If he was there only for a year, the story should have been planned such a way. This is a major oversight or rather a view of "hum audience ko kuch bhi dikha sakte hain!" on part of the production house and the channel.

Wont blame Barun per se because he was honest right from the start, therefore the onus falls on the production house and the channel...either they should have planned the show to end in an year or a different storyline or they shoudnt have taken an actor who was clear that he was onboard for a year only.

I completely agree what you said.

But right now I think we should not discuss this issue any more.

Whatever is the reason, IPK ended. It's the ultimate truth. So I don't see any point to do the blaming game again and again. Personally I stopped doing it. IPK ended and we the ardent fans are severely wounded.So there is no point to rub our wound any more. You know when you rub your wound it hurts more.

In one point I also thought they should continue the show without Barun, but after rewatching the old episodes, I think it's impossible to run the show without Arnav and Arnav is impossible without Barun.So ending the show was inevitable.. But whatever is the logic, Life is still not same without IPK. IPK ended left a hollow in my heart.

So we are looser in either way.

why do we care???

we hate 4lions...

barun moved on...

sanaya has a new show..

our show ended...

we still love sarun as much we did before...

we are asking for new show or season 2...

sp will do new show with then if it is possible...

so why are we even talking about this?

Rima again a much needed post.

lets start from the beginning of the show...when IPKKND started...Sanaya Irani was already a popular name with a huge fanbase...she ws an established actress right from then thanx to MJHT fame...

but what about Barun Sobti...95% of Barun fans were not even aware of his existyence until IPKKND happened.

Barun Sobti became famous with ASR !!!!

so then why would PH like 4 lions known for their high success rate hire an actor as the lead of their show...when the actor has no show in his profile that can be termed as a hit...and also despite all that say that he is going to be there only for one year.

if the actor was already damn popular...then he is in a position to make demands...but Barun wasnt popular when he was signed for IPK...knowing the industry...we all know that such a demand will lead to him being rejected from the show...

this whole story of Barun being signed for just a year...then why did they have to show Arnav as the true love in Khushi's life...he could have been shown as a passing phase of her life...and then a new guy could have come as her true love.

but that was never the case...we saw a love story thats powerful and never seen before types...we saw a chemistry that spoke volumes...

the story went ahead to show that Arnav & Khushi were born to be together...

why would they show such an angle when Barun was supposed to leave all along !!!!

there are too many gaping holes in the story that LM is giving out now.if we fans can understand and plan so well...then why couldnt a famous PH like 4 lions and their expert team forsee this and plan ahead !!!

so its all too crap for me to buy it !!! no actor with sense would say outright that he will work only for a year when he has never been able to claim atleast one hit show to his profile !!!

so LM i held u at in high esteem till now but as of now I have nothing to say about what I feel about u now coz u seem to be playing along with the PH and media who is trying the divide and rule policy as of now !!

all I can say...hell with ur tactics coz we hardly care anymore !!! our focus right now is to get Sarun back in a new show !!! and for that we dont need 4 lions at all !!!

even if Sarun dsnt come back together ever...its fine but we dont want them in any 4 loonies nonsense !!!!

Maham, they signed BARUN as stop gap...just think once Gul mata's fav actor was free after 1 year of IPKND[they signed BARUN only for 1 year]...may be channel's pressure didn't let her to change the male lead [although she desperately wanted to change that]...Now she is producing another show with her one & only actor...before 6th june 2011, her fav actor was more popular than BARUN...I think it's BARUN's fault, he should be bashed by so called intelligent people, coz he made histories every single day after 6th June 2011...

only thing that comes to my mind after reading LM's interview is that they all are confused.. Sanaya said he was leaving in Feb, LM said he is leaving in June... cannot get it if Barun was leaving from start of show then at first place why he was signed in for show, secondly why he kept on extending his stay. agree they could have killed asr during the kidnap drama and brought new lead, i know bad idea but i am fed up with interviews talking about Barun leaving. Man come up with something new. Barun must be having his reasons but why everyone is behind him. way LM have mimicked Barun is bad that was between director and his actor how can he bring such a thing in an interview. That showed Barun's respect to his director and what director is doing mimicking him in public... pathetic LM lost respect by doing so. I love Barun and stand with him. Proud to be a Sobtian.. but sorry for such pathetic interviews.

I hate to say this but I am wondering if the ph actually thought of replacing Barun with another actor for the same ASR character. That is the only explanation I can think of for not ending the character before itself.😕

that makes sense !!! LM said Barun had signed up only for a year...maybe the case is that Gul wanted Barun only for a year...so that she gets time to rope her fav actor into the plot and Barun can exit !!!

what Gul didnt know was that Barun would turn into a worldwide phenomena which even her best actor cant match even for 1% !!

what Barun did is something no one can even dream of catching upto !!!

he changed the definition of TV fandom !!! Barun & Sanaya together as Sarun opened up a world so addictive and so radical !!!!

lolz now I can see y 4 rats tried to get Barun for a year coz they hoped to get Gul's fav actor as the main lead.

but fates dealt the cards and Barun & Sanaya became the face of IPK !!!

IMHO, arnav would have had a car accident on his way to the remarriage... missing-presumed dead... khushi heartbroken... but star plus did not like that track and had changed the storyline to make the marriage happen.

if barun had left then, he could have had a few months break ... while khushi comes to terms with the BFTP, every other family member would have something to act.. they could show the whole history of dad and his betrayal, anjali's perspective or something.. the story would last without arnav in the picture.. and then khushi 'feels' him.. knows he is alive.. and arnav will come back with amnesia or something.

barun would have had the 'break' , without sacrificing the role of ASR. but, well, the remarriage would not have happened.. and when star overwrote the PH's story, the PH threw up its hands and wrote the love letter to us fans.. and honestly, we did expect the BFTP..
and then we got the shital track and stuff just as stopgap, i think star wrote that story... because it had no connect to the previous storyline AT ALL.
