I hated the nail thing too - but that was the week when they completely decided to butcher Chandni, I actually hated her more when she told him that he was an orphan because he didn't deserve a family...that cut me... the nails could almost be justified, because I don't think she expected him to carry on.. but those words.. too harsh!
