such an inhuman effect on the society? But this is not tolerated even here in the West!

Lashy, many here gave you a curt nod when you wrote about Khalil and Durga in HBAS and I told you when I read but that is fact of life...see it is so true!! We can't look away, we have to face this menacing society with such cruelty that exists even today! I am happy you brought that ugly part of human nature in your novel! If we are thriving over AMK's character and nature then we should also dishonour men like Khalil who still is living in this day and age where we are overcoming expeditions to the moon and other planets! Science is progressing but our mindsets are not!!

I do not know Lana what to say, what to write for the past few days I am unable to think clearly and haven't been able to sleep. Those big, bright, beautiful eyes of Asifa follow me everywhere. Whenever i closed my eyes I see her tiny body lying on the ground, face down, like a broken toy.

How much pain she must have felt in the moments her tiny, frail body was brutalised, How afraid she must be in the moments when she opened her eyes in her drug-induced state to see what her perverted perpetrators were doing to her numb frame.

I wonder if the man in Meerut, to whom the message "satisfy your lust" had been sent so he could join the gang-rape, saw her as a child or just a body.

Every rape is inhuman and sickens me but this has shaken me to the core. I've been only thinking about it and wondering why.

This rape and brutalisation of a girl has shaken me not just because she was a child. It has shaken me because of the naked hatred that it represents. Hatred so vicious that the little girl's rapists were so carried away by their hatred that they did not think twice before raping her inside a temple. A child was gang-raped after performing rituals.They waited to kill a child who was probably already dead because a policeman wanted to rape her one last time?

From where did this hatred for her community come? Most news reports say the motive was to evict the nomadic Bakarwal community of Jammu and Kashmir from Jammu region to prevent a demographic change. The idea was to scare them into subjugation so that they left.

Even after the body of the child was found, the community was threatened, rallies were taken out in support of the little child's rapists, the Indian flag was used for the protests, When charges were to be filed, lawyers prevented the police from entering the court. A temple was used to rape the little girl, slogans of Jai Shri Ram were raised to prevent the police from doing its duty in getting the rapists punished. The tricolour was used to provoke people.

Has hatred numbed every sense?...
