Kopal The societal norms and the true meaning of the rituals and customs are not really taught... the meaning of every ritual is not discussed... sangeet is usually bollywood songs and dance...every customs now a days is like fast food served and devoured...in olden days marriages used to be big functions occuring for a prolonged period of time...
I think the symbols are just symbols if we do not understand why they are used...Although I'm south Indian...I grew up in Northern India...so when I got married some of my old relatives told me to keep on the toe rings and not remove them... they hold their own meaning but now stands for being married...
Whether we wear the symbols or not is not the question but the question is are we really commited to our relationships and live them from our heart...
When love is based on mutual attraction it cannot last long...the understanding and trust that two people have on each other can help their love to sustain...

Buaji a damaad who truly acted like a son... Everyone missed the point that Arnav agreed to remarry Khushi because he didnot want to taint the love they shared...if agreeing to societal bindings kept it secure... he was ready to undertake the task...
