Hello everyone...

I know many don't know me here, I am Kuku, I mostly post stories on RiKara and Shivika here. I was feeling bored and I thought about reading all your views on the current RiKara story, and came here. And couldn't help posting my two cents.

What has Omkara done to save his relationship with Gauri?

The change in RiKara's relation started when Gauri exposed Bua Ma, and Om asks Gauri to stay back, because he wanted to know who the real Gauri is, the-Chulbul-wali-Bua Ma-exposing one or Kaali Takur one. Gauri is surprised, shocked and confused at this change in his attitude and asks him to give her time and space.

What Gauri expects is Om let her know what her place is in his life and they work on their relation. What Om understands is, Gauri needs space, so he stays away from her as much as possible. Om gets confused when Gauri starts asking him about her place in his life, because as far as he is concerned he was clear when he told her that he wants to understand her and she asked for space, which he gave. Now, when he is supposed to stay away from her while she sorted out her issue, how was he going to understand her and explain to her?

Then came the breaking point for both, when Gauri reminded him of the Bareilly incident and immediately after asked about her place in his life. Om who is freshly reminded about what had happened in Bareilly blasts her and declares that she has no place in his heart and life. Gauri leaves home.

Then comes Dandi and he clears the misconception in seconds (do read my thoughts on Dandi below😆), and finally Om knows that the real Gauri is Chulbul and the one who saved him from Bua Ma. His confusions cleared, he wants her to come back.

He sees her at the exhibition and is happy. Many are confused regarding him wanting her at the first exhibition and not at the second, it is because the situations are different. First exhibition, he was desperate that she come back into his life, his priority was she coming back and understanding that his misunderstandings are cleared, he no longer has any confusion regarding her, and that she is his inspiration while the second exhibition, she is already back in OM, she knows that there are no misunderstandings, and she knows she is his inspiration. She being his inspiration, he only needs her to know, not the whole world at present because that would raise questions as to who she is, and he has no answer to that.

When she comes back, he is happy and relieved. He just wanted her back, it was pretty clear because when she says she came back for Shivika and because of Rudy call, he is still happy as he says, "whatever the reasons be, you are back, only that matters." And then she says her famous dialogue "Sirf Bahu" and he is heartbroken.

He knows that he hurt her, and believes that he rightfully deserves her anger and silence, but he doesn't give up hope, because he tells her that "we need to talk" and she replies "not now.", he gives in, and is in fact waiting for her to come to him and tell him, "now is the right time, let's talk." And then he calls her "Gauri Kumari Sharma" and in the same breath he corrects himself, "I mean, Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi". That underlines that he has pretty much accepted her as his wife, but thinks that now, Gauri is not in the same page and she needs time.

From the beginning, it was shown that Omkara thinks their wedding was a drama, and knows that there is no legal validity to it, so for him they are not married. But he is more on the lines of, we are not married, but Gauri is my wife/life partner kind of a state. Even before the misunderstandings were cleared, it was like that, because when Gauri says "Haan, humari saans bohut gore hai", he doesn't rebuke her, he smiles.

He is happy and rather smug(😆) when people compare their jodi to Shiv-Parvathi while he gets nervous when someone mention their marriage, because Gauri is back to his house only as 'sirf bahu', and add to that Anika telling him, 'Gauri has moved on', he no longer knows what he means for her. He is not in love with her, but he cares for her great deal, worries for her, is protective and possessive about her, and genuinely wants to work on their relation.

So, coming to my question what has Omkara done to save his relation? He somewhat believes that after what he put her through by not believing her, now, she holds the baton to decide on their relation (it is another thing that Gauri doesn't realize that she is holding the baton) So, he has done what Gauri has asked him to do. Gauri asked for space, he believed what she said and gave her space, not understanding that she meant to make a decision on whether to stay in OM or not. She makes the decision to stay and expects him to make the next move, while Om is waiting for her to tell him what to do next after he gave her space, because he tells Rudy that she has asked for space. Unaware that Gauri had actually moved to the next step and waiting for his move, while he unaware remained in the previous step. Then Gauri put the sirf bahu' tag, and he accepted it, and is waiting for her to change the tag.

Poor dude doesn't realize that, he needs to go deeper than the surface and understand what Gauri wants. And Gauri needs to understand that, Omkara doesn't have the fine talent of reading between the lines, sach ka boyfriend sees everything in black and white, and what she tells him, is what he is going to do, nothing more and nothing less.

I know, by evening when the new episode airs, I am going to be proved completely wrong, but still, it is fun speculating😆.

Meant no offense to anyone, just explaining what I have understood so far. Would love to read all your thoughts on it.

P.S: Is it only me, or does anyone else think that Dandi always pops up when someone (read Gauri and the last time Jhanvi) is in trouble, kind of like another show, when a man kept popping up whenever the heroine was in trouble, hinting at that he is God... here with Gauri's vishwas being so strong that it is either Shankar Ji or Ganesh Ji as Gauri does pray to him just as she reached Mumbai and immediately met Dandi... LOL all Nandanam fans, are we going to see another version of "Njan kandu, njaane kandullu"?)
