I love your MBTI reference. I think you've nailed Ishaana and Om. I am an ENFP as well and I relate to Ishaana greatly. I have all these dreams and goals but my emotions always get in the way of making serious decisions.
I would love an MBTI thread on the forum. I will definitely join in and I'd love to know personality types of forumwasis as well!

😳😳😳 You flatter me, endlessly

WOW, I'm so thrilled that there are a few people on this forum, engaging in the MBTI premise. I think it's worth making a thread now.

So many ENFPs around here!

I guess you typed the character based on ppl you. I do that too and I also consider the facts. We all know that no 2 people are the same so even if we have all met 1000s of people of each type, we can't be accurate at typing them.

I felt Shivay is INTJ because he overthinks everything. That's why he assumes that many things that Anika does it for money. He overthinks and that's why he has so many pills. He's also not the kind of person who opens up to everybody. Not even Tia whom he has known for quite some time. He is open about his feelings only to his family.
From the ESTJs I have met they tend to be a little more relaxed compared to INTJs. They wouldn't gobble up medicines thinking they MIGHT get sick and they don't overthink every move someone makes. That's why I typed him as INTJ.

I thought about it and you are right about Anika. She's an ESTP(That explains why I like her so much😆). She tends to be Ne(She thought about Shivay's Kuda comment over and over again and what her bua said and she ended up crying) but it's not dominant.

I don't know why you are undecided about Rudra. xxxJ people are very organized and from the recent episodes, we know how messy he is. So I think he's ESFP.

I think we agree on soumya.

You didn't type the ther characters that I had typed. Wondering what yu think about it.

I can see why you might think Shivaay is an INTJ; there are quite a few characteristics that match, however I still think he is an ESTJ. Reason being, INTJ's are usually quite open-minded, they are broad thinkers and despise hierarchical or intensely structured environments. Shivaay relishes in enforcing order, he is quite stubborn and does not want to tolerate anything beyond his predetermined standards, hence is earlier distaste for Anika. ESTJ's are usually very focused on maintaining social standards, which is one of the first qualities that was established about Shivaay.

I agree that Rudra appears to be an ESFP, but many of his weaknesses align with particular ESFJ vices, hence my hesitation in labelling him. He can be overly needy and too sensitive at times, and like Shivaay, he is also very concerned about maintaining social appearances.

For the others:

Daadi: ENFP

Tej: ENTJ

Jhanvi: ISFP

Shakti: ISTJ

Pinky: ESFJ

Priyanka: ISFJ

I have never commented on any post here. Or elsewhere on IF. Nor shall I be doing it in the foreseeable future. I used to be an active member years ago, when youth shows like DMG were popular. I made a number of friends who I'm in contact with on other social medias. Somehow seeing how rude and exceptionally 'brash' people can be behind a computer screen put me off IF for years. Been silent ever since. Until today. Your post incited an indescribable enough feeling so I could muster up some words to jot down my two-cents as well. For that alone, dear person, you're an artist.

Ishana is such a beautiful character. Sure she's messy, she's confused and flamboyant. Aren't we all? All these people constantly bashing her, I wonder how poorly they must live their lives. Or how easily actually. She's messy because she's in despair. She has a family to look out for. She's a con by necessity, and SURE they are other ways to earn money. I wonder though, have someone put a gun to your little sister's head for millions and think about the options that would come up in your head first. Even Anika went to see Shivay when she thought her little brother wouldn't have a roof on his head. Oh sure, Dadi fortunately gave her a job, what otherwise? We'd all do messy things for the people who love us and we love back.

She's instinctive. She sees a lot of Omkara in herself. They brilliantly showed her rebuking her father when he told her to take advantage of Om/Shivay helicopter situation. She recognizes the pain, perhaps because she's been through enough herself. Or perhaps because he was there when she was vulnerable herself! They might be opposites, they might have nothing in common, but they click on the only level that matters sometimes - the ability to sit next to someone and be able to talk for hours. Where feelings meet, where pain meets, why should it need any other reason? I've been friends with people with opposites personalities for decades on, simply for that.

