So assuming its Hotstar and not SP who has given Gul the go ahead, I would still somewhere believe that while cashing in on the popularity of 'Singh Raizada' is a masterstroke, what with the 'returning' viewers coming back. But its still plausible that it may be a bit tricky for them to 'meet expectations'.

Here is what I think, the series would have fans on three accounts -old and regular ones like us, the new ones and the some returning ones. So while the old and new ones will embrace the series/ show whole heartedly, I think the returning ones will sway the numbers. Anyhow, for the beginning the 'recall' value will work, but sustaining it will be a tough ball game.

And I know people are hoping that while Advay draws only his name from its predecessor show, it would be lame to say that there wont be character traits overlap. Why, if you may ask? Well Barun did ASR with finesse and then HAK, an opposite to him too. And Tanhaiyaan was a breathe of fresh air, given new storyline, characters, chemistry andtilte, bringing in a successor to "Singh Raizada" would only overlap characters and it may or may not sit well with the returning viewers. Hence the comparison would be daunting , both in terms of the new characters and chemistry and also to an extent that the old Arnav would be compared to the new Advay. And I am sure that while Arnav was a lot more suave and Advay looks rugged and enhanced now, the recall is still intact.. But Barun will ace it like its no one's business❤️😛The man has just created a mass frenzy around here.

I hope Gul surprises us all because she has a huge bunch of expectations riding high here with Advay Singh Raizada and needless to say that she has grabbed eyeballs.😊

And I hope its a webseries because its easier to watch😆No jokes apart but the audience of Online mediums is 'far' different than the TRP masses. And would be a lot more open to experimentation.

ASR had set high standards not only for Barun but also for Gul
ASR is brought in comparison of all her current show
Some fans couldn't accept tanhaiyaans haider because of ASR influence
So whatever they do comparisons would have been made
By using same name they got more attention
Haters will watch at least to critise...
So it's a win in all situation for Gul

Since advay is Gul's product, I am not expecting something very different...we all know Gul...whatever she does it will be definitely watchable ...so I am in for it
but its my dream to see Barun doing to gangster or don role
