I think cvs should concentrate on gradual increase. The only thing they can do is concentrate on their work. Our show has major execution problems. So they should concentrate on the basics first(editing, direction etc)

And most of all they should maintain continuity in tracks so as to not make the audience confused. i meant comedy one day, flirting other day, drama the next day is what they were showing and people got mightily confused and couldn't connect to the characters or situations.

Intensity, passion and ArShi chemistry is what made IPK what it is now,These things are IPK's back bone.Cvs would do good if they remember it

Very well said buddy..I agreed completely..:)

Bang on..:)

Nisha, this is a lovely analysis dear, you have expressed my exact thoughts.

I was too busy gloating over the fact that the writers had given in to our demands and shown us the long-awaited apology after all but you are right...

a) it was too short...3 minutes, you were being too kind.
b) it lacked intensity and depth...he was more emotional when he apologized to Anjali after Shyam's ouster.
c) it should have had a bigger impact considering this had been building up for over a year now.

Its like the CVs want to rush this part of the story...Arnav's redemption, Khushi's justice, their remarriage, her happiness...they want to rush it and get it over with so they can tell us, see Khushi has been justified, now stop complaining and please watch the show. All this just goes to show how little they value Khushi and her feelings...the more they degrade and mess with Khushi's character, the lower the TRPs have gone. They know it, that's why they are giving us this track, but they are still not treating her the way a female LEAD should be treated.

I will say one last thing regarding Dadi...a promo was shown when she arrived the previous week but the TRPs remained stalled at 2.5. I was proven right. Why on earth would this old hag whose purpose in life is to insult the lovable Khushi (just so Arnav gets to look like a hero in defending her)...why would this actually increase viewership? It probably turned more people off. Don't get me wrong...its nice to see Arnav defend Khushi, but not at her expense...that just left us with an empty feeling. Everything the CVs try to portray keep backfiring because their priorities are not right.

They don't know their audience methinks. I doubt they realize the audience for this show has never been the same target as it is for other saas-bahu shows. This show hit 4.6 TRPs in February without a crazy sister-in-law, a regressive dadi or a bahu being humiliated in every episode. Why would they think bringing in such elements would help the ratings of this show in particular? They hit their highest TRPs in the days when the two lead characters used to be given equal importance and treatment and it was essentially a love story. Its not just about TRPs...even the fan reaction was positive back then.

The Di bhoot has to leave (im still skipping her scenes when i watch the SaRun online. Hilter Dadi is not helping even a bit - Nk & Dadi as a jodi has definitely clicked for me. Mami u said wont stop so i shall start skipping her scenes for my peace of mind. The apology has been nicely discussed in this thread so im not entering it :

The re - marriage & the confession will help the trps a bit but we cant hang on to that for too long just like SaRun cant should the show for too long - there needs to be a consistent story line along with it.

Perfect points Harshu..!! Agreed..!!!

It's maverick's post na ??? Liked it on that day itself..Agreed..

Need of the hour is consistent story line..rabba ve's and all are temporary solutions..

Okay I have expectations fromThursday and Friday.
I think we might be able to get the individual TRP's for these two days somewhere between 2.7 and 2.9.
But the problem is that when we calculate the average we have to count in the other days also.
So I think we will land up between 2.6 and 2.7 this time.
I think the TRP's will increase now, but the major hurdle is Mahadev.
That show has been garnering quite high TRP's and has landed 3.3 rating because we saw the major event of Shiv and Parvati's marriage.
It was the high point of that show.
Now after the wedding we will have all the post marriage stuff happening on that show so viewers need some very strong reason to switch from Mahadev to IPKKND.
Well I hope this time we have at least 0.2 gain in our rating.

Good analysis Nisha! I really want to stay positive for this Wednesday but after seeing every weeks trp chart I am not pinning up hopes for higher trps like around 3 or 3.5.

And @rima completely agree with you:

".It is 'I don't know what will happen' thing that gets the audience to the idiot box"

This element was quite strong earlier which used to pull people towards this show. And I don't really think people drool over Arshi scenes the way we all do ,it was the strong story that attracted even family audiences towards the show.So the SR fiasco which we all loved like anything won't fetch trps either.

There is a nice blend of suspense, drama ,romance in the show right now but I think nowadays the audiences are rather more interested in knowing how to make a mouth watering acchaar.

But as rima said :

"it is a sustained effort that takes months"

I feel the remarriage track will definitely rise up the trps in future!

Sometimes I just dream if all these trp meters were installed in our homes ,we IF members who are in thousands and ardent watchers of this show too, would never have let the trps ever drop.😊

Harshita, I think they should get LM back ASAP.I have a feeling that he can make the Di bhoot and even the Hitler Dadi tolerable.Crap execution is whats making everything so irritating now

@ red - You nailed it Priyanka.
Daadi is not helping with the TRP's.
We can not tolerate her at the expense of insulting our Khushi every now and then.
It cannot work.
Saas bahu drama is not required on our show.
Leave it for the lamp wick and child bride show.
People watch IPKKND for a reason and that reason is not Saas bahu kitchen politics.
We wanted a love story Dammit.
Consumer is the king Dammit.
Give us that reason back dammit and We will get back to 4.6 in no time.

Priyanka beautifully said..!! I wish there was an option to double like ur comment..

You have explained everything perfectly..:)

it lacked intensity and depth...he was more emotional when he apologized to Anjali after Shyam's ouster. - I agree.. Completely..He was repenting though he was not at fault in Anji's case... I had a huge expectations from CV's for redemption track..It was logical dammit..Disappointed..totally disappointed..

it should have had a bigger impact considering this had been building up for over a year now.
- my cent percent on this sentence..It didn't even create an impact..It was just a normal scene for me..as maverick said, Gazebo sorry was way better and very very well executed with so much of intensity all around..

the more they degrade and mess with Khushi's character, the lower the TRPs have gone. They know it, that's why they are giving us this track, but they are still not treating her the way a female LEAD should be treated. - agreed full on here..They have witnessed this in the past..why are they still repeating it ? I simply don't understand.

As far as Dadi promo is concerned it was a bit late.. They aired it a bit late. We already knew that when she entered in the show.. SBB already gave that spoiler. so for me that promo was feeble too.

4 lions totally knows what IPKKND's audience wants to see in the show. It's not about rabba ve's and ARSHI all the time that viewers are asking for. We want some logical end to the tracks. That's it. now their comedy and other 2 to 3 time pass tracks didn't work out they are now trying out the highly common tracks of indian television which will not connect with IPKKND's audience..

Last week's trp's is the proof. Dadi drama is a strict no for Is pyaar..

hope they will realize it soon.
