The whole idea of polygamy grosses me out and It's completely against what a marriage is. A marriage is a sacred bond between two people... If a man wants to sleep with more than one woman, he should not get married. It also completely devalues a woman's worth and respect.
It's the one thing that ruins the show for me... I know it's fiction but the idea of the man moving from one woman's room to the next... And for wives like Ruq to be so desperate for the mans attention... 🤢 I personally would rather die single than be constantly competing with another woman.

I imagine there would have been competition for power, being Mariam Uz Zamani would mean you get higher power and respect. However having so many women in there harem, I'm sure many would be friends. Polygamy was seen as natural then so I don't think it would be too bad for them.

Have you read the Princess Trilogy by Jean Sasson. It's a wonderful series and you can get a lot of your questions answered from there. Oh and it's a true story!😭

I can't discuss anything more on this. I'm too young for it.

No woman can be friends with another woman with whom she shares her man. That is a lie or they are acting goody goody outside inside they wiill wait to strike back When saas and bahu cannot share one man a son and husband hiow can two women share a husband
Yes crown prince mom means power for life because your son then grandson will be emperors and will pander to all your demands.
In 21st century easy to say i will remian single in 16th impossible even father/brother do not care for you if you remain unmarried(except mughal princess who had fathers, brothers fawning over them and giving them more impt that their wives and daughters that is rare casesss)

women in those countries enter in polygamy due to poor financial conditions and for children born to them to get proper benifits and cared for .men why they want multiple wives everyone knows the answer .

i even read one instance where one girl aged 15 or 14 was married forcefully in nigeria to older man .
she purchased poison and mixed it in the food and killed her husband and his friends

But there he has two wives and families but her mom dies when she is young only
