All the sugar coating put aside this is what I think happened, in my opinion, ishqbaaz was doing really well inspite of all the randomness and people and story lines coming in and out but the super hot chemistry between anika and shivay worked wonders. But in order to give the viewers what they wanted there wasn't enough time to show the other couples so the makers thought that they could create another show and recreate the whole scenario of the ruthless businessman and ordinary girl and make another super show. Therefore om was shown to become another shivay just before the launch of dbo but the whole thing colllapsed maybe due the writers/ makers not being able give both of the shows the appropriate attention so now they have decided to merge both of them together to occupy both of the time slots together.

I want to add just one thing

with merger Om is again back to pehle wala OM

He is not DBO wala OM anymore😳

Sorry if I am wrong because I didn't watch DBO just first two three weeks😳

Never Ever believe GUL & CO. and don't watch her shows this is my lesson but I am gonna watch IB because I love Shivika and OBros with Rikara and Rudra with her lady love.

o my mata !!! tw baki couples ki grwoth b tw shivika jesi dikhao na😡😆😆 unko zabardasti hamare oopr daal dia hai with no valid explanation, need and logic for the current tracks and sidelining shivika so much that they have lost their charm for now😆

agar chahte e nahi the k hum emotional hon tw ye sara drama b aap e ka rachaya hua hai na.. jab smbhal nh raha tw khud emotionless ho k scenes likhte ho to torture us with non-sense(now dun say that dun watch if you dun like it, b/c even after non-sense we are sticking around without being emotionless like you😆) then you tell us to not get emotional😕 ehn emotional nahi honge tw connected kese honge n connected nahi honge tw who will watch D-I-B-B-O(Dil Ishq Bole Baaz Oberoi)😆😡😆

What an ILLogical reply😆 Even if u have roped Salman Khan in DBO, it would be still same. Coz that horrible those tracks are Despite of the bakwass plots it's the ACTORS who saved it. And if u really think that OBros alone with this fillers can work without PROPER progression in their resp stories then all I want to say is, all the best. Go ahead🤓

thanks for sharing, and i'm not gonna get into who is better or worst anyway

1) but point to note that Gul has amnesia because when DBO started, DBO itself started on a BARC trp of 2.1 or 2.2 while IB had a trp of 2.3-2.4.

IB's highest Barc trp was 2.9 post DBO.

2) now back to shivika needs Obros and DBO needs shivika!

wasnt she the same mahaan lady who said a few months back in a IV with Raj that Obros didnt work or fetch them the required trps?

so she forgot her own IVs lately, how convenient to deform information as per her wishes

3) everyone will agree here, despite that IB/DBO merged would automatically generate higher trps, Gul shouldnt forget why the drop in trps even happened in the respective shows

for IB: trps have been going down since Pinky;s torturous track started

for DBO: i think it was because of dragging of Svet and her supernatural track

so clearly neither show failed by themselves, neither fandom failed, infact the CVs and writers failed and now to cover up their failure they are giving this merger and making as if viewers are idiots

i would have believed her if we ourselves didnt have proper records of Barc trps, while Gul is talking only about SP trps😆

does the producer really feel viewers are dumb now?

like they destroyed each show with their rubbish tracks, now even the merger is being destroyed because they clearly have no idea how to even proceed or what to give now

20mins might have been difficult to be fair, but 43 mins or should is say 220mins per week, and yet they cant give a fair logical track?

who are they kidding?

Probably gul's next reply would be neither obors are working nor shivika and she will show ragini, bhaloo aur svetlana. Wo bhi kaam nahi karega toh show band kardegi par yeh kabhi nahi manegi ki haa bhai mein jo main dhikatu hu uska na sar hai na pair par Main yeh saach kabhi nahi maanugu kyunki loogo ko bewakoof bannana mera favoutite pass time hai

I agree to all of you, she is just saying anything that comes to her mind

I dont know what her intention is but this track is definitely not gonna fetch TRPs (I am saying this despite the fact that being an Obbros fan, I am loving each and every bit of it and watching it twice - on TV as well as Hotstar), but this doesnt work for majority of the audience who contribute to TRPs

Now coming to DBO and IB, I dont think DBO ever had a story, it was just a lame show with some random characters and scenes, (whatever TRP it maintained, and remained the slot leader for 4.5 months was literally the charity of the viewers of the chemistry of Shrenal (wont say Rikara, as we never had Rikara)

Similarly in IB they showed whatever the story they had for Shivika, from romance to fighting the evil to everything, but then, they had nothing left to show, so they thought to get saas bahu and separation, whether you believe or not but this works for 60-70% of the audience, but that backfired, as separation turned out to be another disappointment, I guess this is the reason that they decided to merge so that the viewers of both the shows watch the complete show and increase TRP

Its ironic that when IB was being told to be a brothers show, all we got was Anika and Shivika and when people accepted that IB was about Shivika, she suddenly retorted to remind that it was always a brothers show, ab agar aisa hi tha to why did you not show the brothers since the beginning????

So this means that she is least interested in viewers choice, she just shows whatever comes to her mind and whenever and makes a statement basis her mood on that day,

Dbo does not work? Tell the madam that DBO had got the pathetic of pathetic story which tasted even the patience of fans like us who stick to tv for just glimpse of favs. If leave the first two weeks of show and last week of show when we get rikara good scene. Dbo was overdose of illogical , weird vamp technology. I still can't forget svet skating, fakelana, deadlana, multilana. Alive person in freezer 😕 boy drowned easily in swimming pools. Bua maa skating on wheel chair.

If I start counting illogical scenes then this count will not stop soon. I can't even suggest to friend to watch dbo tracks because I know instead of leads love story we got alien science fiction and animal planet with a vamp whose monologue get daily 15 minutes.

Despite these stupid haunting illogical track if this show survived 4.5 months with max as slot leader and decent viewership credit goes to leads.

Did she and her writers ever did anything to elevate the level of show. Even if she could not give a good story atleast had given track which could had made sense.

That ghost track was highly embarrassing.

After all this nonsense she say dbo did not work. Rival channel show which trp was always below dbo suddenly got up when slot and story change. It was not out of miracle but makers tried hard to improve the show.

But in our show despite dropping trp and numerous feedback and complain about tracks, makers kept showing kuch bhi.

They said it's love story but except love story it was everything rubbish.
