I would like to know what the difference between Brahmastra and Brahmashira is and why was it considered more powerful than the astras of the three deities.

The divine protector bears me as his weapon.

I am seldom mentioned though there are instances of me being used.

Who am I?

Hint: The other weapons borne by this God is mentioned pretty often, so its not the obvious.

Vishnu's gada (mace)?

Fantastic question, regardless of what the answer is! 👍🏼

To answer your other questions:

Both are weapons of Brahma, but the Brahmastra was typically used against one who had a boon from Brahma, like Ravan did. Brahmastra was used pretty often, whereas the only time Brahmashira was invoked was by Ashwatthama. Brahmastra wasn't invincible - I think in Kurukshetra, Karna or Arjun used it against the other, and it got neutralized by the other's Agniastra 😕 Brahmashira was unmatched, which is why when Ashwatthama launched his, Krishna urged Arjun to respond w/ his own.

Same thing - Shiva's Pasupatastra was different from his Trishul. Like He granted the former to Arjuna when he did his Shiva meditation during the vanvas. But his Trishul - he once gave a derivative trushul to Devi Durga to fight Mahishashur, and on another occasion, he gave a different derivative Trishul to Madhu - Lavanasura's father.

Not to leave out Vishnu - his Sudarshan Chakra was different from the Narayan astra. Ashwathama asked Krishna for the former, but was given the latter. During the war, when Ashwatthama used it against the Pandava army after Drona's death, Krishna told them how to avoid it's punishing effects, and neuter it (namely by surrendering to it and casting off all their weapons). Other than to Devi Durga, I don't think Vishnu ever gave the Sudarshan Chakra to anyone.

From astras to apsaras 😆
I was an apsara in Indra's court, and once married one of his allies in his wars against the Asuras.

Long after his death, I fell for one of Indra's sons, who rejected me, thereby earning my curse.

I am...?

Urvashi is right. One more, and I'll pass it over.

I was the father of one prince, and a mother of another. Who am I? 😈😆

Hint: My story appears in the Uttarkand, in the Ramayan
