Rodrigues finishes with a 33-ball 69 and Delhi Capitals have finished with a massive 192 on the board. They started well with Lanning making a half-century, Shafali made a 12-ball 28, but it was kJemimah's knock that took her team into a commanding position - he played some sublime shots to bring up a 27-ball half-century and left MI pondering. One square boundary was short at 46m and she kept finding the gaps. 192 is a massive score, but MI will believe they have the batting to overhaul this score.

Shabnim Ismail: I thought the wicket would be quicker than what it was. I was trying to bowl wicket to wicket. Cannot bowl too full or too short. They batted really well. (On breaching the 130kph barrier) I don't remember, I actually don't look at the big screen while bowling (laughs). Very disappointed in my bowling (tonight). There were a few misfields and dropped chances. Hopefully we can chase this target down. (What they wanted to restrict DC to) We never actually thought about that. The wicket was really slow. Any bad ball we bowled, they capitalised on it. Hopefully our batters can get this (score).

Wow, what a stunning display of stroke-making by Rodrigues. She finishes on 69* off 33 balls and that has catapulted the Capitals to 192. She accessed almost every area of the field, with her sixes and her shots over point, in particular, a sight to behold. It felt that MI, at times, had run out of ideas and that does not happen often.

Lanning played her part too, registering yet another WPL fifty, while Shafali was at her blistering best at the top of the order, ensuring the Capitals made the most of the powerplay. This is the third time the Capitals have now managed a score in excess of 170 this season and they have been full value for it.

A rare off-day with the ball for the defending champions. Vastrakar was the pick of the bunch, with her hard lengths and zip off the surface troubling the Capitals. Apart from that, though, none of the bowlers could exert control. Kerr and Ismail going for more than 10 runs per over perhaps summed up their night, and now they will hope their batters can rival what the Capitals did. Join us in a bit for the run-chase!