She's flamboyant. Sometimes, I literally stare at my LT screen while reading; wondering HOW could people POSSIBLY bash a character for that? I have done a mini 'bhangra-dance' thousand of times when hearing something that made me happy. I literally did it once while driving back 'cause I was that joyful about a confirmed overseas trip I had been wishing for ages. She's a dreamer. She's ambitious sure, but little things make her happy. Actually, isn't that what we want for Om? He's has nothing to give but himself, because he doesn't believe anything in the Oberoi mansion is even his, except for his brothers. He's a loner, and he would wish someone who would care for nothing, but soothe his pain. In my opinion, she's perfect for him just for that reason alone.

I've enjoyed the show so much thus far, and I got to say, I had the lowest of expectations joining in, 'cause it's a Gul/SP show. Sure there are loads of glitches, and enough inconsistencies. However, you're watching a 'fictional' show. Either have a low level of tolerance, or get out. It's Indian TV. Plus, give it some time. They have such a huge star-cast. How possible is it to accommodate 10 strong characters in a 20 min-period? And every single character, even secondaries like Tia have been growing on me. Anika, Ishaana and Saumya are all perfect fits for the three brothers in different ways. Aren't they all opposites? All three love stories have the potential to reach heights. Heck, even Tej-Jhanvi now have me hooked. Angst has no age, and neither does love. It can be rekindled at any age, or time. I wish people would stop making hurtful posts on a one-day episode. But oh well, this is IF after all.

Thank you. Rant over. Great to know that people like you are stil around. If you all have a thread or group somewhere for great discussions, I would love to be a part of it. All awesome people I have had the pleasure of knowing left IF years ago due to the above-mentioned reasons!

P.S. - I almost agree with all personality associations someone made in latter pages. I'm a total ENFP too, just like Ishaana. Except for the houses designation. Somehow I don't think any of them would fit in a single house. Except Tej - he's definitely Slytherin. And Anika would definitely think she's Gryffindor, just for that 'never-die' attitude. She's hilarious too, like our Ron.

I placed each person in different houses in pg3 of this thread. You are right. All of them won't fit into a single house. Do check out and tell me what you think of my sorting

HI Sneha!

Firstly, I feel so honoured that my post could bring you out of your self-imposed exile, and thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate the support.

Your analysis of Ishaana is lovely, and so accurate. I completely agree with you. Every single character (except, of course, Svetlana), really grows on me every day. I couldn't stand Pinky at the beginning, but I love her to bits now - she can be hilarious! All of the leads fascinate me, and are enjoyable in their own space as well as through their interactions with each other.

It is so disheartening to come to the forum and see so much bashing all the time. People are ridiculously judgemental over the most trivial things. Another thing that infuriates me is that personal prejudice against an actor often motivates irrational and blatant hatred for a character. People need to learn to differentiate between the two.

I find it hard to sort people into houses as well! I'm an ISTJ Slytherin, and like you mentioned I too can see Tej in Slytherin. I would say Gryffindor for all the male leads and Anika, Slytherin for Ishaana and perhaps, Ravenclaw for Saumya. She's as cute as Luna Lovegood, and she's definitely bright, so why not?

Thanks again for joining our discussion. You express yourself beautifully and I would love to learn more of your thoughts.

You know me so well! 😆

I just saw one chunky, clumsy paragraph and completely ignored it.

Pizzaologist, Parthianglory and Echo.of.Hope:

Sure! A bit taken up right now, but would love to participate in such discussions at a later date. Thank you! Nice knowing you all. :)

P.S. - I do hope IshKara story advances, rather than being just filling blanks between episodes. Haven't watched the past two episodes, but I'm guessing there hasn't been much change. I also hope RuMya's love story isn't just becoming an AnShi 2.0. It's annoying. We already have naughty, mischievous Anika and Shivay entertaining us just enough. They could find another way for the others. They could spin RuMya in so many various ways. Soumya was introduced so differently, it's like these people forget their own characters week by week.

Might be taken up for around a month, I promise to be more active after that. If the forum doesn't turn into another war zone after new entries that is. :) See y'all.
